I wrote a review on yelp earlier but now it's gone so I just have to write another one. This shop is by far the best and most knowledgeable shop I have ever visited. I've had car problems for the entire time I've had my car and this is the first time I feel like it was properly fixed. The guys who work here, especially Peter, are honest and experts at what they do. They fixed my car in a timely manner and even though it's old, it runs like new. I highly recommend this place. I hope yelp doesn't delete this again because everyone should know how great this place is. GO GO GO HERE. DITCH YOUR OTHER MECHANIC AND GO TO HIM. This auto repair shop is indeed fantastic. The place is small and located right behind 76 gas station off Mast Blvd and Park Center Drive on Santee. Peter is a very honest mechanic and know his stuff. They are not as expensive like pep boys, express or other big auto repair shops. I had them replace the brake rotor on my Corolla since the car would shake when I applied brake. They did a very good job and since then I have been taking mu car there dor oil change and if I have any questions or worry about my car. Peter has given me multiple free consultations and he even fixed my bumper that were falling off. I can honestly recommend this shop to anyone around this area. read more

HANDS-DOWN, THE BEST AUTO REPAIR EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I'm a praying man that believes in miracles, and I believe I experienced one at this fine establishment in direct answer to prayer. I was on my way to help a friend move some furniture in my old F150 pickup when I heard what sounded like rainfall under the rood. Say what? I popped the lid to discover that my serpentine belt had disintegrated into confetti all over my engine, with just a thread still holding together. Realizing that I could not get very far, my wife and I prayed right there and then for a miracle. We did a search and found Phantastic literally right around the corner from where we were. We limped to their very crowded lot, hoping dearly that we were not in for bad news on an expensive repair that would take all day. Peter came out and helped us right away. He took a good look, and gave me a price quote that was extraordinarily reasonable and indicated it would be done in a little over an hour. He delivered on both promises like clockwork. He warned me that the engine might have additional problems that led to the belt failure, but verified in the end that it was just a very old belt. More bad news averted! A good friend referred us to Peter and Phantastic Auto when we bought an older used van. We wanted someone we could trust, who was knowledgeable, trustworthy and wouldn't rip us off. I have to say I'm confident we found our family mechanic and will be taking our van and car to Phantastic Auto from now on for maintenance and repair. We knew buying an older used van would invite some issues. Thankfully Peter was able to diagnosis a check engine light as the gas cap needing to be replaced and reset the light for free, when Pep Boys wanted to charge us $95 just to diagnose "if" it was the gas cap "or something more". Fast, honest, and nice technicians! My car recently ran out of batteries, and so one of the technician suggested that he comes with me where my car was left hanging and checked everything thoroughly within 20 minutes to get it temporarily moving! Extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. They don't over charge for labor unlike other places, so that's a +1 star. Highly recommend this place. It's hidden behind the gas station, but it's under rated, so please check them out! read more
