Had no intentions to make this a stop today but on our way to the mall we couldn't help but stop to fill my wife's apple pastry cravings. They had a very big selection of pastries and other "country market" type of products. Unfortunately we didn't take a photo of the items we bought except for one thing. I had the gluten free chocolate whoopie pie which was overflowing with cream filling and I completely covered my faces and hands consuming it. However, it wasn't the tastiest pastry I've ever had. My wife had the same sentiments about her apple turnover, cinnamon twist, and apple coffee cake. Actually, she did say the apple coffee cake was very good and by far the best of the three she chose. The other item I did manage to take a photo of is my first ever coffee milk which I have no point of reference so I'd compare it to a nestle quick chocolate milk with a hint of coffee. We'd go back again for the apple coffee cake and I'd try another gluten free option. read more

Interesting place, serves mainly coffee, pastry, muffins and the like. The coffee both hot and iced are very good. Sandwiches from the case premade are also available, although I have not tried them yet. The establishment consists of a couple of rooms with chairs of various kind, tables etc. it can get very crowded. However further along there is a large room with plenty of seating. The muffins are excellent, as are most of the pastry particularly the cream items. The only downside for me has been the scones, very uneven sometimes almost raw. But all in all a pleasant place. I like muffins. A lot. And the best I have probably ever had are from Phantom Farm in Cumberland. My parents live nearby and we soon discovered this place. It's a real farm that grows real delicious berries and then they reward you by packing them into delicious, moist muffins. My favorites are cranberry nut, blueberry and cran. I'll even eat the muffins that aren't my favorite flavors cause they find a way to make it good. Yum. Stop by if you're in the area. read more

A family tradition For years our family has traveled out to The Big Apple to get our annual pumpkin and some other fall products. This year was no different with the exception that we had some extra last minute guests over and we needed an extra pumpkin. Phantom Farms is actually closer so I sent my husband to get a pumpkin and get back as soon as possible this way our guests would not have to wait. He brought back a wonder pumpkin that was 28 lbs, that is about the size we normally get but it cost us $25.00! The problem with the pumpkin was that it was more then double the price of our 32 lb Big Apple Pumpkin which cost $11.00. I just stood in shock, I couldnt believe the price. Im so disapointed with Phantom Farms, the price was outragous. At one point I was a single mother (my ex husband had past away) and we could barley afford anything extra. If we were to have shopped Phantom Farms we would have to missed out on our family traditions. read more

I typically go to Phantom Farms because of the personalized service and the fact that it's a small local business. The people who work there seem to love what they do. I like that I always see families and friends gathering together there. The muffins, scones, cupcakes, and sandwiches are all delicious, but my personal favorite items are the chocolate chocolate chip muffins, the pistachio nut muffins, and the snickerdoodle iced coffee. read more

Stopped in for a muffin after hearing how good their pumpkin muffins were. I tried the Peanut Butter Cup muffin. HOLY MOLEY, its the holy grail of muffins. Quite EPIC to say the least... Since there was no Starbucks on this route to my destination, I decided to try the Iced Dark coffee. I didn't expect much of it since I am a starbucks snob and all. I was very impressed with the coffee. Very smooth and had a good kick. The staff was friendly, but not overly friendly as to be fake. Good-ol' down to earth friendly service. Something big chains can NEVER duplicate. Now I know why the place is always busy. On the weekends people will run you over to get into this PF's... This charming little farmstand not too far from Providence has a huge pumpkin patch, a great pick-you-own apple orchard, and a bustling cafe area with adorable outdoor seating and lots of specialty foods as well. My family & I visit this place several times a year. Cute little place that offers delicious pies, fudge, & assorted pastries as well as fresh cider & several descent coffee drinks too. You can even buy pies or apple pie filling to bake at home. My favorite time to visit is in the fall. Whether it's Apple picking, or deciding on the perfect pumpkin & fall decor for our home, it's a fun experience for all. Just keep in mind, it's a small place; not too much seating & not too much outdoor space that people are actually allowed to explore. But the charm & friendliness of the staff...and the pies...keep me coming back. An apple farm that has no apple picking in early October. Definitely a waste of time. Too bad. Hopefully next year there is an improvement on the duration of the season. Cute place. The first time I went for coffee, dessert, and conversation with a friend. Nice atmosphere, friendly workers, and our desserts were delicious. I have already went back again this time trying the pastries (apple turnover, raspberry twist, toffee chip scone, and banana muffin). Everything I've tried so far has been great! This place has the best apple pie! That's the reason I go every year, and I tell everyone that their pie is the best! I also love when they have live music. I miss the multi-flavored honey sticks. DO NOT GO HERE FOR APPLE PICKING. What a disappointment! My husband and I love fall. It's our favorite season. Apple and pumpkin picking, cider, chili, and of course pumpkin EVERYTHING. We traveled out to this orchard after seeing the great reviews, but couldn't have more disappointed. $20 for a small bag of apples? Not ok when the apples are 20ft from the parking lot. Oh and there's a hay ride. But you pay $2 per person to ride in a circle around the orchard. (Including $2 for my 8 month old- what??) Don't waste your time. read more

This place is really firing on all cylinders. It's the sort of country store every town should have. Pretty to look at, it sells vegetables in summer and fall, PYO apples, Christmas trees in winter. Inside they have a really nice pastry case, flavored coffees, a cheese case, wine by the bottle from the winery across the street. Whole pies, coffee cakes, local butter and eggs. My favorite thing is the 5 lb bag of peeled/cored/sliced apples so you can make pie or apple crisp in a flash. A handful of tables, an outdoor patio in warm weather. A small but nice selection of jams and other local foodstuffs as well as gifty/crafty items. Love this place. read more

Adorable place to stop for a coffee or snack. They have pumpkins and fall harvest stuff and other seasonal stuff year round. It is part nursery, part coffee shop/ bakery, part gift shop, etc. I like to stop in when I have 30 minutes to spend in between other appointments. My favorite place to go when I have extra time. Just walking around with a coffee on a summer or fall afternoon is the best. (In the summer the chickens wander around with you while you shop!) Wonderful local business with great food, pastries and coffee. Get most of my plants here for spring summer and fall too.
