This was my first visit to Phantom Farms and I enjoyed browsing around the cute farm store with lots of baked goods including pie slices, Irish soda breads, and a variety of pastries, as well as Wright's Dairy Farm milk. they also have a sandwich and coffee menu. I ordered two sandwiches - mine was a roast beef sandwich on sourdough, and I ordered a chicken caesar wrap for my husband. Both sandwiches were made to order, were very tasty, and were a good size. Service was prompt and friendly. I didn't stay to eat them there, but Phantom Farms does have a nice variety of seating areas, from cozy areas in the main room, to a sunlight filled little room with just a few tables, to a large seating area that had a high ceiling with wooden beams. I also got a chocolate chip cookie which was large, soft, and chewy - just the way I like them! I would definitely stop in again if in the area.

Always an awesome experience always the food is freshly made to order. Everybody is wonderful. It explains everything you need to know. They now have special menus much bigger for older people which is wonderful. It's nice and quiet here today which is kind of different. I like the fact that it's not so easy we came from passport and. It was super nice about explaining what sandwiches recovery it's gonna be a luncheon sandwich which is nice. We were able to try the chicken Caesar salad, honey, grilled croissant it was delicious. We also picked up a few extra things for home. We got some cookies and a muffin for breakfast tomorrow morning and make really good stuff. Looking forward to coming again.

Had a nice Saturday stop-in at Phantom Farms. My first impression was that parking was pretty painful -- not quite enough parking in their lot, there were many people waiting for spots. We loved their bakery, there were great gluten-free options and goodies for all ages. We tried their iced lemonade which was delicious! There was a great kids area with bounce houses and a mini hay maze. My niece got her face painted and the results were super cute. The hay ride was out-of-order which was a bit of a disappointment. The actual apple-picking left much to be desired. The price seemed a bit steep ($30 for a bag) and the orchard itself was pretty small. We found some trees with apples near the back, thankfully! Overall, good experience that left some to be desired. I would probably go to another apple farm next time.

Stopped in after an event. Quaint cafe with pastries, frozen pies, Coffee and desserts. Plenty of tables and areas inside and outside to sit, good wifi, quiet. Had some hot snd cold coffees and some pastry to sit and relax. My hot coffee was not very hot and the fruit scone looked not fully baked in center. Will try again.

Phantom Farms is such a cute little market and bakery! You can pick up some nice gift items here along with some local staples from the refrigerated/freezer case. Peruse the bakery items like pies, breads, cookies, and muffins baked at Phantom Farms. While you're at it, grab a bite for breakfast or lunch and get a coffee to go! I visited as part of the RI Food Fights Breakfast Sandwich showdown and my breakfast sandwich and coffee were so delicious! I will definitely be back!

I come here pretty frequently for coffee which is usually pretty good, but today I stopped in for a hot coffee which was not filled to the top nor very hot. I also ordered a chicken Caesar wrap without chicken to go. I paid full price for the wrap which I expected but when I opened it, it was a plain wrap with slabs of cheese in the middle and maybe 3 pieces of lettuce. No croutons. Drenched in dressing. The cafe was not at all busy, and this seemed like pure laziness and carelessness. So many other great places to go, I probably will not be back.

I have visited this wonderful farm a few times and am always delighted. The coffee and sandwiches are delicious. They have a wide variety of pastries and ready made treats. They also have a shop with unique gifts. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was also beautifully decorated for the holidays on my last visit.

Phantom Farms is truly a Rhode Island Gem. So many delicious food items to choose from. I ordered an iced Caramel Apple Latte, bacon egg and cheese on an Asiago bagel, caramel Apple cake loaf, and a chocolate croissant. Everything was spectacular and the staff were so friendly and made me feel welcome. The shop is so cozy with a gift shop, bakery, garden center, and an additional room with plenty of seating.

love this place so many cute little things within the store to look at and a huge eating area too with lots of natural lighting. The farm fresh stuff always catches my eyes (like this time i bought jalapeños and donut peachs) (for bacon wrapped jalapeños and peach cobbler of course) but they have so many other options to choose from including coffee, pies, candy, fudge, sandwiches, cakes, etc. will definitely be coming here a lot as the fall comes because thats when they have all my favorites

What was once a staple for muffins, coffee, and other assorted goodies has since witnessed a decline in product value. Case in point, the "shrinking muffin". New ownership has taken the helm and things just aren't the same. It's not surprising new ownership will make changes. You just hope those changes are for the good. There is an attempt to streamline and improve the customer transaction time which is a bit cumbersome right now, but perhaps will improve. It's terribly frustrating with loyal customers see a drop in the size of a product when the price stays the same... "shrink-flation"? Case in point, muffins. Everyone loves Phanton Farms muffins. You love the quality, the variety, the flavor, the size and the price. The price hasn't changed and the flavor hasn't changed but boy the size of them have gone down precipitously. I hope this was just a blip on the radar and not what we are to expect moving forward. Image of the "mini muffin" included.

Stopped in to check this place out and got a Coffee and Bagel . Quaint is the key word when speaking about Phantom Farms, if you are in the beautiful Northern Cumberland area, this is certainly worth your time!

A family tradition For years our family has traveled out to The Big Apple to get our annual pumpkin and some other fall products. This year was no different with the exception that we had some extra last minute guests over and we needed an extra pumpkin. Phantom Farms is actually closer so I sent my husband to get a pumpkin and get back as soon as possible this way our guests would not have to wait. He brought back a wonder pumpkin that was 28 lbs, that is about the size we normally get but it cost us $25.00! The problem with the pumpkin was that it was more then double the price of our 32 lb Big Apple Pumpkin which cost $11.00. I just stood in shock, I couldnt believe the price. Im so disapointed with Phantom Farms, the price was outragous. At one point I was a single mother (my ex husband had past away) and we could barley afford anything extra. If we were to have shopped Phantom Farms we would have to missed out on our family traditions. read more

I typically go to Phantom Farms because of the personalized service and the fact that it's a small local business. The people who work there seem to love what they do. I like that I always see families and friends gathering together there. The muffins, scones, cupcakes, and sandwiches are all delicious, but my personal favorite items are the chocolate chocolate chip muffins, the pistachio nut muffins, and the snickerdoodle iced coffee. read more

This charming little farmstand not too far from Providence has a huge pumpkin patch, a great pick-you-own apple orchard, and a bustling cafe area with adorable outdoor seating and lots of specialty foods as well. The cakes and pies looked amazing and they had caramel and candy apples for the season as well. Staff was friendly and quick. Don't be scared away by the lunch line -- it moves quickly! read more

Stopped in for a muffin after hearing how good their pumpkin muffins were. I tried the Peanut Butter Cup muffin. HOLY MOLEY, its the holy grail of muffins. Quite EPIC to say the least... Since there was no Starbucks on this route to my destination, I decided to try the Iced Dark coffee. I didn't expect much of it since I am a starbucks snob and all. I was very impressed with the coffee. Very smooth and had a good kick. The staff was friendly, but not overly friendly as to be fake. Good-ol' down to earth friendly service. Something big chains can NEVER duplicate. Now I know why the place is always busy. On the weekends people will run you over to get into this PF's... Theres not much around that compares to the food, service, and ambiance. read more

An apple farm that has no apple picking in early October. Definitely a waste of time. Too bad. Hopefully next year there is an improvement on the duration of the season. It would be really nice if there website worked or at least notify people driving in from far away that the apple picking season is over. read more

Great place. I enjoy my visits here. Down side..Limited parking on paved area and non paved area needs some hole repair as not everyone drives big SUVs and small low cars and deep wide holes are not a good combination. read more

My family & I visit this place several times a year. Cute little place that offers delicious pies, fudge, & assorted pastries as well as fresh cider & several descent coffee drinks too. You can even buy pies or apple pie filling to bake at home. My favorite time to visit is in the fall. Whether it's Apple picking, or deciding on the perfect pumpkin & fall decor for our home, it's a fun experience for all. Just keep in mind, it's a small place; not too much seating & not too much outdoor space that people are actually allowed to explore. But the charm & friendliness of the staff...and the pies...keep me coming back. Oh, and you can easily set up fundraising via Phantom Farms too; my kids' schools have done it several times, and have been quite successful, especially when done near a holiday read more

Cute place. The first time I went for coffee, dessert, and conversation with a friend. Nice atmosphere, friendly workers, and our desserts were delicious. I have already went back again this time trying the pastries (apple turnover, raspberry twist, toffee chip scone, and banana muffin). Everything I've tried so far has been great! I'm already thinking of picking up thanksgiving desserts here as well! read more

Awful customer service. Just went there to get a coffee. There appeared to be two lines, instead of informing me there was only one line, the girl looked at me and turned to help the other line, after I stood in the 1st line for over 10 minutes while she helped the customer in front of me. read more

This place has the best apple pie! That's the reason I go every year, and I tell everyone that their pie is the best! I also love when they have live music. I miss the multi-flavored honey sticks. Maybe I just get there late in the season, but I never see them--just plain clover, which is yummy, but I miss the other flavors. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR APPLE PICKING. What a disappointment! My husband and I love fall. It's our favorite season. Apple and pumpkin picking, cider, chili, and of course pumpkin EVERYTHING. We traveled out to this orchard after seeing the great reviews, but couldn't have more disappointed. $20 for a small bag of apples? Not ok when the apples are 20ft from the parking lot. Oh and there's a hay ride. But you pay $2 per person to ride in a circle around the orchard. (Including $2 for my 8 month old- what??) Don't waste your time. read more

What a great local farm. They have every fall craving covered. Apple picking, pumpkins, cider, fresh baked goods... mmm.. pie. This time of the year... if you have never had one, get to Phantom Farms and pick up a Fruit of the Woods Pie... Im not a pie guy, but this thing is delicious. Its got apples, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and rhubarb... it is the perfect blend of sweet, tart, flakey, tangy, moist deliciousness. Do yourself a favor and check it out.. and buy this pie. read more

What a great place! Beautiful plants, a great orchard filled with apple trees, I can't wait for fall! Lots of goodies in the shop, breads, chocolates, pastries, cheeses, jewelry, bath products and more. The chocolate chip cookies are incredible, good coffee too. This place is really firing on all cylinders. It's the sort of country store every town should have. Pretty to look at, it sells vegetables in summer and fall, PYO apples, Christmas trees in winter. Inside they have a really nice pastry case, flavored coffees, a cheese case, wine by the bottle from the winery across the street. Whole pies, coffee cakes, local butter and eggs. My favorite thing is the 5 lb bag of peeled/cored/sliced apples so you can make pie or apple crisp in a flash. A handful of tables, an outdoor patio in warm weather. A small but nice selection of jams and other local foodstuffs as well as gifty/crafty items. Love this place. read more

Coffee is great, so are the other treats and the veggies were amazing this year (especially the corn). But the best part of all is the fudge! for every holiday my dad makes me go here and ship him some, he says its the best he has ever had (and believe me hes had it all). read more

We stopped in just for some honey, but left with sooo much more! HOT apple and blueberry pies, cranberry orange bread, a cannoli (I can't spell it and spell check is not helping me!), an eclair, 2 flavored coffees, and we did order a cinnamon twist but didn't get it. Everything was very good and fresh! A little pricey though. read more

I love this local place. It's right down the road from us. They have great coffee, pastries, pies, and we even bought our Christmas tree there. My favorite is the apple coffee cake. So good! I look forward to next fall so we can go apple picking there since we moved after prime picking was over. read more

Great place to bring any family. A smaller farm for RI but great pumpkins, apple picking and the bakery is fabulous! Pies, muffins, coffee and french meat pies all are fabulous! They also has a very cute little gift store with handmade crafts and a nice sitting area/greenhouse room to relax and enjoy your coffee. I cannot wait to check this place out in the Summer. read more

Adorable place to stop for a coffee or snack. They have pumpkins and fall harvest stuff and other seasonal stuff year round. It is part nursery, part coffee shop/ bakery, part gift shop, etc. I like to stop in when I have 30 minutes to spend in between other appointments. I think their carrot bran muffins are good and I also like their biscotti. My son loves their cookies and cupcakes. Something for everyone - even gluten free stuff. read more

Great great place! Small hometown feel. Muffins are DELICIOUS! Best first thing in the morning. Had a chai latte, one of the best I have ever had. Can't wait to go for apple picking season and in the pumpkin patch! Everything looked fresh and tasty. Planning another trip there already! read more

Great atmosphere. Great selection of apples to pick. A bit overpriced for a tiny bag compared to other orchards. I will go back with my kids to see the animals and have a snack! We will continue to Apple pick at our usual orchard! read more

My favorite place to go when I have extra time. Just walking around with a coffee on a summer or fall afternoon is the best. (In the summer the chickens wander around with you while you shop!) Wonderful local business with great food, pastries and coffee. Get most of my plants here for spring summer and fall too. Good prices although it can get very busy here during peak times (Sunday mornings, Sat. afternoons etc) Get here soon if you haven't been! read more

I read the apple farm review and felt compelled to respond. Phantom Farms is so much more than an apple farm. I go to Phantom Farms regularly for coffee and a scone. It is a place to visit friends where you always receive a warm welcome and feel at home. Regardless of the season there is always something to do or a treasure to find at Phantom Farms. At the holidays we bring home their pies which are always part of our holidays. Their flowers in the spring and wreaths in the winter are always wonderful. If you are looking for a book you can find one from local authors and if you need a present you can find a selection of unique gifts. The service is always outstanding, If you visit RI you should make this a stop on your trip. read more

Would not recommend....what a difference from when I brought my kids. Time to bring grand kids now and its a big rip off. You cant pick apples and then have them weighed....its a per person fee. So I came with 3 adult and two very small kids (2 and 5) and was forced to purchase a bag which admitted 6 people. This cost 35 dollars...really? I don't need 35 dollars worth of apples.(a bushel) I was bringing them for the whole experience. No hay rides, everything roped off, no more playground or maze. Only one type of apple to pick . Big rip off, I'll be be going elsewhere in the future !!! Thanks for turning a family day into a for profit ONLY day ! read more

They have great selection of teas, freshly brewed coffee and awesome muffins. Their coffee does not have fake syrups or fake flavors. The staff are friendly. In the summer, they have a nice outdoor seating area. They also sell other baked goods like biscottis, coffee cake, other pastries, cookies, etc. It's better than the traditional coffee chains. read more

They always have fresh muffins and great tasting coffee. Their coffee doesn't taste like it's got chemicals added to it and it doesn't have the burning or bitter taste as some cheaper coffees do. It's a nice place to sit in the quiet outside and enjoy the morning. They just need to modernize the appearance of the store inside a bit, so that it doesn't look like everything you touch will fall apart. read more

Good coffee and delicious brownies, congo bars and cannoli's. We usually visit to sit inside and enjoy a treat. The service is always good and it's cozy year round (there's a little patio area for when it's nice). I'm looking forward to an excuse to purchase one of their pre-prepped apple crisps that you just take home and bake. Also, I've found the veggies they sell in the summer to be very reasonably priced. read more

The help in the bakery need customer service training. When I was close to the front of the line, the counter attendant, a young girl, yelled, "Can I help the next person in line?" I checked to make sure the person in front of me had been waited on and this seemed to upset her. She kept calling me, "Ma'am" in a very harsh tone and trying to rush my order. "Is that all?" I was there because I had heard about the pumpkin mousse rolls, which I ordered. The baked goods looked very nice and I might have gotten more items if I didn't feel so rushed. The filling in the pumpkin roll was clumpy. read more

We ended our visit with a visit to the cows and milking barn. We were too early to see the milking process but we did walk the little trail where kids can participate in a scavenger hunt. Get supplies in the tractor mailbox at the beginning if the path. A few heifers are penned up outside the milking barn and several more were standing in front of a huge fan at the back. At 90° even the cows want a fan! There's a good amount of parking in front of and to the left of the market. Handicap spots are right by the market door. Two porta-potty right next to the parking lot.

Today I ordered a specialty latte off their menu called the Rhody Coast. It was supposed to be blue and caramel brown sugar flavored. It was a weird gray color and tastes like chemical sweetener, while being almost entirely milk. Im perfectly fine waiting for a GOOD coffee but this wasn't it. After seeing others get the same drink in the correct blue color getting mine was incredibly disappointing. If youre going to offer a specialty latte and charge almost $8 for it you should be constant in the quality. Never again.

I ordered a chai tea instead and the water was so hot I had to order ice. I was with a little kid who also got a chai and disappointed they didn't offer that to him and instead gave me what I consider scalding hot water in a cup with a tea bag. Staff was friendly. I went to Unlikely Story in Plainville and got a chai latte made from real tea with almond milk under $6 last week. So again the prices at this Bakery are premium. I am willing to pay for premium if that is what I am getting and while the first time I got a latte it was tasty but I still am disappointed at the price point. The second time I went I sat at the bar in front of the espresso machine and was grossed out at how dusty the top of the machine is... because they have their to-stay mugs upside down on top of it. There was a layer of dust and there were dust bunnies hanging off it in my direction. There was a bit of dried splattered milk on it too. Basically, they need to clean that and it was not the type of dust that was just there for a week. Got a scone that I wasn't sure was either day old or overcooked either way I needed a sip of tea to get it down and I did not finish it because it just wasn't that great. Pretty sure the scone was over $5. While I want so badly to support a small business like theirs I don't think I will be back until I know they clean the machine more frequently.

It was different and nice. Cupcakes- I ordered a lemonade cupcake and peach amaretto cupcake, just on a whim to taste their cakes. They use a heavy frosting that I didn't love and the cake was dry. It was the end of the day, so perhaps they had been sitting out all day but for a first time buyer, that's not good. I love cupcakes and have pretty high standards and I will not be ordering cupcakes from Dyane's. Candy - if you are looking for a place to get original homemade treats for an Easter Basket. Come to Dyane's. They have so many cute options and relevantly affordable. I even saw bunny cookies in a stick. So cute. Staff- the staff here is wonderful. Very personable and friendly. They asked if it was first time, they recommended favorites and they made the experience a pleasant one. That is actually why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 3.

She said while rolling her eyes at me they will be changing the label soon to include eggs. Strange. Then she said the Biscoitos had butter in them even though the label said margarine. Then she said no it's margarine. So I asked if the cornbread had margarine in it instead of butter. She rolled her eyes and said she would ask in the back. When she came back said it was yellow butter. I asked if that was margarine. She said she only sells the bread but doesn't know what's in them. I have dealt with language barriers but not only was the information unclear, non consistent, but the eye rolling and rushed non answers were unacceptable. I won't be spending my money here.

For a new venture, Macari decided to open his own brewery with Neveu, another former Hasbro employee. The partners acquired and completely renovated the circa 1872 Berkeley Mill boiler room building to house the brewery. They named it "Phantom Farms" after the Macari family's local apple orchard and bakery just down the road. Oscar Garrido and Andrea Riera, a husband-and-wife team from Chile, were hired as the head brewers. Since opening, Phantom Farms has become known for its farm-to-pint operation, its close connection to its namesake orchard, a historic taproom, and award-winning lagers. I recently visited Phantom Farms Brewing while I was in town for the day. I was scheduled to meet up with some other beer bloggers. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the restored historic building was. There was plenty of space upstairs and downstairs, indoors and outdoors, and the brewery is also family-friendly. After exploring all of the various rooms, I looked over the draught menu. There was an eclectic mix of beer styles as well as hard cider crafted with apples from the Phantom Farms Orchard. Between mingling with the other bloggers and playing some games of Biñho, I enjoyed pours of "Half Dark" (Czech Amber Lager), "Elegant Viking" (New England IPA), "Alternate Continuum" (Barrel-Aged Saison), and "Hypernova" (Barleywine). A very cool place, it's nice to see the older folks meeting there for coffee in the mornings. We have good friends who live in S. Boston and love their strawberry rhubarb pies and we pick one up for them every time we visit or they come here. It's great that they also sell them frozen with the instructions to bake yourself which is nice. Staff is always friendly and they have very good coffee and pastries. read more

Love phantom farms. The apple picking and hay rides are fun for kids. They sell apples -- chopped and peeled -- that they keep frozen, which is really convenient for making pies.
