Sadly, I will not be coming back to this place. I came to do my nails (French tip) with Lisa. Barely a week in my tips were turning brown, and the paint was cracking! I had to wear it like this to the event I was going to And TO My job. The last time I addressed this problem Christina said it was the heat from flat ironing my hair. This time it's my fault bc of "chemicals I'm using". (No I did not use any heat or hair dye in my hair and I don't tan!) when I texted Christina how can I fix it she said come in and so I did. When I got there I can tell the atmosphere was different. They were asking if I dyed my hair, did I go tanning, and I told them again NO. they kept talking in between questions in their native tongue I started getting uncomfortable at that point. It was easy to schedule an appointment with Nailaland, just give them a call and book. The removal fee was $15, and the cost of a new set varied from $70-90+, depending on the chosen design. Chloe, my nail technician, was very patient during the removal process despite the big jewels flying everywhere as she was filing it off. After showing her a photo of the new design I wanted, she skillfully delivered a pretty finished product that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, one of the butterfly wings broke after I got home, but Chloe was able to schedule a free fix after I contacted her. The salon accepts Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal as payment methods. I highly recommend coming here for quality Japanese nails.

I answered some automated questions about the service I was interested in (nail art), dates I was available for an appt., who I'd like to make an appt. with (I chose Janice bc she had more reviews), and uploaded photos of inspo nails. I was messaged back in a timely matter to confirm the appt. I also inquired about the price (included a photo of the nails i wanted) to know what to expect with nail art. I was quoted $70-$75 (without extensions). Fast forward to my 11am appt. a few days after our interaction.. I arrive 10 min early, but the shop is completely closed. The sign says they are open at 10am, so I'm confused, like maybe I'm at the wrong place or?? I call, a girl apologizes saying someone should be there shortly. Ok, not a huge deal. I thought I would be getting my nails done by Janice, since that's who I chose in my appt. request, but Yumi was the one who opened up the shop and ended up doing my nails. She was really sweet and easy to talk to. For my nails, I wanted the design from the photo, but without the accent nail. I wasn't completely satisfied with my nails bc I feel like it wasn't as precise as in my inspo photo, but it was decent enough. When I went to pay she told me my total was $89, which caught me off guard bc according to our messages, I was quoted $70-$75, which when I told her, she said "I said it would be AROUND $70-$75." Why give a price range and not honor it? $14 is a big difference. Anyway, I'm not one to cause a scene so I paid, tipped, and left feeling like I was taken advantage of. 5 days after getting my nails done, the gel has already started lifting/ peeling. I usually go to Kate or Nikki, but I've also had my nails done by Betty and Amy as well. You can tell that everyone here is very thorough and don't rush and my sets last for a long time and personally, I've never experienced any nails breaking or have been dissatisfied with the service or results. I also love that I don't feel pressured for a certain service or style like I have at other salons and they've even recommended certain colors or add-ons to enhance the vision I'm going for - whether it be a slightly different color to prevent fading or a color that might pop better against my skin. I'm not usually a design girly but here I feel like I can trust Kate and Nikki to try something different that maybe I don't have a specific vision for. I'm not one for super long nails either but the short almond suits my nail beds really well and because of how the staff does my nails, I feel like it isn't bothersome until I need to get a new set. The aesthetic of the salon is super clean and bright, making it feel relaxing and luxurious at the same time. After 25 mins of waiting, the front desk lady gave me a bowl to start soaking my hands and she said "they're coming soon."
