First I want to thank my neighbor for recommending this place because we have never had a bad meal from these folks and I don't expect to. Not only is the pizza outstanding so are the steak sandwiches and the fries are perfect. I like my fries a little crispy so when I ask for extra well done, they understand the assignment and get it right every time. They are super friendly on the phone and in person. I usually pick up our order on the way home because it's our Friday night go to after work. I've ordered delivery from Phil & Leon's Old Haven Style Pizza twice and both times I loved my plain cheese pizza. They pile the cheese on so when you go to take a slice, the cheese pulls and it looks like a freaking commercial everytime. This time our cheese pizza was amazing as always but the wings we ordered were soggy and cold and very unappetizing. Stick to the pizza and you won't regret it. Best pizzas I have ever had since 1992 (the height of the TMNT pizza frenzy). The owner has been making pies since the 60s. He makes them old school on high heat with the one inch pie pans to give a good texture then takes away the pan half way though to sear the crust for a perfect crunch. Before I moved I got take out all the time from them the older owner phill is a bit of a grump but hell the food is stellar. I have gotten delivery from them a handful of times over the years but food always seems better when I pick it up. Last they do take credit cards but they charge a fee also believe they have a delivery fee. So bring cash and pick it up yourself plus there is a wawa right across the street so get your self a cold soda from there. Great pizza. Great cheese and tasty sauce. Old Haven pizza stands out out far ahead of the other pizza places in lower Bucks and even Philly and NYC. I've tried a lot of them and the others don't compare. Even guests from Chicago have raved about it. It's the gold standard I compare other pizzas to. The gyros, cheese steaks and buffalo chicken cheese steaks are also great. Also, Phil the founder and his son Paul are great. Too bad it's take-out only. There is no sauce on it, the sausage does not taste like meat, clearly is a frozen pizza they microwaved and tried to pass off as home made. It's the "Greek style" pan pizza, I prefer hand tossed but this pizza was very delicious. The sauce had its own zesty flavor and the cheese! I haven't eaten from Old Haven Pizza in nearly 25 years. Used to be my favorite when I lived down 13 in Andalusia, and when I moved down to Red Lion. I was in town again and decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed at all! The pizza steak I had was perfect! My wife and son had cheese steaks, and said they were great too! My husband and I went in old haven a couple weekends ago first time there it was horrible 20 bucks for crap we should have none when the phone wasn't ringing and they weren't doing,anything especially on a Sunday the pizza was burnt on the bottom and they where standing right there it was rubber it tasted like it was frozen ellios is better and that's pathetic. I like their pizza but I normally go for other food there (its as good as anywhere in the area though). If I get pizza its buffalo chicken which is very good. theres a big difference between a large and a giant so it is worth an upgrade if you want a lot. Ordered a cheese steak with sauce. Received a pizza steak which has mozzarella instead of American cheese. The slip even had cheese steak crossed out and pizza steak written on it. Also ordered large cheese whiz fries and they charge 2 dollars more for a small cup of cheese on the side that wasn't enough for all the fries. My Family and I order from here often. After tonight's experience never will I order again not only did I question before I placed my order what exactly came on the pizza and got a bunch of extras on it then I waited 55 minutes to get a plain pizza in return. The driver says can we give him the old pizza back his boss wants it? Not a problem couldn't pay me to eat that slop but unprofessional.Then I had to ask for the difference back because the 1st one was a buffalo chicken pizza, he hands me 2 dollars. I called the store and ask to talk to manager and said I've worked for many of pizza places its not a 2.00 difference for a plain pizza and buffalo chicken pizza and he tells me his small plain is 9.15 and buffalo chicken is 9.55 driver should have only gave me .45 cents back.
