But, my boss orders us food from Fenton's via Doordash to be delivered to our Oakland office from time to time. Last several times in a row, it's been pretty dang bad, (the potato chips always taste fishy!) but today (8/5/26) it was literally garbage. We had 2 egg salad sandwiches and a jalapeno burger, plus two milkshakes. The egg salad sandwiches had to be straight up tossed out. Just not edible. The egg salad was sooo watery, it was like a soup. Just dripping and running down out of the bread. Also, a HEAVY mustard taste, overpowering everything else. The burger had a piece of something (literally) translucent on it, apparently their idea of a slice of cheese? And the accompanying fries were COLD. The toasted almond milkshake was so runny it was like a flavored water. Not at all a creamy consistency, I don't even think they made it with milk, it seemed to be just a tiny bit of ice cream, some water and a lot of ice cubes (still visible in the shake). Just nasty. The other milkshake seemed ok. Of course, with the order being from DoorDash, it's near-impossible to get any real support, so it's just basically a total loss. I don't know if Fenton's just doesn't GAF, since they're always busy anyways, OR if they need to pay their employees more in order to attract the sort of person who's capable of being trained to care to do things correctly, but it's just really a bummer that such a neat, fun, old legacy business is allowing itself to disappoint customers and turn into a big mess like this. HOWEVER, I really wish they wouldn't let people bring their dogs into the store. I found a dog hair in my ice cream from one of the two dogs that went in right before I entered. I also watched a woman let her dog pee ALL OVER the floor near the entrance... and that was what I saw in just a few minutes of being there. It was disgusting!! When I left there was a puddle of dog pee inside. The owner clearly knew her dog did it but she pretended she didn't notice and left it there. I get that everyone wants to be *dog friendly* now but come ON! I didn't complain about the dog fur in my ice cream because it wasn't the fault of the employees, but my god... I beg the owner of Curbside Creamery to reconsider allowing people to bring their dogs inside. The employee who helped me was very nice, though! 5 stars for Curbside Creamery, but please oh please I don't want to find dog hair in my ice cream again!

I could spend an eternity studying each flavor, but there's limited space to queue indoors so really gotta decide on a flavor and serving style fast in order to keep the line moving. Among the flavors were some classics, fruity/floral mixes, and dessert-inspired ones too, a whole range so there's something for everyone. I got the Breakfast Brownie and it was unforgettable! It tasted creamy and delightful without being overwhelming, while the cornflakes mixed inside added a satisfying crunch to each bite. I came back a second time before a show at Crybaby, a smaller venue across the street. Grabbing a scoop here to-go has naturally become part of my pre-concert routine at this point and I plan to come back again next time to explore more flavors. If you're ever heading to a show nearby, I'd definitely recommend stopping by beforehand for a lil energy boost and treat.

Also, whoever they have making their flavors is super creative! They list out all the flavors on the wall on super cute little ice cream scoop cut outs for you to browse while you wait in line. It is definitely more of a takeout ice cream spot with not a ton of seating so you either gotta get lucky with seating, wait for a spot, or take it to go. We got the pandan strawberry and the milk & cookies + cream. Next time I stop by I really want to try out their sundae!

I don't want basic vanilla, give me some weird and strange and flavorful that will tantalize my palette and ignite my senses. Give me salty and sweet. Give me TANG. Give me these things and DONT give me gas. Bad Walters cracked the code. All flavor, real dairy, no lactose, no gas. Each week they have a different batch of flavors, so there's always something new to explore. There's like 6 flavors to choose from at once and they let me try them all before I selected my choice hehe. I tried to sample 6 flavors at Cold Stone and they took me out back and shot me, but here, nobody was mean to me. Mr. Potatohead is the flavor I landed on--brown sugar custard with peanut butter swirl and chocolate covered potato chips. The chunks of chocolate covered potato chips were lodged in the ice cream and I felt like an archaeologist excavating ancient rocks as my spoon lifted the potato chocolate chunks out of the creamy custard into my mouth. I bought a pint. The Mick Jagger was another joy, with its salty caramel and Oreo chunks. They're lucky Peaches Christ was sold out because I might've lost my mind for a peach cobbler ice cream! We have been extremely loyal customers ever since. They rotate flavors, but through many months and many visits I don't think I've ever tried a bad one. The flavors are also very fun, not your typical cookies and cream, cookie dough, etc. Although they do have a plain version sometimes. The employees are very helpful and kind letting you sample the flavors. Our absolute favorite is tinky winky- ube flavored ice cream with honey comb pieces. They also sell points to the side- take advantage. You'll want more when you're done! The ambiance and vibe of bad Walter's is perfect. Bright colors, disco ball dripping, fun sayings on the cups, the whole 9 yards. The take home pint we got has Reddit "hate" comments and their responses, it's hilarious. This ice cream store is way more of a vibe than any marketing agent could dream of. Who would've thought I wish I could be a rep for an ice cream company? Oh and they also do a stamp card when you buy pints to get a free scoop. You bring in the containers so they can recycle them. It's a win win for both sides, loves it. Best ice cream ever!!!

The dining area had maybe 10 or more tables, and the tables were very much occupied by families and group of friends. There was a TV overhead, so hanging out is encouraged. We tried the classic milk tea with boba, and a citrus fruit refresher. We enjoyed our drinks. The fruit refresher was made with real fruits and tasted fresh. You can customized the sugar level, and we probably should have asked for more than 30%, as 30% was not sweet enough. We like to try the food menu next time.
