Mike Aziz is our sales rep, he is extremely kind, patient, and cares about generating and maintaining a strong work relationship with his customers, he's been there over 25 years. My wife and I have purchased several vehicles over the years from Phillips Auto: a 2020 MBZ E-class, a 2011 Porsche Cayman, a 2014 Chevy Corvette, and a 2003 Porsche 911. We used to dread car shopping but now we are always excited Phillips Auto doesn't have junk fees, they don't hard sell you, they will advise you on ways to protect your investment (bumper to bumper warranty for example which we are glad we invested in because it saved us thousands of dollars in protecting our multiple investments with peace of mind), they don't make you sit in the office half the day to do paperwork. We always are in an out in no less than 2 hours. I have to say you might experience VIP treatment at Phillips Auto (this is a good thing) because they love their customers and they really go the extra mile, here's what I mean. Most recently Michael Alibrando helped us with a purchase (Mike Aziz was out of town). Our purchase we had a road hazard on the way home due to debris on the ground 3 other vehicles pulled over with a flat tire as well and Michael Alibrando had his assistant Harry Robertson next day hand deliver 2 brand new tires to us with a check for $100 to get the new tires installed. Side note: Car tires are considered "incidentals" which is just a fancy word for consumables that are the fiscal responsibility of the car owner and this is not the norm nor the responsibility for a car dealership to do something like this in fact it's unheard of. But that's exactly what I mean about Phillips Auto, Mike Aziz, Michael Alibrando, Harry Robertson, HUGE thank you for what you do on a regular basis day in day out in providing excellent customer service. I live in Northern CA (Bay Area) so following my online searches on cargurus.com and autolist.com I found "the" car. I called on a Tuesday morning and got a prompt response from Jerry Fontaine, the Sales Manager at Phillips Auto. Instantly we connected and he was very helpful in the steps that I needed to get the ball rolling on the sales process to purchase the Porsche 911. Jerry knew the car well and was happy that a car geek like me would be owner number two. I completed all of the necessary paperwork and Jerry was great, he would keep me in the loop on the status as the sales process via text and phone calls. Sometimes Jerry would call just to check in and talk cars. We found that we both drove mid eighties bmw's back in the day. To me, establishing that rapport with Jerry was a huge part of making the purchase easier. Once all of the paperwork was done and the bank loan approved, the next step was to set up shipping from Newport Beach to the Bay Area. Jerry put me in contact with the shipper Phillips Auto contracts with. Jerry's contact is Trystan Lago, the Coordinating Manager at Ship Your Car Safely. Trystan was great to work with, based on the car purchase, he recommended an enclosed trailer for the shipping of my new Porsche 911 and walked me through the steps to take. Trystan let me know that as soon as Jerry calls that it's a go, we'll pick up the car. The working relationship between Jerry and Trystan was seamless. On an early morning call, I received word that the car would be delivered 3-5 hours. The driver texted me while one hour away and arrived right on time. The car was unloaded and I was blown away at how good the car looked. For a 2016, the car looks more like a 2025 in showroom condition. I fired up the engine and drove the car for the first time, it was an amazing experience. I now own the dream car that had been on my radar for a many months. In summary, Jerry Fontaine was great to work with and I look forward to staying in touch to talk shop from time to time and Porsche number two when the times comes.
