Was in town for a wedding and dear husband and I were looking for a great breakfast spot ... PAD truly hit the spot! There was a little wait, but we opted to sit immediately at the counter. The bustling kitchen activity was like breakfast and a show ... and lots of good looking creations were coming out at a steady pace. I ordered the Two Two and Two - the cakes were wonderful and eggs cooked just like I ordered and the bacon thankfully was not that nasty fake smoked flavor that some places offer. Dear husband ordered the "Champagne Breakfast" - although listed as being served with a beer, he opted for juice :) The hearty hash like breakfast was flavorful, and although he feared the chipotle hollandaise sauce, and asked for it on the side, he was happily surprised and loved the flavor combination! It was the perfect addition to his meal! Service was fairly quick and everyone was friendly ... we will return for sure! read more

I'm going to give it five stars even though today they had a little fuck up, and took my food and drink while I was in the bathroom. In town for the day, and needing to pick up a quick breakfast to take to a park to meet family. We found this place and made an online order before we left home to be picked up at 9:45. We actually were running about 10 minutes behind (totally our fault), but the food was ready, and still delicious when we got to the park! Priced a hair above a typical diner, but well worth it. We sat outside on the patio, and between the umbrellas, trees, and buildings across the street, it was shaded just right. Had the eggs Benedict, okay at best, small piece of ham on large muffin, egg white runny. Hollandaise not lemony enough. My husband and I both asked for crispy, well cooked or deep fried hash browns. They have a variety of foods there. Lots to choose from, and everything is good. We had the fried cheese curds for appetizer which were awesome! They have a killer black bean burger on the menu for veggies - I'm not sure if it's vegan or not, but there's some sauce on it that looked like mayo. This is no Jersey diner, but it's still pretty awesome. I've never been here for anything but brunch. Hopefully the next time I'm in Sioux Falls, I'll be able to venture past the breakfast food fare. I've had the steel cut oatmeal and the blueberry pancakes on recent visits. I found the oatmeal a little dry for my liking, but it was still quite good. They serve it with pecans, raisins and brown sugar.. yummy. However, the blueberry pancakes were the real gem. The pancakes were loaded. I mean oozing out the corners loaded, with blueberries. The pancakes were perfectly crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. perfection. In the summer, the patio is lovely. I can't wait until the next time I'm in Sioux Falls so that I can go back to the diner! read more

Was there for late Saturday lunch, just two of us we were sat promptly. After we waited five minutes or so for a waiter to even take our drink order, she came back with them and left only to come back 10 minutes or so later to take our lunch order. After this order we don't see our waitress again, she has one other table that she keeps checking on and ignoring our table no drink refills she didn't bring our food someone else did, never asked us how it was, we didn't have silverware on the table, she completely forgot about our table and proceed to sit another table so she only had three tables including ours. When we were finished she took one plate and threw a napkin on the other even though it was still being eaten off of not even asking to take it. She brought our bill and walked away. So when we got up to leave she says to us thank you have a good day, we haven't paid yet and we are standing at the counter ready to pay, waiting for someone to help take care of us. After this last time I'm not sure if we will be back again. read more

Based on Yelp and TA reviews decided to try this place and were definitely not disappointed. Dinner was great with good, well prepared, upscale diner fare served by very friendly and helpful staff. I was immediately put off by the décor of this place. It's as if they hadn't updated their restaurant in decades. (The outside looks like a diner from the 1950's!) The place was clean, but I was expecting a more modern eatery. I had to chuckle when I saw "shakes" listed on the menu! Shakes? Really? What decade is this? The 1950's? The food choices sure looked delicious but I ordered a salad out of fear of experiencing food that tastes really good. Much to my surprise, the salad was good too. I imagine my food tastes better now than it would have in the 1950's. The service was quick and efficient. The staff was friendly, although I doubt any of them were born in the 1950's because most of their breasts were still perky and spectacular. This place was very nostalgic. Like an old diner. Yes the have milk shakes and old soda pop. But they also serve beer and wine. I liked that they had breakfast all-day. I rose late and wanted a good breakfast. That's what I got. I ordered the two-two-two. Eggs, meat, pancakes or French toast. I loved the andouille sausage it was a bit spicy and delicious. I ate it all first. The pancakes were so big I could only eat half. Eggs are eggs. What I like most was it was busy, lots of locals. Which to me says a lot. Good service and good coffee. Sitting at the counter I watched as the food come out. NO HEAT LAMPS! As soon as the food was ready a guy was delivering. Yes I would go again next time I'm in Dakota. read more

I'd refer to this as 'classy diner' fare. Service was friendly and smiling, if a touch slow. We were hungover and feeling a bit dodgy, so we didn't mind taking our time with it, though. Pancakes were tasty, bacon was perfectly done, eggs sunny side up came as ordered (but proved to be a bad choice for me personally). My worse for ware compatriot managed to down his entire meal and said everything was super. I saw several people order milkshakes that looked absolutely delicious. Maybe next time? First visit I had the regular BLT (not the Turkey Avocado listed on the menu) with fries and it was pretty good. Today I order the meatloaf with broccoli and a salad. The meatloaf is more like "hamburger steak" (it's served with brown gravy over it instead of a traditional meatloaf sauce), the broccoli was barely cooked and I sent my side salad back. The French toast was okay, lacked a lot of flavor to me. I saw they have varieties with bananas and pecans and stuff; the plain is a good background to profile the fruit on. I wish I'd ordered it with strawberries or something to kick it up a notch! Everything else was good, though! Boyfriend opted for the corn beef hash, which looked more like a potato skillet dish than a hash. It's house made, and had big chunks of beef versus the small ground pieces I'm used to seeing. But it goes great with the big chunks of potato, onions and peppers. Not too oily, either. Overall, I'll come back if I ever come back to Sioux Falls. My family and I are taking a western road trip and we stopped here for dinner. We make four and we each tried each other's dinner. The loaded chili and the meatloaf were horrible. Neither the meatloaf nor the chili had ANY flavor. However, the chicken and waffles and the turkey club was delicious. My only complaint about the chicken and waffles is that they gave maple syrup but not hot sauce. The best was the turkey club. The fries were pretty good too. I went in around 7am right when they opened prior to a work meeting. There was myself and one other costumer only in the whole restaurant. It took 25 minutes for the food to come out and it was all incredibly burnt. I sent everything back as it was not edible. I waited again almost 20 mins only to have the food come out burnt again .
