Came in to try this place for the first time. I was immediately greeted by the cashier, she wasn't nice. She gave me a lot of back and forth regarding my order. It was simple, I asked for a double smash, side of onion rings (which I asked if they had) she said yes but in a attitude way, then I asked for the lunch special combo that was $10.99, she later tells me. "I'm confused what do you want?" I had to repeat a few times. She was more focus on her personal phone than helping me get my order straight. She seemed not happy with her job. Anyways I got out order but almost forgot the drink that came with the combo, I asked for the cup and she pointed to it. Overall I believe the service played a huge part on the welcoming and understanding in this place. Food was a little salty and onion rings were mid, they were overcooked and wasn't worth the price. Not a fan, won't be back.

This place is definitely overhyped. Cheesesteak was not what I imagined. I got the pepper madness. It was OKAY. I wouldn't come back for it. They have self service kiosk which when I first went in, the lady didn't even tell me. She just greeted me and went on with whatever she was doing. I had to figure it out myself. Others that came in were also confused. My son got the smash burger and said he'd come back so maybe that's what they're better at. Fries weren't anything special. Tasted like frozen fries. I probably wouldn't come back. Maybe if my son wanted another smash burger and we were close. Never would go out my way.

This little shop is a bit under rated! The food is good and pretty fast. The only negative is the woman in the front has No personality whatsoever but that's ok! I trait enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak and smash burger tha we ordered. We couldn't finish it and brought the rest home! Will be back again!! Oh... the lunch special is totally worth it!!

I'm giving them a five based on the food. The meat was juicy, and I really liked the role they used. French fries fries were really good, they had a nice crisp to them, but we're not overdone. Two suggestions, more cheese mixed in the cheesesteak itself versus layering it on the bun, and the service when we went was very subpar. They should really work to make people feel more at home and make it a friendlier environment. I think it would make it busier.

Great smash burger. I'm so happy they opened up a smash burger place here in fife, not too far away from where I live. I got the classic with cheese added bacon smash burger and it was 5. The consistency and flavor was on point and the owner was really nice as well. I'll definitely be coming back.

Probably the closest thing to a classic Philly cheesesteak here in the Pacific Northwest. Simple and tasty. I added their new lunch special to the photos.

Onion rings were hot n delicious, philly sandwich was hot and flavorful.. service was quick..I will be back to try a smash burger

The place was empty when I walked in, except for the staff and the flies. I will not be returning.

So this one of the place I probably will not go if I have to order at a kiosk. So my question is that the only way to order food if I walk in?

    Yup.. there's two kiosks...

I did not order any of the hot food so I can't speak on that but the seasonal Apple Pie Shake was delicious. It tastes just like a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream! Super tasty. Service was good, it wasn't super super fast but fast enough for me for the evening. Definitely worth the stop for the shake.

For those who have not yet attended a pumpkin patch alone at my age: it's awkward. I don't recommend it. After one quick lap around the pumpkins, rides, and awkward stares from overly paranoid parents, I retreated to Jake's Burgers. I think there were a couple of people in front of me in line, but, it didn't take long to order. I ordered the Jack burger, and it came out in just a few minutes. The Jack burger at Jake's comes with American cheese and bacon-- it's named for a person named Jack, not the cheese. A little confusing, but the burger was great. A lot of traditional smashburger places don't do enough produce, but they did. I loved that the burger was topped with a generous amount of lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and mustard. The burger itself was a true smashburger, with caramelized meat, and the cheese nearly melted into it. The basic brioche bun tasted very fresh. The bacon was great, too. Best of all, it was under eight bucks. The menu was small, and the flavor didn't stand out as anything different or special, but it was like a higher quality version of a Wendy's burger. They did also offer shakes and sides, but I was just there for the burger. For someone who loves basic, classic smashburgers, this place is great.

Recently stopped in here for a date night with the wife…read more We've been looking for a decent replacement ever since Tacoma lost the Rhein Haus. Since my wife is of German heritage, brats and kraut are a thing in our life. The menu here looked really good, so we stopped in our 29th anniversary. I will say, there is a parking lot across the street. For those who've been in the area for a while and remember past times, it used to be a used car lot Luckily I found an empty spot on the street right out front, so I grabbed it. But yeah, parking in this area can be tricky. Just be aware that there is the lot across the street on Puyallup Avenue, the entrance is from "Court A", which looks like an alley but is technically a road. Tacoma is fun like that. So let's talk food. We ordered the Brätzel, because my wife loves a good soft pretzel with some beer cheese. This one states that it's a beer cheese soup, and it was a bit thinner than a typical beer cheese. But it had a really good flavor. It was not gritty at all like some beer cheese can be (I'm looking at you Hops&Drops). I'm not a huge pretzel fan, but I will say that I tried a portion of it and enjoyed this one. The pretzel had a good flavor and the beer cheese soup was great. We also split the Landjäger / Käse Platte. Let's get one thing clear, this thing is bigger than it looks on the menu. There's a lot here. I'm really not sure exactly which of the four cheese were which. If you go by the description on the Käse Platte then it should be Bavaria Bleu Crème, Raclette, Emmentaler and Butterkäse. The Bleu Crème is easy to spot. The rest look similar really. But each had a unique flavor and all tasted absolutely wonderful. The cured beef and pork sausages were good, but the cheese stole the show here. We also shared the Berliner Platte for a main. Again, I can not stress this enough, there is A LOT of food here. the two of us had no chance of eating all this. This plate comes with the following sausages; Berliner Bratwurst, Smoked Cheese, Spicy Cheese, Chicken Andouille & Bockwurst as well as being served with sauerkraut and you get to pick two sides. We chose the Spätzle and Pommes (fries). All of this was amazing. The spicy sausage and the andouille were too spicy for my wife, but we knew that going in. If you have a group and are wanting to sample the many wursts here, I would highly recommend this plate. Now, let's talk service. I don't remember our server's name, but she was so great. Very friendly, very tentative, very good at her job. This was exactly the kind of service I look for when I go out to a restaurant. I don't want some tablet where I'm interacting with a faceless machine, I don't want a kiosk, I want a real person who engages with us and helps make our experience the best it can be, and this place gets it. The staff here is on point, they are good, they take good care of you and the experience made s want to come back. This place is for sure at the top of our list for German food here in Tacoma. If you have not been, you need to stop by. It's not big, it's not fancy, you'll drive right by it if you aren't paying attention. But this place is by far the perfect replacement for our missing sausage haus. We are so glad we stopped in.

As we arrived, we weren't sure if needed to seat ourselves but by the time we were about to look at a sign, a kind waitress let us know that we can seat ourselves anywhere and brought us menus. I saw that they had tables with fires which was really cool but unfortunately there were a lot of people sitting there so we just sat at the longer tables. The interior of this place is huge and bright! They have plenty of seating inside and it looks like they do outdoor seating which is dog friendly. We were told that they will have days where they have musicians playing German music and that it attracts quite a large crowd. Our waitress Sara was hilarious, personable and did a great job of taking care of us. She really made the visit all the more memorable and fun! We did order a lot: Berliner Platter with chips and spatzle, Berliner Sliders with fries and a bratzel. We did not realize just how huge the portions were for everything, like the platter was going to be big but we weren't expecting the amount of food for other order. Everything tasted absolutely amazing though! We really enjoyed everything and they do not mess around with flavors cause you taste exactly what they advertised. The house made chips were also fantastic and probably some of the best I've ever had. My boyfriend and I are excited to return and definitely will be sharing this spot to others as we thought we had to drive to Leavenworth for good German food but it is closer to home than we thought!
