Businesses remain open during the event and offer specials such as discounts and free samplings of their products. Lots of free private and street parking. People walk up and down the boulevard browsing stores, avail of samples and discounts, buy food and desserts from the trucks, etc. They come in groups, either with family members or circle of friends. A lot of people also bring their dogs along with them for a good walk.
