Philly on the Block in Burbank might be my newest obsession -- and while the food is delicious, the customer service is truly what sets this place apart. Absolutely phenomenal service from start to finish. We ordered the OTB Philly Cheesesteak, OTB Fries, and the breakfast burrito. I'm going to be very honest about the food while still standing firm on my 5-star rating. Let's start with the fries because WOW. The OTB fries were out of this world. Perfectly crispy shoestring-style fries (a little thicker than your typical shoestring), and somehow they stayed incredibly crunchy even with steak and sauces piled on top. The combination of the sauces, the meat, and that crunch was unreal. If you love crispy fries, this is a must-order. Our second favorite was the OTB Philly Cheesesteak. The meat was phenomenal -- so flavorful and well-seasoned. The sesame bread was fantastic, and the entire sandwich just worked beautifully together. I really, really enjoyed this one. The breakfast burrito was also very good. My only feedback is that it could use a dairy-based sauce of some kind -- maybe an aioli, chipotle sauce, or avocado crema -- to bring everything together a bit more. I also think next time I'd add crispy tater tots for more texture. Most of the cheese and flavor was concentrated toward the ends of the burrito, and I would've loved that evenly distributed throughout. Still, it was a solid, satisfying burrito. Overall, the food is delicious, the fries are elite, the Philly is fantastic, and the customer service alone makes this place worth coming back to again and again. Easy 5 out of 5. read more

I saw some pics with seeded bread but mine didn't seem to have any. Would LOVE to get heavy seeded bread next time. I was weary when I saw them add some sauces on but they were homemade & only enhanced the steaks even more! ive had cheesesteaks from philly/bay area/ socal and this is a very good cheesesteak. have only tried the OTB, a lil pricy but worth a try and dont think it would disappoint. only thing i would add is more peppers bc i need a little more kick in flavor but thats a personal preference. the guys are friendly. its out of my way about 30 minutes but if ever in area i would definitely stop by to support. wish you guys travel to different cities to spread the love . keep up the good work. read more
