Here's the scoop on Phil's. Go there for a clean, enjoyable atmosphere. Big portions. At least 16 flavors. Very tasty ice cream. It was a meal in a cone. Ask about Phil!

They have several outside tables which provide a beautiful cafe like ambiance. Their homemade pecan pie is absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, their ice cream is nothing special. They sell Hershey's brand ice cream.

My kids loved this ice cream shop. We stopped there two days in a row for their delicious ice cream. My kids had fun playing with the dogs there. The owner is super friendly.

Wonderful ice cream shop in a prime location! The staff is super friendly and offer such a welcoming atmosphere. The choices of flavors is plentiful and the prices are fair. I was recommended the Graham Central Station by the owner herself and it was a great suggestion!

The owners are the nicest people. Love the ice creams and treats. Even soups in colder months. They even have gluten free and dairy free options.

$5.50 for a single scoop in a weak waffle cone the breaks easily. Not a great selection of flavors.

Luckily, we were able to be seated immediately but it was very close quarters with surrounding tables. The menu is vast with different dessert options. If you want to know what cakes are available, you should check out the display stand right when you enter. Since we were there 2.5 hours before closing, there didn't seem to be a lot of cake options available, but my husband and I decided to share a slice of the s'mores cake with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream to make it à la mode. The s'mores cake was a chocolate cake with mini marshmallows, chocolate fudge, graham crackers, and more marshmallows. The cake was good and had everything I could ever want in it, but it was a little dry. I think this also had to do with it being the end of the night. The ice cream complemented the flavor well. It would have been better with a second scoop of ice cream though. Service was great! It took about 10 minutes from when we ordered to get our dessert. I would probably come back here again, but not so late at night so there would be fresher cake with more options available.

We waited about 5 to 10 minutes to be acknowledged while two employees stood nearby. The two layer chocolate caramel pecan cake, which our waitress initially could not find, was dry and tasted stale. I would not order it again. The Tollhouse pie was a bit better, but the presentation and the whipped cream were the standouts, and the whipped cream wasn't even homemade! That's the best thing I could say about our experience. The food, pricing, service, and ambiance all fell below average. When you are located downtown with so many great dessert options around, you really need to step up your game. We will not be returning.

Before I tried anything, I learned that they source ingredients locally including the strawberries and cream from local farms. I was also really pleased to learn that they minimized added sugars which is another big win in my book. On to the product itself -- I tried both the Banana Pudding and Strawberry Cheesecake bars. They were fantastic. Truly they tasted fresh and had just the right amount of sweetness. I greatly thank the Wich Cream team for coming out to our neighborhood. From the feedback I heard, everyone who tried their ice cream was a fan.

So let me preface this by saying I am not a fan of traditional ice cream sandwiches but these ice…read morecream sandwiches are awesome because they are unique. They are handmade in North Charleston and sold at several restaurants around the low country. The first time I ever tried one was from a food cart at the Charleston farmers market and I've been hooked ever since! They have different seasonal flavors because all of their ingredients are locally sourced from the milk to the berries. My favorite I have ever tried is their strawberry though a tried and true is the chocolate, it is so creamy! The texture of the sandwiches are unique and what keeps bringing me back over and over. The sandwich part is almost a little gritty but still soft and chewy, almost as if it were made from almond meal though it is not. This past sandwich I got was blueberry Cheri and though good it was not as flavorful as others I've had. I could see where they were going by adding chamomile but it just wasn't enough. I would recommend a different flavor to try, though if they were to have the sandwich part lemon flavored with blueberry ice cream it would be amazing! Overall if you see a restaurant or shop selling these pick one up. Though they are a bit pricy at $4-5 they are totally worth it!
