We asked for over hard eggs and they came out crispy. The ham was almost as thick as the bread. The ambiance was a little ruined for us when we were sat right next to another table just a foot away from us. That's ok if it was crowded but there were plenty of open tables and staff. The service was good. The food came out fast. Just not quite what we like.

We started with a traditional margarita, a mango margarita, and a few mocktails, all of which were excellent. For appetizers, we shared the shrimp cocktail, fresh guacamole, and chicken flatbread. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and a great way to begin the meal. For our entrées, I ordered the cedar-planked salmon with miso soy glaze, and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked and practically melted in my mouth. My partner enjoyed the same dish and loved it as well. My youngest daughter ordered the New York strip steak with mashed potatoes, her boyfriend chose the ribeye steak with French fries (they definitely have expensive taste!), and my other daughter had the grilled rainbow trout. Every dish was beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. The red wine paired perfectly with our meal, and the staff graciously allowed us to bring a birthday cake, which made the celebration even more memorable. Between the exceptional food, beautiful atmosphere, great drinks, and attentive service, it was the perfect birthday celebration. I highly recommend Roaring Fork for a special occasion or a relaxing Sunday meal with family and friends.

The jalapeño gravy was tasty but we needed a lot more of it to make up for the dry biscuit. 3. It was so fishy and as I picked it apart,I could see it was the blood vein piece. I could not eat it. My teenager is a vacuum and ate it. I then finished our 10 year olds left over eggs breakfast. The green beans under the fish were cooked well. I thought at least I can eat the green beans. Then I took another bite and noticed the SALT. I love my salt. I'm known to salt everything but these were just so so salty I couldn't enjoy them. I did eat them because I was hungry (and later my son's leftover egg dish). The other patios all had a wait. The server was sweet and the food came out fast.

the burgers here are better than anything I can honestly remember ever eating in my life... favorite place used to be Top Notch, and they are amazing; but this place blows anything else away burger wise... chili dog was also deeeeelishhhh!!!! (please note the exclamation points for emphasis). the bread must be made locally... it's sooooo good!!! this is my new "go-to" restaurant whenever my girlfriend asks "what are you in the mood for hunnybunny?" Very pleased with the service and the product yesterday. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday which is awesome in my book. My kids could play on the playground without being bombarded, and the other parents were really great about closely monitoring their kids as well. You get a lot of food for what you pay for. I had the Violet Crown and it's an all around decent burger, and my kids are fans of the meat and cheese only mini burgers. We love this place! read more

The tables were dirty and greasy, the bench seats had crumbs in their crevices, there were flies everywhere, and the Hispanic guy taking the food orders was hocking loogies in the main eating area and then spitting them into the trash can twice as I tried to eat my food. The Violet crown burger came quickly after we ordered and was obviously very fresh and hot. Great that you can refill your drink and the staff was attentive. Stopped in while visiting my wife before deployment. Sliders were delicious, drink choices were good. Associates were friendly and the best part is the playground for the kids right outside. You can eat at the tables provided outside while the kids play! Highly recommend. read more

The tables were completely dirty (despite counter lady having all the time in the world to clean), the floor was filthy and the chairs were wobbly, like we might fall wobbly. There is no rhyme or reason to the dining setup. The bathroom was bad, real bad, also mentioned in many reviews, but obviously no one cares or reads reviews. We were waiting a long time and it was not busy at all. Other patrons were making comments about how long it was taking. You'll see other reviews that also mention absurd wait times, cooks must be in the back smoking. Finally she drops only the to go order. It had been 30 minutes at this point, 30 minutes at a burger joint where each customer should only take 3 minutes to cook for. Even if the entire place was filled to capacity one blind cook with a missing arm could get food out faster. At this point about 8 more people had come in and the lady at the counter said oh we can make you one when I went up to make sure I wasn't double charged, but hard no. I just waited 30 minutes for 1 hamburger, I couldn't imagine waiting in line behind 8 people, Id still be there and Raganarok would be happening outside. I can tell they do not read or take reviews serious as some of these same issues are over a month old. For anyone looking to open a restaurant in a decent part of austin this space will be available soon.

Fifty years later, Top Notch opened their second location in the middle of Hutto, Texas. I've been to the Hutto Top Notch location three times now. Once to try, once because of its convenience during an event, and once for lunch with co-workers. Each time, I've left with the same impression: it's alright, alright, alright. That's what the quote was. I remember now. I've only had their burgers. Twice, their cheeseburger, and yesterday, the Top Pick Burger. All things considered, it's a decent burger. There is nothing obscene or wrong with the burger. It's just a burger. The Top Pick Burger seems like it could be fun and special, but it's really just a worse burger compared to their cheeseburger. It's not bad, but I didn't find it a better replacement for a cheeseburger. Their menu has a lot more options than just their charcoal-broiled hamburgers. They have fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, seafood combos, and their Top Dog sandwich. Two hot dogs in a sandwich. Something I'd whip together if I was seeing stars off Benadryl.
