Pizza was really expensive....fees have become burdensome for us and duplicative...just adding 10 percent to the whole bill forces us to split off food cost from delivery fee from service fee from fee for card use "convenience" and from tax even though it is arguably more convenient to use a valid card to pay for service and fee combined. Everyone in the process has their hand out and the cost of a delivered meal for three adults has become prohibitive. Pasta, pizza or other ordinary food is NOT so expensive as to be pondered.... read more

Finally ordered pizza and it was amazing. We ordered a stuffed sausage uncut with garlic butter. The crust was crispy with a great hint of garlic butter and the flavors were great. The big star of this pizza imo was the sauce - robust flavors, just chunky enough... awesome. If you haven't tried - do it. Phil - this hit the spot and I'm going to def order again. read more

Should remove the word fresh from their ingredients menu. Spinach on my pizza was obviously frozen or canned and had an odd taste. Also arrived cold. I've added photos for your viewing pleasure. Their thin crust is excellent, its debatable how crispy it is. I've had it once so far and it had a chew to it, but I was pleasantly surprised with it and look forward to ordering it again. Their pan pizza was heavy with a ton of cheese on top. Between the two styles the thin crust is the winner for me. We ordered the Bacaroni which was composed of bacon, pepperoni, onions and a special sauce. The sauce was so tasty and tangy my buddy thought it had to be jam of some kind, jam! heck no. It's a marinara sauce for sure, just unsure what's in that sauce that made it tasty. Sauteed onions add a bit of sweetness to sauces, could it be that? who knows, its good stuff. The exterior of the restaurant needs a washing, it's just an all glass store front which looks darkened at night. Standing up close looking in is when you feel welcome. Inside the appearance is like your seated in the middle of a courtyard. Pillars against the walls and a hanging flowered terrace over the waitstaff area. With the way that the heating vents are setup nearly every inch of the restaurant is warm at all times, great for this winter since it's been so terribly cold. The mood of the room is welcoming and the staff was cool, collected and knew the menu. Many of the other customers seated nearby were families having a calm Sunday dinner. BYOB and there is a liquor store across the street. Pizza pricing is moderate and in that I mean we ordered two pies one specialty thin and one pan with two sodas came out around $30 before tip. We got more than enough food with ample leftovers. I tend not to give five stars to many places, but their thin crust has won me over. read more

I tried their new, "Bruschetta" pizza and it was a really nice change of pace, great flavor overall and I really liked the crust and the abundant shaved parmesan. The new owners are taking great care to make sure you get the best tasting menu items with the freshest ingredients. "Yes, yesss, yessssss!!!" That is what my tastebuds were yelling out as I dug into Phil's delicious breadsticks, Bruschetta, and Hawaiian thin crust. I am seriously in love. Trust me when I say-order the Bruschetta...it's nothing fancy but boy is it gooooood! The "special sauce" on the Hawaiian pizza is very unique in a great way-sweet and a little spicy-goes perfect with the canadian bacon, pineapple, and pepperoni. On top of all the goodness on the menu, they even give you *free* yummy breadsticks! Phil's is definitely my new fav pizza on this side of town! read more

Not crazy about this pizza. I was actually looking for Papa Joe's and Siri led me here. The food was just ok. I had chicken tenders and pizza. The pizza didn't have enough of a punch to be memorable. The crust was decent but the rest was just ok. One thing I didn't get was the Spanish music blaring on the speakers. The service left much to be desired. Big Bummer! We used to drive about 30 minutes just for Phils. New Owner now and the pizza is now very salty, and the sauce is different.

This place has gotten money hungry. 1st they stopped coupons, then no free liter of pop. Jacked up the prices of the pizza $1 or more. Every once in a great while you experience a pizza unlike any other before it. That magical pizza with a flavorful sauce, plentiful high-quality cheese, and a crisp crust with a nice bite. Phil's is that one pizza you will not forget, and will have you coming back time and time again chanting "Phil's Pizza D'Oro!" Just moved into the area and figured I'd start finding my new non-chain pizza joint. When I went in to pick up my order, I mentioned that there was a lot riding on the pie, to which the guy at the counter said, "We're the best in the area, I've got no worries." Counter guy was right. Good thin crust pizza, good proportions of ingredients, slightly sweet sauce but not too much, and well done as I ordered it. We took my dad here for father's day and I was quite impressed with everything this place had to offer. The interior is very clean and welcoming, with a very spacious dining area. I really liked the look of the place, it just reminds we what a pizza joint should look like. The service was as good as it gets. A water glass was never empty and a request was never forgotten. It did seem like the owners whole family was working there, but hey that works for me. They gave us two free orders of crazy bread and were so accommodating to our rather large table. We started off with an order of calamari and bruschetta. The calamari was your basic plate of fried goodness. The dish wasn't undercooked which can happen at a lot of places and they gave us plenty of cocktail sauce and lemon. The bruschetta is another story. It was out of this world good. We had to place another order because the young ones snatched the pieces up as fast as they could. I thought there might be a brawl between grandma and Anna over the last piece, but thankfully they agreed to split it. I had my money on grandma; she's got a wicked uppercut. The thin crust pizza was just awesome. The sauce, the crispiness of the crust and the amount of toppings were perfect. We ordered the D'oro special (onion, green peppers, black olives, and mushrooms) and another pizza with sliced roast beef. Two extra large pizzas were more than enough to feed 9 people and we all left full with huge smiles on our face. My dad was even impressed which is hard to do. You pretty much have to hit him with a hammer to get him to compliment you. On a side note they had some of the best homemade hot giardiniera this tongue has ever been burned by. I've never eaten in the new location, but the deliveries are always on time (or early) based on what they tell you the wait will be when you order, and the food is always hot and fresh. I can't believe I left the house for this garbage. Spinach lazagna means frozen spinach from a bag between noodles and cheese. The pizza is soft, undercooked and more cheese than anything. When you put too much cheese on a pizza, it doesn't cook all the way through and you can't taste anything else. The salad was made a day before and kept in the fridge. I haven't updated this review in a while. I had a baked sausage panzerotti and it was great. I have had both the fried and baked and I prefer the baked version. The crust was perfect and there were just the right amount of filling. They then put a little sauce on the top before baking. This extra sauce gets a little sweet from the heat and is oh so good. It's going to be a toss up between their thin crust pizza and baked panzerotti. They are both excellent. The people are great and the place is alway very clean. We just moved into the neighborhood this past weekend and chose Phil's as our second meal. We were a party of 7 adults and 3 kids. They happily accepted our party on short notice and provided a great dining experience. The food was really good. We did the appetizer sampler and an extra order of mozzarella sticks which was perfect for our group. Everyone enjoyed the apps. We had three pizzas for dinner which everyone enjoyed. My favorite was the Margherita. Two people had soup (chicken rice maybe) which I tried and LOVED. The best part was the waiter. I think his name is Tom (super short hair and glasses). He had 5 tables will we were in, three of which were large groups, and we were honestly served as if we were the only people in the place. Everything came quickly. All requests were handled with a smile. It is BYOB wine and beer! Take advantage. We are so happy to have this little gem in the neighborhood. I can't give it a five star because pizza five stars are reserved for my absolute favorite pizza place. However, overall this place rates very high. read more

So, just moved into the neighborhood and tried this place out the day before I moved while the family and I were painting the new place. Well dang, it was pretty good! Arrived promptly and PIPING hot... but whats with the pizza bag? I'm partial to my pizza coming in a box, but its not a huge deal I guess. The Hawaiian was mighty tasty, but the chunks of ham(canadian bacon?) could have been smaller (if I can nit-pick) and the other side was good spinach, mushroom, onion & sausage.
