Peace and love, everyone!!…read more It's been a long minute since I left a review, so I'm happy to talk about a new food place! My wife and I finally ordered from Paisans Pizza in Oak Lawn, something we've been wanting to do for a long minute. As I have been working out and watching how much I eat since December, I very much look forward to having a 'big back day', as my daughter says! So the online ordering process was very easy. I ordered a medium cheese pizza, a medium sausage pizza, the Southwestern egg rolls, and finally some garlic parmesan wings. When I went to pick up the food, it took a few minutes to find a parking space as there are no spaces for pick-up orders. But when I went in there, nice ambiance with the planes, the cars, and the camper, which is where I had to pick up my order from. The place was jumping (I was there about 6pm on Saturday), and it seemed like a nice overall vibe. Ok so I pick up my order and get back to the crib! First, the pizza: both pizzas were really good. Nice amount of cheese, nice amount of sausage, for both, nice amount of sauce. Now the pizza was good,let me be clear, but on the box it says the 'best pizza in the world'. So my honest opinion is that is it better than all the other pizza places in the area (Domino's, Nonna's, etc)? YES...easily! Is Paisans better than Beggars Pizza? I say yes, my wife says no. Either way, we both agree that they have some good pizza! The garlic parmesan wings lived up to the hype. Crispy wings, nice amount of seasoning, not overpowering. As for the Southwestern egg rolls, this was the only thing I ordered where I was like 'meh'. The shell wasn't really crispy, I think it was a bit bland, and the sauce cup had opened up and spilled in its takeout box. Put it this way...Chili's Southwestern egg rolls are much better, by comparison, in terms of flavor. All in all, this was not a bad eating experience. The food was good all around, and for me, only the egg rolls could have been better. Also, the food was a little on the expensive side....so that is something to keep in mind also. So, does this mean we'll be back? Absolutely! The meat sauce on top also fell a bit flat and didn't add much flavor to the dish overall. I'd still definitely come back for the pizza because Palermo's does that incredibly well, but I'd probably skip the ravioli next time around.

Horrible customer service. I would order almost three times a week with them. Almost always the same order. I've always thought their prices where high but whatever. I placed my usual order tonight as always. The food came and I was missing an order of cheese sticks. I called them and they said I wasn't charged so I had no problem paying for them but then they wanted me to pay delivery again?!? Are you kidding me?!? I just tipped your driver 4 bucks which is what I usually do. The problem is that now they want me to pay over 8 bucks for a order of cheese sticks?!? I spoke to the owner and I explained my grip. I told him I have no problem paying for the food but I don't feel it's fair to pay delivery again, the lady got my order wrong! Not my fault. He then said I should have listened better when she repeated my order to me!! I had order two orders of cheese sticks so when she said my order I didn't realize that she didn't say two orders. Like I said no problem with paying for what I get but adding another delivery charge made the cheese sticks cost over 8 bucks?!? That's a bit much for some cheese sticks, keep in mind they are the cheap frozen kind. I know because I also own a restaurant. Anyways I proceeded to tell him that because of this he would lose my 3 times a week orders, which are almost always 40 bucks. He couldn't have cared less. Horrible Customer Service, spoke with the OWNER who was incredibly rude!!! We order from Phil's Pizza about 3 days out of the week, our order stays the same. I understand that People are not perfect, so when they forgot something on my order, I thought not a big deal. Called them back and let them know that they forgot something, the girl was rude when she said they didn't charge me for it. OK, but I still need it, it's someones meal. So, I re-order it and they want to charge me again for delivery!?!? I explain to the girl that this doesn't make sense, if they would have taken the order correctly the re-delivery wouldn't be necessary. The girl huffed and got her manager online. I re-explained the situation and the owner/manager blamed me. They are willing to lose me as a customer over a $3.00 delivery fee, that's how much they appreciate me as a customer. Seeing as how we tip their delivery guys $5-$7 dollars for driving 5 blocks, I didn't think waiving the fee was too much to ask for. I would have expected that from a chain pizza place, but not a mom and pop shop like Phil's Pizza. Never going to order from them again. read more

I've been eating here for 20 years it has changed I don't know what they done if it's different cooks or ingredients but it is not good any more service suck when I ordered they told me 45 min for delivery it took them about a hour and a half I wanted half pepperoni and half sausage I got the sausage side but the other side was just cheese it was not cooked right it was full of tomato paste and not cooked enough and it was falling apart I called back too tell them about 15 minutes after I got my pizza there was no answer then I called back the next day and they where telling me they can't do nothing about it and that they don't buy it that my pizza was messed up thanks for your bad service and attitude phils pizza I will never order your over priced slop pizza again and I will tell all of my friends that order from you guys to not order again go to obbies pizza on archer or little franks way better pizza not slop and not over priced read more

Called to make an order. Used to be my favorite place. After several attempts was told they wouldn't tale my order unless i came in and picked up so they can see my credit card they wouldn't take it over the phone. They girl who answered was nice and you can tell she didn't want to say it so she gave me to the manager Mike who flat out said nope you are considered a new customer and unless you come in we will not take your order. Well Mike doesnt that defeat the purpose of delivery. What kind of pizza delivery place wants you to bring your credit card in before ordering a pizza? read more

I've been living in Madison, WI for almost four years. I still drive the two and a half hours required to bring back some of this sweet sweet pizza. Nothing in Wisconsin even comes close! No matter where you live, make sure you have some of this! P.S. If you order a day in advance they'll freeze it for you to take home and reheat in the oven. Anything bigger than the large size will not fit in a standard oven. SO GOOD! read more

He approached my door with a pizza in his hand and a smile on his face (not to mention the exemplary delivery time) and eminated an extremely contagious enthuastic and gleeful disposition. I have ordered from phils over 100 times its the best regular crust pizza around!!!!! Also their appetizers are great. Hot wings are great with the spicy bbq sauce. Also their jalapeno poppers are the best I have ever tried!!! Their cheese sticks are good with the meat sauce. I would recommend phils to any one that loves pizza!! Every time I order from here it is different... I could order one thing one day and the same the next and it would be different. I hope that it will be good every time I order but it continues to disappoint me. I will keep trying to see if it is good. In spite of the wedge-cut slices this is definitely Chicago-style thin-crust; whole pizzas are square-cut at Cipriani's. Our slices were cooked just right and delicious. The cheese and sauce were very good. I liked the sausage; it had a slight sweetness to it. We will remember this place when we're on our way to or from Midway Airport. Counter service was very friendly and quick. We got our food and drinks immediately. Restaurant decor is minimal. There was plenty of bench seating at 2pm, but I could see this place filling up around lunchtime or dinner. They have their own parking lot in front.
