I think she found it on their tablet but couldn't explain where it was. And then another customer had the exact same problem while I was waiting. System problem? Absolutely amazing coffee as usual. Good service. Still really expensive. Good almond croissant but not great. Almost deafening in there at 9am. I was already thinking that the music was loud and the crowd was loud, and then someone turned the music up louder! I don't think I'll ever sit inside again. Although Philz is one of my favorite brands for coffee, this particular location is not good at making coffee. I've tried them before and was disappointed and this last visit was no exception. I don't think I'll be giving them another chance. My daughter and I came in for coffee and we ordered an iced Mocha Tessora and an iced Mint Mojito. My Mocha Tessora literally tasted like a cold hot chocolate without even a remote taste of actual coffee. I literally hated it. My daughter tasted it, and she said she'd trade with me so she handed me her Mint Mojito, which basically tasted like mint water just zero coffee flavor. Not sure why this location doesn't make things right? For $12 for 2 coffees we should expect to actually receive coffee and not watered down grossness. Hard pass on this location. read more

My go-to Philz location! I always order ahead on the app which is such a time saver, especially when I can place a future time in the day. I usually grab my drink on the go sometimes even after Yoga down the street. This location does get busy so I do notice some drinks sell out, not all the time but I notice it happens here more often than other locations. If they're busy parking can be a bit of a song and dance, cars coming and going. There is side parking in the residential area as a last resort. I recommend! read more

The absolute BUSIEST Philz Coffee I have ever set foot in. Since my Friday morning was dragging along ever so slowly & I was in great need of a caffeine boost, Philz was a no-brainer. I made the quick drive over and was immediately let down by the jam packed parking lot. Not a single spot was available and the sight of cars parked in forbidden areas was a clear indication that this wasn't going to be a fast visit. Lines are long on both ends [ordering & pick up] but ordering and making payment went by faster than I expected. Everything came to a halt when it came to receiving the drinks. Shout out to the baristas who were hustling so damn hard. There were continuous mobile orders coming in and there was no shortage of walk-in patrons. The beverages were coming out as quick as the staff could manage but a lot of the orders was notably messy- cups were sticky, liquid was dripping on all sides. The Honey Haze drinks were missing it's foamy top and all the mobile app purchases were undeniably watery. 3 stars because this Philz has a lot of potential. I would simply try to avoiding visits when they are swamped. Bonus points for the designated Mobile Pick Up Only parking spots. read more

If you know me, I love coffee and more specifically Philz. This location has lots of work space (relative to other ones I have visited), but the parking spots are always filled. Usually, once I loop around something opens up -- but it can be tough :/ In terms of the drinks, I absolutely love getting the iced mint mojito, iced tesora, or iced philharmonic! If it's your first time, I would recommend the tesora or philtered soul (hazelnut tones). If you're feeling adventurous & like mint, the iced mint mojito is so refreshing and good!! My winter time guilty pleasure is the iced gingersnap though... Tip: Get your drinks with oat milk (no extra charge) & extra creamy!! With 100% certainty, the iced mint mojito changed my coffee consumption world. Philz was my first handcrafted pour over coffee beverage that opened my eyes beyond Sbux. They use amazing beans, heavy cream (shake shake shake!!), muddled mint and the perfect amount of ice to get it iced cold. The first sip is amazing EVERY SINGLE TIME. EVER. #3 The stock drinks are an incredible draw for the undecided beginner, unique and not over introduced, sugar saturated drinks that give someone a stomach ache. Who doesn't love Philz. I've only ever tried their mint mojito sweet and creamy. I love it's refreshing taste. I've tried other places that mock the drink but they just don't correlate. Philz is it! Due to covid restrictions you would go in and place your order then wait outside till your name was called. Mask required. I didn't notice sanitizer after each customer. The regular is set up in the middle of the store with a plexiglass on a long stretch folding table. The only downside of this is that there wasn't a menu for me to look at. Philz is my one true love!! If I didn't have so many Starbucks gift cards and if there was an abundance of Philz shops available I'd come more frequently! I'm fond of this location because they have great customer service, a spacious parking lot, and the baristas make the drinks well. The previous time I went here, which was pre-COVID days, they gave me a free egg/avocado toast, so I'm glad they don't waste food!! Nowadays with COVID, they are obviously taking precautions and set up designated stations to order and pick-up. They ask you to wait outside and the wait was around 10 min for me. There's limited seatings outside, but you can also wait in your car. I do enjoy the care they put into making your drink! They explain their menu well and what the drink will taste like, which I appreciate. Their menu is unlike any other coffee shop, making them unique. All the employees are always very friendly and helpful and are always really knowledgeable about everything they can make you. Ambiance You never know... every Philz is very different and the employees pick the music. The guy at the front was very helpful, considering we had never been there before and explained everything without being condescending. The drinks did take a while (20 minutes) but the fact that they make them each by hand is really something. The coffee here is excellent, but the ginger is a little much and definitely needs to be sweetened which I would've liked a heads up about. I really like Philz, but hate the wait. Somehow, unlike all other Philz, these guys have actually figured out a way to keep. the line. moving! Maybe it's the separate food area, maybe it's the fact that I went somewhat earlier in the morning, maybe it's the staff who seem to treat you as a customer instead of with disdain (looking at you, SJSU Philz. I get that I am approaching 30 years old but I am not *actually* your disappointed father) but whatever it is - it works! The coffee is actually the same as every other location, just a bit speedier, but honestly that makes a world of a difference. The Cupertino Philz may be a bit nicer, and the SJSU one might be a bit more convenient, but this Campbell location is definitely my favorite. It also has a great breakfast area with various quiches and other savory products. As with all Philz, it seems to be a big hang-out-with-your-laptop out kind of place, which seems kind of wild given how *loud* this place is, but the abundance of seating in various forms and the outdoor seating seems to alleviate it a bit. The food is also great, and comes with tapatio packets if you ask (which you should). This particular coffee roast is medium-strong, notes of hazelnut, maple, and caramel, medium body leaning towards bold. Low acidity. I enjoy low acidity, it tastes like quality to me. I have tastebud trauma - every time I drink highly acidic coffee I'm reminded of "free coffee" at an event, office, waiting room, it's always highly acidic tasting with no caffeine power.
