Real nice place with a comfortable ambience. Crazy crowded with the WFH crowd. Originally, I got the milk iced coffee. It was way too strong even decaf. The worker was very kind and we made me a coconut blended drink, which was delicious. My daughters love the mango matcha. They charge $.50 versus a dollar for alternative milk, which was a nice touch.

I wanted another place that offered matcha and stumbled upon this place while searching around. I went in right around when it open Saturday morning. There was only one person running everything which I felt bad and thankfully everyone was willing to wait and was patient. They offered a variety of different matcha, coffee, and snacks. They do offer flights to taste some of their drinks at the cafe. I just ordered a matcha sugarcane drink to go. Definitely need to stir or else it would be too bitter in the first few sips. The sugar cane juice gave it the little bit of sweetness it needed.

The cafe and space has such a beautiful layout and is a great place to do work/study. I ordered the salted coffee with less sweet, which was a little bit too thick/creamy for my taste but I still enjoyed it! I also ordered the Croffle with pandan and thought it was yummy! The pandan for the Croffle was thick and super creamy :) I want to come back and try more of the menu items! :)

I love Phin, this is my go to spot for coffee and matcha. Their matcha is good quality and they add lots of it. If you're sensitive to caffeine, take precaution, their coffee is no joke. I could only drink half at a time or else I'm going into convulsions. The inside is a vibe. My go to is the salted matcha and egg coffee.

Phin Cafe is a solid cafe for meeting up with friends over yummy drinks. I've tried both their matcha and coffee, and I would say I prefer the matcha over the coffee in terms of taste. Their drinks are on the thicker side. The ambiance of the cafe is great. At 10am on a Saturday, there were still enough seats to sit with a friend or get some work done on a computer. I recommend the banana matcha. I also recommend full sweetness. Since they specialize in Vietnamese coffee/style of drinks, full sweetness will give you the best flavor. I tried less sweet on the egg cream coffee, and without sweetness, the egg cream lacked flavor. In terms of drinks, I wouldn't say they have the best Vietnamese coffee/matcha in the area, but they're pretty solid. Overall, this cafe was nice to experience! Parking can be a little bit tricky on weekends, but there's street parking right outside of the parking complex if needed. It's also located near the Pruneyard, which is lovely if you're looking to grab lunch of go shopping afterwards.

First time to visit this coffee shop. Decoration is nice and they mainly sell Vietnam style coffee. Ordered Pandan coffee and Honey Lavender coffee, ask for less sweet for both. But the honey one is still too sweet, unless you love very sweet drink. The pandan one is good. Have good environment, but I think I would like typical Vietnam style coffee more. Just average for me.

    Salted Matcha, spinach pate chaud

Phin Cafe was a fun experience. It's a popular Vietnamese cafe with a comfortable seating area. Fashionable patrons coming in and out, good people watching. I tried the salted matcha, less sweet. It had great matcha flavor. The salt added a nice mineral element to the grassiness of the matcha. The sweetness was perfect -- just enough to be palatable and enjoyable, but not too much. I accompanied it with a spinach pate chaud, a little pastry round, served hot, with great crunch, and yummy spinach Brie cheese filling. Also tried the cold egg coffee, which was Vietnamese coffee topped with egg custard. It tasted like a liquid egg tart, with satisfying coffee flavor. After sitting in the cafe for awhile, I got hit with that Southeast Asia feeling, that I experienced in Singapore. Sunny and refreshing. You know it's good when you feel the vibe!

It feels like the matcha hype in Campbell isn't slowing down anytime soon with the addition of Phin Cafe. I enjoyed my matcha latte, it wasn't overly sweetened and you could really taste the matcha. I'm sensitive to caffeine so this was strong enough to keep me up (which I wanted). I also enjoy their Pate Chaud though I find it quite overpriced. Love swinging by this place for a pick me up when I'm running errands. Drinks come out quickly and didn't seem like the matcha was pre whisked. The vibes of this place is nice, and had a great atmosphere for working, plus there are plenty of outlets and relaxing music. You almost feel a little awkward for talking since so many people are working away on their laptops.

Salted matcha latte and double matcha latte
    Dylan D.

The salted matcha latte is the main reason I keep coming back here. It's so good and I've never had anything like it. The double matcha is also good and the banana matcha is decent. It has pieces of banana in it if that's your thing rather than a banana pudding matcha. It's a nice place with lots of tables to get your work done or just hang out. I will say it takes awhile for them to make the drinks so don't expect to pop in real quick to grab a drink. I did try ordering for pickup through DoorDash once and my drink was more liquid than a blended consistency. It can be difficult to get a workers attention because they can get busy. They have a pretty decent size parking lot and I've never had trouble finding parking.

    Tea flight
    GiGi G.

If you go with 2-4 people, I recommend trying one of their three flights. This time we tried the tea flight and enjoyed them all! The flight also comes with a small sweet treat. We also tried the bahn mi as well as chicken and mushroom pate chaud. They were all fresh and tasty. Easy parking and nice atmosphere makes this a place worth checking out.

Interior is airy, comfortable seating, and calming ambiance.

What can I say? This place has completely exceeded my expectations of a Vietnamese coffee place. I love the clean, airy, modern, Asian inspired ambiance, the delicious coffees and snacks, and the welcoming, attentive service. I was so hooked after my first visit that I ended up coming back three times in a row! They have a great variety of drinks on the menu, and many of them feel like little works of art. On their menu, I've tried the Milk Iced Coffee, Coconut Coffee, Phin Experience, Rosie Dream Tea, and Peachy Orange. Their coffee is bold, rich, and pretty flavorful. I ordered everything light sweet, and it was the perfect balance. It all had just enough sweetness while still letting the depth of the coffee beans shine through. The teas were just as enjoyable. Both the Rosie Dream and Peachy Orange had bright, refreshing fruit flavors, but the Peachy Orange was definitely my favorite! I loved the taste of the peach and orange together. As for the food, the Grilled Pork Bánh Mì was delicious. The bread had the perfect crisp, the pork was savory and flavorful, and everything came together really well. Overall, this has quickly become one of my favorite places. I can definitely see myself becoming a regular. If you're in the area, this place is worth stopping by for some good, bold coffee!

Wow I really enjoyed my coffee here! The service was super nice and they were really helpful. I actually came on Monday and it was really nice coming that day it wasn't too busy, but it definitely started getting busier around 11am. It's a great place to come do some homework or get some work done. I came in to plan my week and wow the coffee was amazing! This is definitely a new go-to for me. I also love that it's so close to where I live. I'll definitely be coming back more often, especially on weekends when I need a nice spot to relax or be productive.

    Parnika N.

Phin Cafe has a massive variety of coffee options, and they absolutely did not disappoint. Plus, there's actually sufficient parking outside, which is always a major win. The service is incredibly quick, the vibe is super work-friendly, and they even have a fully functioning, in-house coffee roaster right on display. I ended up trying two different things. First was the Ube Latte. The ube flavor was incredibly forward and robust, practically overpowering the coffee itself, which I actually didn't mind. The absolute standout of the whole experience, though, was the coffee flight. The flight consisted of Milk Iced Coffee, which was incredibly strong, bold, and absolutely delicious; Crema Black Coffee, where the espresso was topped with a thick cheese cream layer. That was actually my least favorite of the group, but it was still good. The foam was a little salty, and the underlying espresso was incredibly strong and nice. The others were just so spectacular that they outshone it. The egg Coffee was incredibly custardy, rich, and creamy. It felt like drinking a delicious cold brew with a decadent, velvety custard foam. The durian Coffee absolutely blew my mind. The durian usually gets a bad reputation, so I was a little nervous to try it, but it was amazing. The durian cream paired perfectly with the coffee and didn't overpower the espresso flavor at all. Next time, I'd probably skip the standalone Ube Latte and just dive straight into the flight experience. Highly recommend checking this spot out if you want high-quality, flavorful specialty coffee.

A simple sandwich order at 9:20 is not ready until 9:45. Lesson learned, come at opening time and order all at once. Cortado & latte, 5/5. Hot, smooth, strong. Orchid acai bowl ($14, sub in mango for mulberry, add coconut dust): 5/5. so good. Palmetto superfoods is my go-to in the SJ area for acai bowls, this was better despite not as many topping options. Their bases are smoother and creamier, no ice crystals here. Also liked that the fruit was chopped smaller. BAE sandwich ($12): 4/5. good, but definitely not worth a 25 min wait. Textures, freshness were great, but it was missing salt/pepper & spices. The sauce helped, but still underwhelming given how good it looks. Recommend having salt & pepper packets & a bottle of hot sauce available to customers. Cinnamon roll ($5.75): as a cinnamon roll, 3/5. As a morning bun type thing, 4.5/5. This is a case of mistaken identity. It's got a slight crunch, light sweetness, fluffy (not dense). When I order a cinnamon roll, I'm more expecting decadent dessert-for-breakfast laden with sugar & butter, yknow? Loved their dining area, loved how beautifully presented all items were, loved how everything was served at optimal temperature (hot espresso, thoroughly warmed pastry, etc), loved the variety of menu items (I can get an acai bowl and bf can get a sandwich or pastry). Will definitely return at 9 am sharp on weekends, and not order anything after about 9:10!

We're talking ube coffee, avocado coffee, banana condensed milk coffee, plus a whole lineup of matcha drinks. Definitely more creative than your typical neighborhood coffee shop! I went with the ube coffee with almond milk. The ube base was a little too sweet for my taste, but once everything was mixed together, the overall sweetness actually balanced out pretty nicely. The espresso also packs a punch -- you get 2 shots with your coffee order, so no complaints there. ‍ The ambience is definitely a highlight. The space is super cute and spacious, and they even have this mini staircase seating area that would be perfect for hanging out with friends. It also has plenty of room for a work-from-café situation The only downside was the service, which felt a bit slow for my liking. That said, they did give customers a heads-up that half of their espresso machine was under maintenance, so I'll give them some grace on that one! Overall: 3.5/5 Giving them an extra +0.5 just for the ambience because the space is genuinely adorable. I'd definitely come back to try their pastries and açaí bowl next time!

Then as she was making the drink, she had mine sitting at the counter for a good few minutes without calling my name because she was busy chatting it up with a customer, handing him a note, talking about travel plans, etc. When I asked where my drink was and that I had been waiting for a while the other barista proceeded to say that they've just been busy. No, barista making my drink was just not serving each customer kindly and equally. I will say that walking in the space is elegant is the word I would like to use but also inviting with the little extras that they do at the table with the fresh flowers the soft chairs the colorful decor that surrounds it. Also the two individuals behind the counter that were taking orders and packaging things were just a delight. Both of them greeted us with a smile and they asked us if it was our first time to the shop and we told them yes and so they walked us through some of the more popular items and how are things were broken down and that was very much appreciated cuz there are many many options in front of you in unless you know exactly what you want you can be looking at everything for a couple of minutes before you decide on even one thing. We ended up getting a regular latte and a rose latte for our drinks. And then as a little delicious taste of something we got the chocolate croissant and the almond croissant. I am going to comment on my rose latte first that thing was beautifully made because though it was sweet but in a way that wasn't overpowering because you could still taste a little bit of the caffeine the creaminess of the milk that was used and the espresso it was like a hint in the background so a little call out there if you're someone that really wants to taste their coffee this wasn't the jam for you and that's okay my husband got the regular latte with steamed milk and I tasted his and that was like coffee in your face so you can always go for a solid twist like that. And to clarify his latte was also very good because it just tasted so fresh and of high quality. Now for the pastries. They were stupendous because they had the right amount of flakiness but softness. They also were buttery but not overly so were like major hands feel greasy it was so savory both of them which is interesting because the fillings one was chocolate one was almond I would have thought that both of them would have had an overpowering sweetness to them. We will say that we both liked the almond croissant more not that the chocolate one wasn't just as good. The almond had a little bit of a 1up because I don't know how to explain it it's almost like it had a almond crumble at the top so you bit into the pastry which was fluffy but you had the crunch on the top then you had a little bit of the almond filling and then you had the butter and like the soft but almost chewiness of the inside of the layers just stupendous all of that together was great. If we end up ever being in that area again will definitely want to go back to try the rest of the stuff they had because I want to know how everything else takes especially those beautiful cakes that were just art themselves

I am genuinely disappointed by my coffee almost every time I visit. If it's really bad to the point that I can't drink it, I'll ask for a remake, but a lot of the time I don't have the extra time to wait for them to make another one. It's incredibly frustrating because I can go to the Los Gatos, Willow Glen, or Castro Valley locations and consistently get a great coffee. It doesn't seem to matter what I order or whether it's something from the regular menu or a seasonal drink, the quality at this location just isn't there. What makes it even more frustrating is that this is the Philz location closest to my house, so I genuinely want to be able to enjoy it. I don't know if it's an issue with training, consistency, or something else, but I really hope management looks into it because something clearly isn't working. I was actually talking to a friend who used to love Philz as much as I do, and she said she doesn't enjoy it anymore either. Then we realized that whenever she gets Philz in the East Bay, it's noticeably better. I really hope this location can get back to the quality Philz is known for because I would love nothing more than to be able to regularly get good coffee from the location right by my house. I'm honestly sorry to have to leave such a negative review because I really do love Philz, but at this point, someone needs to say something. Then today was really the final straw. The coffee was so bad that neither of us could drink it, so I called the store and asked for a refund. I had just spent $15 on two cups of coffee that we were ultimately going to throw away, so I didn't think it was unreasonable to ask for a refund. Instead, I was only refunded for one of the two coffees and when I called back nobody answered.

The ambiance here was inviting and there are lots of tables and chairs where one can sit. Luckily we were able to snag a table. For food we got a latte which was very nice. We also got the ham and cheese croissant which was absolutely delicious and the guava cream cheese pastry. I got both warmed and loved it. We also got a honey butter cornbread thing with their homemade strawberry jam. This was a cool savory sweet option. Although I didn't love it, it was nice to try. Overall good experience and would go back to try other pastries!

I've been here a few times, and I honestly don't know why I haven't reviewed this place yet…read more The moment you walk into Manresa Bread, you're greeted right away. The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. Both are worth the trip.
