Best coffee in the world!!!! Philz is unmatched - their cold brews are sooo delish - I love the staple mint mojito, honey haze, rose & oatmeal cookie!

Absolutely love this location! It's super close to my job, so it's become my go-to spot. Parking is always easy (huge plus). They nail my drink right the first time, every time -but I also appreciate that they always remind me they'll remake it if I'm not happy. The space itself is big, open, and really comfortable, with plenty of outlets if you want to get work done or study. Definitely one of the best coffee spots in Dana Point! Tried their iced caramel banana brew with oat milk instead of almond milk and OOOH IM OBSESSED!!

The employee we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. We got a dark chocolate mocha that she asked how sweet we liked it. We said not too sweet. It was great! Tried the green chili burrito. It was good. A cute and upbeat place.

Welcome to Dana point PHILZ! We stoped in here finally- employees very nice, love the ambiance! Haven't been to one of these since I've lived in the Bay Area. They made be an oat milk iced latte with Stevia, and it was delicious! Will definitely come back in the future.

Staff was friendly but first off, anytime you hand me an ICED coffee in a PAPER cup, I'm suspicious of what you're trying to hide. It's nice to see what the coffee looks like not just from top view. The menu shows only top angle which leaves a lot to be imagined. The coffee was basically hot coffee with ice cubes that quickly melt. And the coffee lacked boldness to be able to handle being turned into iced coffee. Didn't see any espresso options. Also, everything on the menu states "5-460 calories" at the bottom of the menu but neglects to show accurate calories per drink. 5-460 calories is useless information when there are more than 10+ different sugary coffee options.

Wonderful staff of young hard workers. Very friendly. One worker helped me pick out a delicious honey drizzled coffee and she gave all the reasons to choose it. I really appreciate a knowledgeable staff. Coffee prices are what you would expect, about $6 a medium specialty drink. There is minimal 2 hour parking around the back. Ambience...There are desks for plugging in your tech and getting some work done. Their is also a kids style area with books and crayons in a room which is away from the front entry doors. This establishment also has outdoor seating.

This is such a bright and vibrant coffee shop with very kind staff. They only serve pour overs. I've never had an infused pour over but got cinnamon and yum! I love the art in here and the coffee was very yummy. Definitely worth a visit especially if during the farmers market, which is right across the street.

From Chicago, first time at Philz with my daughter. Here are some thoughts: -It has a smaller menu than I'm used to, but some really interesting drinks! -I ordered the Philtered soul cold brew, and it was the best (not bitter) cold brew I've ever had. -Really colorful, interesting decor. -The staff were very friendly and helpful! I'd come back!

First time at Philz. I was impressed by many things! This location is very spacious with tons of places to work. They have long tables, benches, couches. The vibe is somewhat urban and loungy and I love that. Also, they have some fantastic art as well as community boards with different businesses and events advertised. My only gripe...why is the logo orange and the umbrellas and chairs outside yellow...overall I'm very happy to have a Philz in DP!

This little coffee shop just opened. I had never been to a Philz However , it is quite different than any coffee shop. I think that you will ever go to the level of quality of coffee is absolutely outstanding. The service was good . The complicated way you order your coffee is just not for me. They have a wonderful outdoor patio and a large, indoor seating area dog, friendly kid, friendly as a matter, in fact there seemed to be more babies and more mamas than anybody else having coffee that day. And I really loved the music .

Stopped here for a quick coffee before heading to the beach but it wasn't as quick as we expected. There were a lot of people here for a Sunday morning! I think next time we'd try ordering ahead on the app. We ordered the Gingersnap, Blueberry Breeze (a seasonal item), and the three cheese egg bites. The egg bites definitely give Starbucks a run for its money, very tasty. The Blueberry Breeze was quite refreshing! A little too sweet but that's okay. The Gingersnap was also delicious, such a throwback. Not in Dana Point often but this is a great spot for coffee if you are.

I would give it 5 stars but for a few things. I've been in here 2x now in the past month for a visit. The coffee is definitely really, really good, some of my favorite. I was not that impressed with one of the specialty beverages, but it wasn't bad-just a good way to spoil what could be an even better cup of coffee. On my most recent visit, first they lost the ticket, causing an unusually longer than normal wait. Then, when the manager or whoever it was apologized very politely, another employee remade the drink in a larger size than we asked for and iced, when I had asked for hot. So she had to remake it again hot. She gave us both drinks I guess as an appeasement for the error and extended wait time. I know it's busy and kind of hard in a place like this, but I would have preferred to have the beverage comped instead of being charged for it and another beverage which we were not going to be able to drink added. Or she could have given me a $5 gift card for the error-something like that. I just don't think getting an extra beverage and a larger size is the best way to go. I also noticed they say no dogs on the door, so the first time I went I waited outside while my friend went in and ordered for us both. Then, on that occasion and on today's visit, I see people walking in with multiple dogs and no one says anything. So which is it? These were obviously not service dogs. Please, enforce the rules or allow dogs. And now I see on Yelp it says dogs allowed. I'm so confused! I think she's the manager, there's a very petite, young lady who on the first visit offered my dog a treat as we were waiting outside, and then she was the same one who apologized to me for the drink mistake. She seems to be on top of things and attentive whenever needed. Kudos to her! I will go back, just hoping they will fine tune their operation a bit more and make the doggie rules fair for everyone.

One thing I really appreciated was that they opened at 5:30 a.m., since many coffee shops in the area don't open until 8-10 a.m. or sometimes even later. The location is right off PCH, making it a convenient stop, although the parking lot is very small and I could see it getting crowded if there were a long drive-through line. We initially parked and walked up to the door thinking we could order inside, but found out that orders are only taken through the drive-through that early. The ordering process was quick, and the barista was friendly and efficient. The drinks were decent overall, with a good coffee flavor, but nothing that really stood out. One thing that surprised me was the cost of the add-ons. My sister changed her milk to oat milk and added a pump of hazelnut, and both were an extra $1 each. The hazelnut flavor tasted good, but the additional charges felt a little steep. Overall, it was a convenient stop with solid coffee, especially if you need something early in the morning, but the pricing for customizations would make me think twice before ordering drinks again.

It's ok i can be embarrassing. He wont read this lol Okay but this is what I mean when I say "local coffee shop energy." J.C. Beans is adorable. Not in a corporate "we ordered our personality from a catalog" way. In a real, slightly chaotic, neighbor-knows-your-name way. Small parking lot? Yes. But that just means you've found something worth gatekeeping. Also there are outdoor seating by the street AND the parking lot, in case you want to hide yourself from the rest of the world. (I'm team parking lot, hiding.) The staff? So nice. So friendly. Like genuinely warm humans. They even offered my dog treats without me awkwardly hovering and hinting. Immediate loyalty secured. And the WiFi? Slapped. Hord. Like, I could actually open PDFs, upload things, and pretend I was writing something groundbreaking instead of rearranging paragraphs for 40 minutes. Patio productivity with dog present = elite setup. Coffee was solid, vibes were solid, humans were solid. This is the kind of place you accidentally turn into your personality. Would return. With dog. With laptop.
