Terrible service. Absolutely terrible service. I've been a Philz customer for 7 years. The last 3 visits the cashier has taken the wrong order down (verbally communicating it correctly to me, once purchased). When we went to grab our drinks we request the barista to make them again as the drinks were not what we ordered. Immediately we are met with entitled attitude and snarky comments about how the ticket was not wrong, it was of course us the customer. As we were called up to the bar to grab our fixed drinks the barista then made another comment about how my foreign girlfriend needs to learn how to speak English better and that was the reason for the drinks being miscommunicated. The drive-thru helps. Came here after a long day of work and fasting and was on the verge of raging when I remembered Philz was close by and had a drive thru. God bless Philz and the staff who were so nice! I ordered a rose latte and all was great in the world again. I forget this place is here since I remember it being either a Burger King or KFC for years. There's a lot of coffee spots around here but the fact that Philz is here AND with a drive-thru makes it my favorite coffee spot next to Cal State Fullerton! read more

Coffee is fantastic. I often get mine on the lighter cream, lighter sweetener side because I don't like milkshakes, but all of their drinks are very good and there's lots of room for preference. They are also really fast. Coffee is very expensive but in the long run, you get what you pay for. Avoid the drive-through, just go inside. read more

Consistent with all the other locations in the OC, this is a location in Fullerton that's a block away from CSUF. Parking here can be tricky during lunch hours and after classes get out on campus, but it's worth driving around and finding a spot. I love their cold coffee creations. One of my personal favorites is the iced Coffee Rose. It has just the perfect balance of that floral finish and the bitterness of the coffee. You can let your barista know how sweet you want your drinks as well. There's a good amount of seating inside but it will mostly be taken by student that have been sitting inside for hours doing their school work. read more

You can easily customize your coffee with less sugar or cream and avoid the line by downloading their app. In addition, if you buy a bag of their whole coffee bean, they grind the coffee based on how you steep it (finely grounded for keurig, etc) Their drive thru line is unique where you should order ahead of time via the mobile app for speedily pick up. I'm usually a latte only type of coffee person but I'm a huge fan of the philtered soul made the house way. I'm also a fan of their iced rose latte made the house way as well. I also love that philz has compostable coffee cups. I tried the monkey bread it was decent. I loved the pumpkin muffin. There's a good amount of space at this location. The staff are nice. The space is clean. There is parking right outside but it is 30 min parking so you'll have to park a little farther if you plan to stay longer. PS I took the iced creamy rose latte to work and everyone loved it and asked where it was from. I think that's a good option for newcomers! I ordered online through the app, they put out my drink at exactly 6:55 (when I wanted to get my order). Honey Haze is amazing, I thought cold brew tasted so bitter and terrible because the only cold brew I have tried was from Starbucks but this drink has changed my mind. It's sweet enough you cant still taste the coffee and the honey flavor is strong. I am sad I forgot to take a picture before I mixed the drink up. My only negative is that the cup leaks out a little bit, it leaves small coffee rings on whatever surface you place down, but other than that it's great. I got a medium and before tipping it was around 6.50 after tipping its around 7.56. I will be back to try different drinks! read more

This is the best Philz out of the 3 I have been to in Southern California. One of the nice perks about this location is the convenient order-ahead drive through. Order-in is pretty fast and efficient as well too- as opposed to the Costa Mesa location (watching paint dry). More importantly, the staff here are just consistently good at making the drinks. Opt for the mint mojito w/ philtered soul cold brew or one of their fine pour over options (Tesoro or Philtered Soul). This is my first time at a Philz Coffee and I plan to come back again, again, again and again. Just a heads up, this location has a steady line, but it is worth the wait. If you don't know if you will have time to wait in line, you can also order ahead on the app. I took a look at the Yelp reviews and I wanted to be safe so I ordered the Silken Splendor with medium sugar and creamy soy milk. The coffee was well made. Now I am not a coffee expert so I play it safe. The location is very roomy with some couch spots as well as a communal table, and some other 2-4 seater tables. It also seems to have a decent amount of wall sockets which is so AMAZING, because I work on the road a lot and sometimes will work through my lunch so those are such a lifesaver. They have two unisex restrooms that were well maintained. Its not incredibly loud and they have large windows that really brighten the place up. I was a bit hesitant because they have many items on their menu, and wasn't sure what was iced or not. The fellow barista helped me out, and explained to me that anything on the menu can be iced. I was excited to see a NorCal coffee chain make it to SoCal and seeing a Philz in these neck of the woods was really exciting stuff! As my first experience at Philz have all been from the "mother ship" of San Francisco, I expected nothing less from this location in Fullerton. This location's vibe definitely felt the same, with your coffee made-to-order. I finally got to try the Mint Mojito coffee, which comes chilled with ice. The coffee master, or whatever these kids at the coffee counter are called, takes your order and made my drink. I had this girl who helped me and she was so fascinated at the fact I've been to the original Philz in NorCal. So, staff seems nice here. I will probably come back here to try the other classic drinks I've had at other locations. Oh, and one thing cool about this location is that they have a drive-thru, so you can order your drinks on the go. How sweet is that?! read more

This is only the second location that I have been to, but I was so happy that this one has opened because it is the closest one. (Hey let's open an even closer one. :) ) My old "go to" drink was an iced mocha tesora. Delicious. I still have not jumped on the mint mojito bandwagon (most popular drink) because I am not a straight coffee lover unfortunately, as coffee is so convenient these days. My new all time favorite is the Philz Iced Tea!!! Large, medium honey, medium cream is the creation I go with. Perfect drink for me. One barista told me that it is considered "Philz Way" but I am not positive on this. It will be hard for me to deviate from this one, it is so delicious. This location now has a drive thru open, however the menu is very limited. It may be about three drinks and a few food items. I know the mint mojito is one but I am not sure what else. I don't think my beloved Philz Iced Tea is one of the options though. :( Your wait can be a while as the baristas really take their time making your drinks and they always wait for you to give confirmation that the drink is to your liking before you go on your way, which is awesome. Both locations that I go to - Huntington Beach and Fullerton - always have excellent customer service. I would probably enjoy working here if life allowed that. read more

I'm a big fan of Philz! I have had their mint mojito, philtered soul, and philz ice tea. I think my favorite is probably the philtered soul! I get them all iced. Regarding food, I love the labneh toast. I've also had the avocado toast and bagel sandwich which were both delicious! I love coming here to study because the ambiance is great! I think others would agree because it's so hard to find a table to study sometimes! It can be stressful driving here if you're not super local and not finding a table. You can either leave and go elsewhere or awkwardly stand around hoping someone will leave soon. The workers are really nice and there is plenty of parking around the area. read more
