I love coming here! I have tried a good portion of their menu, the vermicelli, spring rolls, and pho. I've never felt unsatisfied with my meal. They are fairly generous with their portions which I love! Their pho beef broth is soo flavorful compared to other pho places, and perfect for the winter time! One of the employees, I didn't get his name. Recommended us to try the "sour" broth option! This was very unique and new to me! We ordered it and we loved it! It was a perfect savory and sour flavor!! If you love pho and are adventurous, give the sour broth a try!! The employee gave us the option to change our order if we didn't like it but we finished the bowl! I love the crunchy chili oil here! I'd buy a jar if they had it!! Love the service here and very clean!

My husband has been coming here on Fridays for quite some time. He loves this place. Today I finally got to try it. I've never had Vietnamese food, so I was excited. We both ordered the #41 pork vermicelli bowl. Pork over rice and with salad. It was a nice big portion and was really delicious. Tons of flavor and everything cooked well. Jonathan was also very nice and gave us wonderful service outside with our dog. He was very kind and let me try the Pho broth for next time. Highly recommend!

Great little hole in the wall pho shop. The food is always fresh and the owners are really great. I got the house pho with egg noodles and spicy broth. For me the broth wasn't really spicy, but I can see how it could be for those with lower spice tolerances. Our server was attentive and helpful with questions we had for some of the menu items as well. Overall, a great place to eat for lunch or dinner. It's in a private parking lot, no street parking.

If you would like to support a local small business with good food and great service I suggest you give this place a try. I would give them a 4.5 star rating if Yelp allowed. Rounded up to 5 stars as the service was excellent. The Place- Nicely decorated and clean. The Service- Excellent and friendly! I appreciate how hard a new local business works to try and achieve their dream of being a small business owner and they were definitely putting in the effort! The Food- 1) Pho 100 Special- Very good and recommended. Tip- Pay the extra $1.50 to get the large bowl as it is well worth it. 2) Broken Rice Combo- Good but I might try another dish the next time. Parking- Shares a decent sized parking lot with other businesses and parking was easy.

Has a very nice portion of Shrimp PHO,l at PHO 101. They only sell the large portion of PHO for orders to go. It's a little expensive but quite good. My order was a little over $18. There is a good amount of noodles, broth, shrimp, basil, peppers, lime and sprouts. I was full after eating the meal. The restaurant is very nice and the gentleman who took my order was really nice. The employee's that passed me while I was waiting for my order all said hello. Tabes are comfortable for adults and children, and there are plenty of tables. Even though I think the price for the PHO is a bit high I will definitely return.

How was the food? It was so good I cleaned my plate!

Nice people, good ambience. Food taste mediocre. Stock is likely processed mix that doesn't even have good flavor.

The establishment is kind of hidden in the corner next to the shell gas station and there is ample parking. As I was walking towards the front, I see a sign stating that they have a happy hour starting at 1 o'clock and it was 1259 so I was very excited to see what this look like especially for it being my first time here. This meant that I get to try a lot of new things and a lot more things. There is about 10 to 15 tables inside with different amounts of seating and since it was just my boyfriend and I and the lady gave us the choice to sit wherever then we chose a table with two seats but, had us move to the next one because she said that the two seat ones were for single people, especially because it was lunchtime. She refused to let us sit at the two person table ‍. We got several menus and a pencil with an ordering paper. She took our drink order and we started to explore the vast menu and it all looked great! (I love when they have pictures on the menu apart from descriptions) After she brought us waters, I asked her if the special menu was considered the happy hour menu and she said it's not happy hour yet and I said yes it is 1 o'clock and she looked at my boyfriends clock on his phone and apologized and brought the happy hour menu. I included the receipt so you can see that 4/5 rolls were happy hour pricing. The sushi chefs were 2 Hispanic men and the reason why I mention this was because I feel like most of my rolls had this "chili powder" that resembled Tajin on my rolls and that's what they called "spicy" half my rolls were supposed to be spicy tuna but the tuna itself was not spicy they just had this Tajin-like powder on top and to me it wasn't spicy at all and I also felt like it made those 2/3 rolls taste bland. My bf loves deep fried rolls so he opted to try the magic mtn and he loved it and I think I enjoyed the spider roll the most. Even the spicy tuna on the crispy rice was just regular tuna with no spice. We still thought it tasted good but we will maybe give it another try with different rolls next time. They have a punch card if you spend $50+ after I think 10 you get a free speciality roll. The chefs gave us a parting remark and we thanked them upon leaving for lunch. Our server was a little more cold but kudos to her for handling the whole restaurant by herself in an efficient manner as our food came out quick and we got water refills and she checked in on us while serving 5/6 other tables all by herself.

There are many other options on their menu, feel free to explore. My kids are picky eaters but they absolutely love the Chinese food from here. I of course enjoy the authentic sechuan flavor being Chinese myself. The restaurant is kept tidy and clean, if you want a dine in experience I recommend you to make a booking, walk-in is very welcome but keep note that sometimes it gets really crowded. They have frozen handmade dumplings for sale too if that's something you want to look into.

Was surprised to find such an authentic spot for Chinese in Oak Park!…read more I came by for a Mother's Day lunch with my family. When we arrived around 1 pm, the restaurant was maybe half full. But clearly it was popular as people were coming in constantly the entire time we were eating. Even though the restaurant is called Yunnan Restaurant, most of the dishes on the menu were more like Sichuan dishes i.e. spicy. All of the food was super solid and portions were ginormous. My recommendation is to order 1 dish per person if you want leftovers, or order one less dish than the # of people if you want to finish most of the food. I don't handle spice very well, so we ordered a mix of spicy and non-spicy dishes. We shared the following: #1 Yunan rice noodles ($16.99) #32 scallion pancake ($8.99) #104 Chong qing fried chicken ($16.99) #107 braised pork belly with buns ($19.99) #109 boiled two items - fish and duck blood ($21.99) Given that the restaurant is called Yunnan Restaurant, we felt like we had to order one of the most popular dishes from that region, the Yunan rice noodles i.e. crossing the bridge noodles. I really enjoyed the silky smooth mixian noodles as well as the flavorful broth. The fried chicken was too spicy for me; I ate one piece and my whole mouth was on fire. Everyone else said it was quite spicy as well, so eat this in moderation unless you can really handle your spice. The 3 pepper signs next to this dish on the menu are no joke! The braised pork belly was delicious, but portions were on the smaller side for this one. Still, I enjoyed making a little bun sandwich with the pork belly and pickled veggies. The boiled fish and duck blood was also super solid. It was just a little spicy, so I was able to manage a couple pieces with the help of rice on the side. Portions were very generous for this dish. We all ate lots of fish and duck blood and still had a ton left to take home. They also have some precooked 涼菜, i.e. cold dishes, on the side you can buy for dine-in or to go. We got 3 of the meats - pork tongue, pork head, and and beef tripe, to go. Paid $16.99 for a huge box of these meats. We thought this was a steal too. Can't wait to try some at home!

While the portions were big, the food was okay but it did the job. I got the salmon plate drizzled with teriyaki with the cabbage side and salad side and rice so pretty much comes with 3 sides and a veggie skewer. A lot of food for a small fast food joint. Everything was good but the salmon was pretty thin. We also got one red dragon roll and my bf got the cali and steak plate which comes with a California roll. The sushi is not really worth it here. The red dragon roll had an odd aftertaste that I usually don't taste in a dragon roll and it also tastes dry. The California roll was extremely bland and dry. My bf also got the miso soup which was also bland. We also ordered potstickers which were okay. Service was nice and welcoming when we told them it was our first time there.
