I got delivery tonight. The three of us got 2 orders of bbq spare ribs with broken rice and an order of pho. I had one of the orders of ribs and it was amazing. The other people I ordered with really enjoyed their food too, but the ribs were a big hit. The sauce tasted like Korean bbq, but less sweet and with more ginger. Food is so delicious. The ban xeo I had the other day was on point. Viet coffee was perfectly balanced. My rice dish with pork chop, shredded pork and egg hit the spot. Today I had the vermicelli with spring rolls, shrimp and grilled pork. I know it might sound small but when I see that the carrots are fresh, that makes me happy. So good. The pho here is sooo good! And it's open until 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays, which was great because I came super late one weekend. our server was very nice and very polite. This is my first time for Pho at this place but I've been here couple times to grab some drinks before. Me and my husband went to Pho20 for lunch and I can not fault the meal. We went for the Beef Pho noodles and Rice & egg noodle with seafood special soup - the dishes are hearty, ingredients are fresh. I also ordered Thai tea which I asked if they could make it as smoothie for me and it came out so good. This is one of a good Thai tea taste and smell (as a Thai) Ive ever had in the US. The superb staff, excellent food, the place is clean, organized and very friendly combined with good atmosphere, polite, efficient service and reasonable prices. Was hopeful in finding an on-the-way-home go to Vietnamese, but alas I still must stick to all my favorites on the south side of Washington Ave. my biggest complaint were the summer rolls and sauce. Second biggest all the vermicelli noodles were too thick for each dish-summer rolls, pho and bbq pork vermicelli.!!! the pho was ok however needed more depth to the broth and they left anise flowers in broth. Also didn't enjoy the thick noodles. I missed pho75 greatly. The bbq pork vermicelli- had all the right flavor consistency; however pork had more fatty ratio on meat and again, thick noodles. The worst offense was the summer roll. Could not taste pork or shrimp, the vermicelli noodle inside was too thick, no mint, just no flavor! AND the dipping sauce was a Thai chicken skewer thick peanut sauce. Alright this place is pretty comparable to Pho 75, and I'm definitely impressed with their quality of pho. The broth is clear and very tasty, and slightly sweeter than Pho 75. Not sure what the difference is in how they make their broths. Huge plus is that they take credit card. Clean and modern restaurant. Cheap, affordable food. Service was meh, but who cares? I ordered through Grubhub, they followed through great with the instructions I included. The cilantro didn't seem all that fresh but the noodles alone had a nice chewy and soft texture. Im visiting from New York City and decided to try Philly's pho but was let down by the broth. I strongly feel like the broth makes up 75% of the pho alone. The broth wasn't as flavorful as it is at the spot I go to in NYC in elmhurst which I highly recommend (it's called pho bac, in case anyone reading is visiting NYC). Im glad I asked for extra noodles ($2 extra) because I loved them. I ordered pho chin which is just vermicelli noodles with cooked brisket. My friends and I planned to come here for some food and realized that it wasn't wheel chair accessible. At this point we're used to coming to places & realizing this. But honestly the fact that this is in a busy area, it's a disappointment it isn't disability friendly. Companies need to start realizing & adapting to people who cant walk that would like to eat at places like this. Came here half an hour before closing and they let us stay past closing time, chatting and eating without a care. The service is fantastic, very attentive, funny, friendly. And apparently everyone now knows that a pho place isn't authentic unless there's a number in the name so there's that. The food is just okay, wasn't blown away by the pho that I had. The meat could have been of higher quality, with some cuts being pretty touch to chew through. Everything else was fine, but wouldn't really seek this place out. You know, I'm always trying to get consistent, quality Vietnamese food in this city, and surprisingly Pho 20 meets that request. It's never crazy crowded when I go in, which is great because Viet food is a pretty quick eat anyway. I almost always get Pho Tai (raw steak) because I'm simple and only need a little bit of actual meat in my pho. It's especially important that Pho Tai comes to my table with the meat still pink, because otherwise, the meat gets way too tough. On top of the service being very friendly, I never leave hungry, and I can always get a seat. Sure, it's a bit of a walk since it's at the end of Vine, but it's always worth the trek! read more

This an excellent spot for Vietnamese food in Chinatown. The price is good and the food is tasty. If you like beef, try the short ribs with rice. If you like summer roll type dishes, try Ban Hoi. I love this place! I've ordered from here through Eat24 a bunch of times and they never disappoint. Awesome food on the cheap, and insanely quick service. Pho: I'd say my favorite is the rare steak and well-done flank, but the combinations are plentiful. The broth is really flavorful and arrives nice and hot. The best part about this place is that they deliver their pho in large plastic bowls which include everything except the broth and bean sprouts (see my photo attached). Sounds trivial, but as a dude with no dishwasher I have a deep appreciation for these things. Honey Glazed Chicken Wings: A must try. The flavor is amazing! Sweet and salty, and served with a really savory soy dipping sauce. Summer Rolls: Another winner. They place a strip of fried wonton inside of the the roll which adds an awesome crunch. My friend and I came here for a late dinner and was surprised at how good the pho and bun bo hue was. My friend got the BBH and I got the pho dac biet. We didn't have high expectations because we saw mixed reviews on this place, however, we were fairly surprised at how flavorful the two soups were. I grew up eating pho as a baby so I know good pho. Lain ethics is new and close to home, I really was hoping it would be good. This place is Chinese owned and the pho and broken rice dish is both bland and poor quality meat. Service was good but the food is not worth the visit. Please stay away and go to Pho Xe Lua down the street around the corner. We also ordered spring rolls which was just noodles rolled up with super sweet sauce. read more
