    Grilled Chicken Banh Mi ($10.89)
    Risa H.

I just started working in the area and happy to find that there is a Vietnamese restaurant for lunch nearby! I ordered the Chicken Banh Mi and it was exactly what I wanted. My to-go order came out quick. While I was waiting I saw people's orders of Pho and it looked good - the bowls looked huge! Will be back for lunch ;)

As a solo diner, the service was extremely quick--was seated immediately, ordered within minutes and food came out lightening fast, with the banh mi and the pho coming out 1 minute of each other. The pho had a few mediocre slices of thin beef flank. The broth was bland. However, their banh mi was really good--bread was soft/fluffy, a great mix of meats, and pickled daikon/carrots. It was a quick, no frills experience.

This restaurant offers all your classic Vietnamese favorites - pho, vermicelli, bahn mi. Their pho servings are absolutely enormous. Try the Pho with the Grilled Pork - I am sure they put more than one porkchop in there. The broth was nicely aromatic, and the spring rolls were delightfully crispy. The ambiance was casual and inviting, with Vietnamese music playing in the background. Service was also friendly and quick.

Nice, clean little shop. Tried the Beef Pho and the combo Banh Mi. Both were very solid, though would have preferred to have some cilantro and jalapeños for both dishes. Service was quick, portions were generous, and food was tasty. Would recommend.

Pho was really decent - me and my friend got the pho with the flank and brisket ($16), my friends fiancé got the beef stew ($19), and it was really well priced for this area. There really wasn't an option for all beefs pho - you can add tendon for $6 extra. The beef stew was supposed a more flavorful broth and it comes with beef cubes and tendon only. My friends fiancé thought it was pretty good and the only thing was that the beef cubes could've been slightly more tender. I thought it was overall a really big portion and it came really fast because we were the only customers at 6:45PM on a Tuesday! The service could've been a little better considering there was no one else - a water refill would have been nice and we went up to ask for the check. They do have a bathroom but someone forgot to lock it while in there and I just gave up. I'd probably come back - super decent option in the area!

I got the pho ($21.78), which is steep for pho, but I guess that's Midtown prices for you. The wait was a slog--over 20 minutes for a bowl of pho, which other Yelp reviews warned about. When it finally arrived, the soup lacked that authentic pho aroma, which was a letdown. On the plus side, the beef was fresh, and the reusable to-go bag was a nice touch. Decent, but the wait and price make it hard to love. Might try again if they speed things up.

I ordered "Plain Pho", which is described as just broth and noodles, no garnish or meat. After waiting 30 minutes, for what is literally the simplest item on the menu, the bowl is brought out and it's a bowl of broth with a couple slices of chicken. No noodles. When I inquired, the server told me it's because I ordered the Plain Pho... yea and I said it comes with noodles and broth. They told me they could get me noodles, but acted like they were doing me a favor by fetching noodles for me, which was quite offputting because the noodles were quite literally half of the dish I actually ordered. How does one wait half-an-hour at a very casual fast Vietnamese food place, for premade soup and noodles, and still have the order wrong? In the end, I did get my noodles and broth, but the fact that I had to spend this much time and also justify my request for noodles (which are part of the dish) is quite insane. I put this at 2 stars for now, because I enjoyed my first time. Hopefully the service will improve.
