Really disappointed with this place. We thought this would be our new go to spot, but sadly we were wrong. Got there at 2 PM on a Sunday and they weren't that busy, maybe 30% of tables filled. 20 minutes after ordering, we finally got our eggroll appetizer, but noticed that two other tables (that had gotten there after us) got their apps & entrees almost immediately. After 20 more minutes, we noticed that two more tables came in and also got their food. We gave them five more minutes, and after not getting our food, we just walked out. We understand that a lot of places are short staffed, but why are all of these other tables getting food and we didn't? Will not be returning. Pho 36 is going to be one of my must-visits when I cross the border to go shopping in Seattle. Having moved from the San Francisco Bay Area with lots of good Vietnamese restaurants to Vancouver, BC with mediocre to awful Vietnamese restaurants, Pho 36 is a great find on Yelp! on a recent trip to Everett. I made a mistake of ordering a rice plate instead of noodle soup. My friends got noodle soup (with beef, tripes, tendons, briskets, blood pudding) and it looked so good. My rice plate with grilled pork chops and fried eggs was very good too but I wished I had what my friends had! Next time ... We still miss the banh mi in the Bay Area but the one we had at Pho 36 was tasty and flavourful with light crispy baguette that is soft and chewy on the inside. Again, better than any banh mi we've had in Vancouver. read more

What is wrong with this restaurant? Changed hand? My family loved this restaurant for the past 2 years. The food was good, hot, authentic and price reasonable. Today got a pho for take out... just one look at the meat, we suspected...then tasted the broth; it is confirmed that it was not prepared by the same person. The broth was quite watered down, and the portion got smaller. Since pandemic, the price has got up at least twice; i was okay with that and wanted them to stay in business. BUT with this quality, i have to look for another pho restaurant. :( read more

I was disappointed on their fresh spring roll and the sauce of it. My 2 year old usually loves to eat it and would eat the whole roll or two if she really likes it, but she took a bite and didn't like it. I wondered why and took a bite of it myself and I figured she was not satisfied with the runny sauce and taste didn't fit her. It's not too bad but good thing I knew how to make the sauce myself and fixed it but but daughter refused to take another bite of it. Besides the rolls I ordered the Pho special and it was good but not good enough for my taste. And reason for the two stars is because of service, I asked for extra basil and she didn't came back to give me, I know she heard me because she repeated what I said. And the other reason is extra charges, the lady charged my credit card extra $6 from actual bill. I have my credit card set up to notify me every charges made. Smh. read more

Wow! I've had lots of pho in San Jose, CA which has many great places. I didn't expect to find such great pho in Lynnwood but their pho was fantastic! A bit skimpy on the tendon but very flavorful broth. I'll be back for sure. read more

Came into this Pho place mainly because we've never tried it before and it has been around in this area for a long time Food- Average, not good or bad. Their soup was lacking the flavor in both the Bún Riêu and Bún Bò Huê. However, they gave a lot of side veggie beansprouts etc. for the bowl of noodles which compensated for the lack of taste. The meat inside wasn't as fresh and not as traditional (or what I'm use to at other restaurants) Service- Like any other Vietnamese restaurant that does food other than just Pho, there was only one waiteress who wasn't as attentive and had trouble following up on the 4 people who came in at the same time. Vermicelli was pretty good. Egg rolls were too doughy. I think they use the Chinese egg roll wrapper instead of the Vietnamese wrapper. I didn't care for it. They should change that because the filling was wonderful. Over all service and food was good. read more

Where were our free Thai iced teas that everyone wrote about??? That's what I want to know. I went there with my Vietnamese boyfriend for dinner last night and I was expecting some free iced teas and some damn good pho. But we were very disappointed. To be honest, the pho smelled absolutely delicious and it tasted pretty good too... BUT my bf insisted that the pho was NOT worth $7. And you know what? I agree. Pho is usually about $5 or $6 for a small bowl but come on, $6.95 for a regular and $7 something for a large? Wow, that's the most expensive pho I've had. And I thought Lynnwood was supposed to be cheaper than Seattle. The bf also insisted that I give them one star because there was no service whatsoever. The guy basically took our order, gave us our food and then never came back. He didn't refill our waters and never checked up on us during our meal and we were the only two people in the restaurant!!! Man, they are really dead on Wednesday nights or something. It was kind of awkward. The restaurant's interior was pretty nice, really clean for a pho place so that was nice... but honestly, I wasn't all that impressed by the pho quality OR service. This is my mom's favorite pho place and she is a pho connoisseur so I had to see what it was about! She brought me to try it and was very excited to see what I thought! The service is fast and pleasant. I ordered the tofu pho with added vegetables and vegetable broth, and she ordered the rare beef pho. We both got regular sizes and the portions are huge- comparable to a large size elsewhere!! Mine was a little bland but nothing some hoisin and sriracha couldn't fix! My daughter wanted Pho for dinner, and we decided to try a new place for a change (we usually go to Pho Duc across the street). We were the first ones there; 6pm on a Friday so were seated right away. The dining area was clean as well as the tables (which I was surprised to find since the floor was tile!). I wanted to try some authentic fare, so after discussing with my daughter which of the two family soups to try (the Tom Yum or the Vietnamese Sour Soup) she opted for the Vietnamese sour soup. I am so glad she did! The waiter suggested us to order it with shrimp, after I had first opted for chicken. I told him I wanted it authentic, and he said you must have it with shrimp. Unfortunately, after we ordered, my son started acting up and we had to take our order "to go". When we got home, I laid out the spread and was so excited to open everything up. The Vietnamese Sour Soup - This was by far the tastiest one I have had, with plenty of veggies and shrimp. I was also surprised to see they used FRESH pineapple! (Which of course they should!) At first I thought it was a bit salty, but after putting in some chili paste, it was PERFECT! Lemon grass, mint, bean sprouts, shrimp, tomato, and young lotus stem in a mild sour broth = the perfect remedy for a cold! We also ordered the Vietnamese pancake - DELISH (full of shrimp, bean sprouts, pork) and the cake wasn't a bit oily. The beautiful greens and fish sauce were perfectly packaged separately, which consisted of iceberg lettuce, Thai basil, cilantro and shiro leaves. Did I mention they even cut a hole in the top of the container to let out the steam from the pancake? So we had NO SOGGY PANCAKE! Thank you! Lastly we had the short rice noodle with chicken, broccoli and egg. Yum! The chicken was crispy and the sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and salty, but without the "oyster sauce" flavor. The kiddos loved this (and so did we!) Even though we didn't get to stay to have dessert, drinks and a shake, the food was spot on and what's even better - NO MSG! And it still was delish after a 10min drive home. I can't wait to try this place again - with better behaving kids. read more

I've been craving pho since last Sunday and I'm glad I decided to just listen to my stomach and go for it. Decided to try this place because my brother's friend's family owns it and I haven't been here for over a decade. So I figured since I got this craving, let's see if the pho here is still any good. I went with their Pho 36 Special in a large bowl and also ordered their Ice Coffee with Condensed Milk. The pho definitely hit the spot. Broth had this clean healthy look to it as if they skimmed off the fat from the broth. Very nice. The bowl had a ridiculous amount of rice noodles in it which at first looked intimidating, but I ended up devouring it all with ease. The bean sprouts on the side could've been better by rinsing off the green petals. It looks better without them and looks like there was more care in prepping the bean sprouts. It just looks kind of lazy. Overall, the pho was well made. I definitely will be back again for it. For the coffee, it was an extremely slow drip. I know it's suppose to drip slow, but this was slower than average. Eventually it finished off and I mixed it up and drank it. It was quite strong and they definitely used that legit Vietnamese coffee grinds. Well done. read more

Looked on Yelp for a Pho place after going to see Frozen 2 with my daughter. We were both feeling under the weather with colds so pho was the answer to where should we eat? The location is a little bizarre as it is located at the end of a parking lot between El Riconsito and a church. Interior is clean, bathrooms, meh. We started off with Crispy calamari which was pleasantly delicious. A crispy panko coating surrounding a large ring of slightly chewy, soft calamari and dipping sauce. At 8 pieces for $6.95 - I'd say a good deal. We both ordered a regular sized pho- me soft tendon and meatball, baby girl just meatball. A standard sized bowl of veggies accompanied our soup. The soup: well let me tell you. A good Pho starts with broth. And their broth was simply delicious. Simple yet with a nice depth to it. The noodles were perfectly made- not mushy, not too firm. My beef tendon was soft - melt in your mouth soft. The meatballs tasty. I'd say you Yelpers guided me to a great spot. A hidden gem. Definitely a place I'd return to if I'm itching for Pho in the area. Pho 36 took the Frozen out of us and we both left with full bellies, clear sinuses and warm bodies. read more

We waited 30-45 mins for two beef sandwiches, got one pork and one beef, this was not the worst part however because I don't mind getting pork. The thing was that the bread was hard as bricks, the pork was COLD and RAW! Like it was blood red raw! I'm surprised the pork didn't get up and run away. Then when we told the waitress about it, she just said sorry and didn't even offer to not charge for the sandwich even though I had two bites of the sandwich since there was raw meat.
