We arrived early during lunch on a Sunday and was one of the only groups there. But it did fill up pretty quickly after that! We started off with appetizers and probably ordered a little too much. The seasoned cucumbers looked interesting so we got an order of those. It ended up being big chunks of cucumbers in a soy sauce marinade. It was just alright and not super tasty or anything. I have to admit, I have made more flavorful cucumbers at home. Perhaps it was the type of cucumber which was not my favorite. They used regular American cucumbers instead of English or Persian cucumbers, which I prefer. We also ordered the fish sauce fried chicken wings. They were decent but nothing to write home about. We also had a couple orders of eggrolls. Of the three appetizers, this one was the tastiest. The one thing I wish they provided with the egg rolls is lettuce and herbs to wrap the egg rolls with. Instead, there was a little side of pickled cabbage and carrots. For our main entrées, we ordered bun bo hue. It was pretty good and I finished most of it. It came with your basic items and not a lot of meat. There was no pork hock or anything like that. Tendon was probably the most different type of meat in there. We also had the combination fried rice, vermicelli noodles and grilled pork, and broken rice with grilled pork with a fried egg. Sure, I'd return if I was in the area again and craving Vietnamese food.

This is because it is owned by a husband, wife and son; so there is a very personal touch when it comes to customer service. I've come here twice and so far I really love the no. 46 pork vermicelli noodles, their egg rolls, spring rolls, and their combination phô soup. It is important to note that there is pork in their eggrolls and I love how crispy they are. All of the meats in my meals were delicious! Their menu is priced very affordably with the majority of the items costing under $15. They appear to be very popular for delivery service services, such as DoorDash and Uber eats. There were also many people who did pick-up. Although I could wish for more ambience inside with some music, I can appreciate that there's ample parking in their shared lot and they have a clean bathroom. Pho 4 Queen used to be a go-to spot for delicious food and good service, but unfortunately, things have taken a drastic turn for the worse under the new ownership. The quality of the food has significantly declined, and the service is practically non-existent. During my recent visit, I ordered the beef stew, which still had the familiar flavor I used to love, but the meat was a disappointment. It was mostly gristle, tough, and barely resembled beef. The stir-fry we ordered was equally underwhelming -- bland with no flavor and only three tiny shrimp. To make matters worse, the front attendant was openly yelling obscenities at a customer during our meal, adding to an already unpleasant experience. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and unacceptable. If you're looking for good pho or a decent dining experience, I strongly recommend finding another spot. This place has lost its charm, its quality, and my business. I will not be returning. read more

I'm going to be straight and clear- the place is horrible, never will be coming back. I decided to try a new pho place the other day. My waiter was some bald guy, he quickly gave me a table and got my order. But when the food came out, I was disappointed- the BBQ pork with broken rice had a funky smell to it and the meat itself was too hard to chew. Yummy pho... the broth was good, the service was good, the decor is nice / new / clean. No complaints. I got the wonton egg noodle bbq pork soup and my bf got the #11 pho and we both enjoyed the meal. Afterwards we got the honeydew smoothie with boba and it was delicious, almost like a sorbet. I will come again, been here 2 x so far. My gf always gets the PhoGa (chicken) it has thin sliced white breast meat. I on the other hand get the rare steak. Worth getting the Large bowl ,Great take home!! My gf eats it ALL..! The egg rolls are BOMB!!! Worth the price absolutely! San Diego has a lot of different pho spots ... Unfortunately the higher up north and east you go the worse the pho becomes. This place is decent but a little overhyped. I've been coming here for months, and the bathroom door lock has been broken the entire time. We've already informed the owner multiple times, but nothing has been done. It's disappointing that such a simple and inexpensive repair has been ignored for so long. Please fix it--customers deserve a clean and safe restroom. read more

Went to Pho 4 Queen for the first time last night. I am new to pho as this was my 3 time ever eating it. I have to say not only is it close to home, but it was really good. It's a good size dining room with many tables and a few booths. The service was very friendly. It looked like a small family owned business. We arrived early during lunch on a Sunday and was one of the only groups there. But it did fill up pretty quickly after that! We started off with appetizers and probably ordered a little too much. The seasoned cucumbers looked interesting so we got an order of those. It ended up being big chunks of cucumbers in a soy sauce marinade. It was just alright and not super tasty or anything. I have to admit, I have made more flavorful cucumbers at home. Perhaps it was the type of cucumber which was not my favorite. They used regular American cucumbers instead of English or Persian cucumbers, which I prefer. We also ordered the fish sauce fried chicken wings. They were decent but nothing to write home about. We also had a couple orders of eggrolls. Of the three appetizers, this one was the tastiest. The one thing I wish they provided with the egg rolls is lettuce and herbs to wrap the egg rolls with. Instead, there was a little side of pickled cabbage and carrots. For our main entrées, we ordered bun bo hue. It was pretty good and I finished most of it. It came with your basic items and not a lot of meat. There was no pork hock or anything like that. Tendon was probably the most different type of meat in there. We also had the combination fried rice, vermicelli noodles and grilled pork, and broken rice with grilled pork with a fried egg. Sure, I'd return if I was in the area again and craving Vietnamese food.
