    Chicken Pad Wun Sen
    Renée M.

Was craving their Pad Wun Sen for awhile now so I went after church. It was a little chilly so I was happy to get some comfort food. I double checked to make sure I had the correct order before leaving the parking lot and all was perfect! I had used Door Dash to pick it up & it was supposedly incorrect one time but I didn't notice it until I got home. Anyway, I looked at the fresh veggies, chicken & non-greasy glass noodles & I couldn't wait to dive into it! It was delish with a splash of lemon and freshly ground black pepper that I topped it off with. Veggies like crunchy broccoli, bok choy, carrots, red & green bell peppers, cabbage & bamboo shoots. Everything tasted fresh & no weird chemical taste nor old meat as in a previous restaurant where I had ordered the same dish. Ordering was easy & I was able to pick it up from the drive-thru window. Easy-peasy!! So glad for this convenience & location.

I have been wanting to try this place for months! Especially since you can pick up your to go orders through a drive thru window! I drove up and asked the lady for a menu since I was driving and couldn't look up up on my phone and she was so sweet, she let me place my order right there and come back since I had to run an errand. She was super knowledgeable about the menu and what was gluten free, what used any seafood, and made sure to give the right recommendations. For the Service I give them 10/10 5* The food I would give a 4* The pho was good but a pinch on the bland side. I was expecting the broth to have more flavor but once you add your sauces and everything it's fine. The chicken summer roll was a 5* hands down! I usually never get chicken but my mother can't eat shrimp and we were sharing so I got the chicken and it did not disappoint! Very good! I didn't go inside but the outside is very clean and has gorgeous plants that definitely give that tropical vibe. I will go back and try their other items and keep you posted!

Their interpretation of serving 6 pieces of egg rolls. 2 Burnt egg rolls cut into 6 pieces.

I ordered takeout and they burnt my fried egg rolls. The menu said six pieces and I got two egg rolls cut into six pieces. I should have inspected my order but I was in a hurry. My order of pho was decent. The did a good job packaging it for takeout. Next time I'll dine in to compare items with their takeout portions. I suspect a significant difference in quality and portions. 2 stars for my takeout experience.

Best pho in SA! I had a handful of their dishes but I always come back for the pho! The atmosphere cute homey!

For that cold weather we had to stop in and have some pho..... First time here and will definitely be back. The drunken noodles with chicken and a combo pho hit the spot. Flavors of both were spot on. The broth of the pho hugs you just right.

This is a nice little pho spot closer to where we live. Been here a couple times and each time it's always good. It's clean and always smells like good food cooking in the back. The service is good as well, drinks always get filled quick when running low. The pho and other menu items haven't been disappointing. Overall good food and flavor.

We had been the same area where Pho 4 Star on Evans before and thought to visit today for dinner. Dad had Limeade, Hubby had Iced Tea, and I had Jasmine Tea. We had wanted to try the Papaya Salad with shrimp, but they didn't have it, which was a bummer. Dad and I shared the Grilled Pork & Spring Roll. The generous portion was just right for us but would've been a lot for one person to eat. Loved their fish sauce so much that I asked for extra. It was very tasty! Hubby was very happy with his 4 Star Combo Rice Plate. One thing we noticed is they have Hot Pot. We'll have to come back in cooler weather to try that. We ended with the Mango Sticky Rice. The great news is that they're open 7 days a week. One thing unique is that they also serve Thai dishes.

Check ya pho, that's not star anise, that's a dead spider.

Spider in the pho. I'll give them two stars, because my son still wanted to eat it. No I did let him and he was very sad. He loves the place, but that kid would eat everything off the floor if you allowed him to! no spider soup today!

But my son, bless his heart, wasn't exposed to Officer Whats-his-face explaining to a class of fifth graders how deviously addictive substances like heroin, crack, and hot pot can be. So my kid has had a habit for about three or four years now. Chinese hot-pot barely tempts me these days; I don't need a numb mouth like that. Mongolian...that level of sodium was fine in my twenties, I guess. Shabu proper - served with ponzu and sesame sauce by some fella wearing a headband starts to get tempting. But I'm doing well this year, I've only flown to LA's Japantown for my fix once. And honestly, this is not that anyway. Most of these restaurants, where they expect me to boil my own dinner, are pretty easy to wean off of. I mean, seriously, how lazy can a restaurant owner be. Here's some raw meat, cook it yourself, folks? Unfortunately, Wild Japanese's offering is more akin to the most delicious of the hot pots. Singaporean or Malaysian style, with a gigantic assortment of sauces and a flavorful selection of broths, and the best soup you've ever had waiting for you at the end of your meal. And I hope that helps explain why when we go two weeks without a visit, my son starts to get really antsy and sees bugs crawling under his skin, just like Officer What's-His-Face said he would. I think originally you could get just not-shabu; nowadays, they make you pair the hot pot with some inferior food. We've tried the sushi a few times. That was a huge mistake. The Korean BBQ pairs well, it's just a lot of effort, and not a lot of soup, so we grill a token steak or two but otherwise stick to not-shabu. Anyway, that's a short entomology of hot pots throughout the world, excluding fondue, according to my tummy. I could probably stop anytime if I really wanted. Eating this delicious not-shabu. But for my son's sake, I go.

This requirement is not posted anywhere on their website, menu, or in-store signage. If this is an actual policy, it needs to be clearly disclosed so customers are aware before coming in. The restaurant was not busy at the time, with several open tables, so it did not appear to be related to capacity or kitchen limitations. I asked if I could speak with a manager to clarify, but was told the server's decision was final and no manager was available. Overall, it was frustrating to arrive expecting a clearly advertised late-night all-you-can-eat option only to be told it is not available to solo diners without any prior notice. Better communication and transparency would prevent situations like this in the future.

Even on busy weekends, managers were constantly checking on guests, the self-serve bars were fully stocked, and the servers were knowledgeable about the menu and enthusiastic about the experience. It felt like they were trying to showcase Japanese barbecue and hot pot--not just serve a meal. Fast forward to today's visit... what happened? From the moment we walked in, the hostess acted like our arrival was an inconvenience, despite greeting customers being the job description. Our server was pleasant enough, but completely lacked enthusiasm for the product. At one point, when discussing an item, the response was essentially, "If you don't like it, you don't have to eat it." Fair enough--but that's light-years away from the hospitality we experienced just a few months ago. The self-serve stations have apparently changed, and several items now have to be ordered through the server. That's perfectly fine, but it would've been nice if someone had explained that at the beginning of the meal instead of us discovering it near the end. Then there were the bathrooms... I'm not a restaurant owner, but if you're open during Saturday lunch in the middle of a shopping center and business appears slower than it once was, you'd think keeping the restrooms clean would be a manageable priority. Soap dispensers were hanging off the wall, paper towels were stacked all over the bathroom, trash covered the floors, and--ironically--I found the napkins I couldn't get at my table... in the restroom. The employees clearing tables looked less like restaurant staff and more like high school students serving detention or trying to earn extra credit. The whole place feels like it lost its identity. What was once a polished, family-friendly restaurant with pride in the experience now gives off a "Come on, man... it's not that big of a deal if things are a little gross. We're trying our hardest." vibe. J-Pot used to have standards. Somewhere along the way, those standards seem to have been replaced by cost-cutting and indifference. The food is still good(ish, but that for a different time), but the experience that made this place special has largely disappeared--and that's the most disappointing part. Will JPot bounce back? Or will Jpot succumb to the lackadaisical labor mentality of the modern day employee (I blame communism) and commit seppuku??? The world awaits....

You go into the app and get the support folks to cancel it, or it is called "customer initiated" and you lose your refund. Anyway, Doordash had the order redone and delivered with a new driver. Let's get to Sichuan Garden. I ordered from here because they had some "non- standard" offerings. I lived in Taiwan a while back and upon return to the US never acquired a taste for the supposedly authentic Americanized dishes. I ordered stir fried pork tripe and pork intestines in spicy chili sauce. I got a complimentary side of fried rice with each of them. I also ordered beef lomein for my son and 4 eggrolls. I tasted the lomein, and it was just okay. I have definitely had better. The egg rolls were "delivery soggy" but tasted fantastic. Can't complain there. The trip and intestine dishes were both delicious. I could eat them every day for the rest of my life and be satisfied. The fried rice, though, was awful. I used it the next day to make a much more improved version at home. All in all, I like the food from Sichuan Garden. I am anxious to go there and dine in.
