Her only (continual) complaint was that they didn't have tendon. Sometimes you cannot make people understand not all pho places have tendon. (Because I make pho myself I tried explaining why not everyone makes tendon pho. ) Anyway, she stated it was very good. It was very packed, & they do have outdoor seating available, which is great due to the close proximity to the campus. The only reason for the lack of a star is the size of the drink cups, & my friend said the tea was just too sweet & it tasted a bit bitter. For myself I really liked their broth a lot. You can taste the date they put into making that broth. I look forward to returning & trying more of their pho's in the future.

After looking through the menu--and checking a few Yelp reviews while deciding--I ordered the drunken noodles at the second-highest spice level along with the gyoza. Since I was pretty hungry, I opted for the dinner portion when the waiter asked which size I wanted, assuming the soup and spring roll special still applied. The gyoza were decent but not especially memorable--very crisp on the outside, though the filling could've had a bit more texture and flavor. The drunken noodles, however, were excellent. The spice level was right where I wanted it: hot enough to make me break a sweat a little without completely overpowering the dish. When I later asked about the soup and spring roll, the waiter explained that the promotion only applied to lunch portions, not dinner-sized entrees. To his credit, he brought out a complimentary spring roll anyway to make up for the misunderstanding. It was good, though pretty standard overall. I'd definitely order the drunken noodles again. While this probably won't become my go-to Thai spot solely because of the traffic around the area, it's a solid option when I'm already nearby running errands.
