As this is a Vietnamese and Thai restaurant, I ordered a familiar dish commonly found in most Asian restaurants. I particularly appreciate that the food here tastes noticeably homemade rather than processed or pre-made. This family establishment clearly prepares everything with care and dedication, especially from heart. The service was also exceptionally great. Thank you for the deliciously hot meal.

Went in for take out. Friendly service. Ordered quick and the food was ready fast. I like the way they prepared the pho. Picture will show. Let me tell you this....that broth was amazing! I enjoyed it so much! I will come back and dine in. Very delicious!

    Combination pho and extra noodles

3*s for food & value +1* for good service. Came here after a long day at SeaWorld. My husband ordered the combination pho with extra noodles and an order of fresh summer rolls. I wasn't feeling really hungry so the extra pho noodles were for me. They brought out an extra bowl and put the extra noodles on a separate plate :) the combination pho had a little bit of everything, two meatball halves, a slice of tripe, slice of beef tendon, and a few brisket slices. The broth was very heavily spiced and slightly sweet. Since the table had soy sauce, chili oil, and Sriracha I doctored the broth to my preference. Altogether, the food was good, nothing exceptional.

I didn't realize how much bigger it is in the inside

Bestiessssss I think I feel shame lol. Do you KNOW how many times I have passed this place and NEVER went in?? Well by golly it won't happen EVER again!! Well let's get into it... This delectable place is located in the HEB shopping center area and parking can be a bit crazy if you come at the wrong time BUT it's worth the chance friend Sooo here I am smelling something just perfuming my nose so BAD friend I had to look up from watching my instagram and I kept noticing people coming in and go out.... Which is a GREAT sign that the food might just be delicious. So I thought hrmmmm let's take a chance. I'm NOT scared lol I ordered some lumpia and grilled pork and baybaeeeeee I was pleasantly surprised now the lumpia it was ok BUT that grilled pork got me allllllll the way together. It was sooo delicious and they put a little cabbage and cucumber with tomatoes on the side with a little dipping sauce VERY tasty. If you guys don't get down here and try this place.... Don't wait.. no seriously if you're reading this ... let's EAT!! I will be back... you better KNOW it!!

They have very unique dishes to taste. The service was very good and fast,it's slowly becoming a must try when I'm in the area.

Very cozy and delicious restaurant. I tried their vermicelli with shrimp, pork and Vietnamese spring roll, summer rolls and jasmine tea.

Vietnamese Spring Rolls (it comes with sweet chili sauce)

Me and my family always loves this Pho restaurant. (TL;DR at the end) Everything that I've eaten here has been delicious and is my go-to for Pho in San Antonio. I always order their Vietnamese Spring Rolls and it always comes out piping hot, to the point where you have to break it open and let it cool before you eat it. My only recommendation would be to serve it with a sweet fish sauce mix that I've had at another Pho restaurant, rather than the sweet chili sauce; to me it just tastes better but just preference. As for the Pho, it is always consistent. The broth is the same whether you order to-go, eat it at the restaurant, or even leave it in the fridge and reheat 2 days later. The noodles always comes out with a good consistency. Some may like their noodles more soggy, some may like it more Al-dente, but these noodles to me are the perfect middle texture when it comes to noodles. The broth is very savory with a good note of ginger (which is normal) that isn't overwhelming and to me, it does not taste as game-y. If you want your Pho to taste less game-y, you can always add cilantro or basil, which comes with your Pho on the side. I always finish my bowl no matter how hungry or not hungry I am, and I never feel sick or dis-satisfied afterwards. An improvement to the restaurant, to me, is that the restaurant stopped smelling like old bamboo or old rice inside. I know it sounds weird, but a few months beforehand it had a very distinct, a little unpleasant, smell to the restaurant that wouldn't bother me after 4-5 minutes, but was still a strange thing. It stopped smelling like that though but it was very.. interesting LOL. In terms of service, always fantastic. There is always a couple familiar ladies that work there and they always take care of my order, come around asking if I need anything else, and is just overall very friendly. There isn't a lot of seating inside, but I never really find trouble finding seating even at apex times. Even if I couldn't find seating, I would not mind ordering takeout from this restaurant. Definitely a great Pho place and I highly recommend you give it a shot. This place has been here for a while and is located in a good area and is a fine establishment, especially if you love Pho, like me!

Uncooked beef pho is what they said is the norm for all beef pho they sell.

My whole family loves Pho, and so we ordered take out for my son's birthday. Upon arrival, our kids started chowing down on everything but stopped when we opened the beef Pho order and noticed it was 100% uncooked and blood had cross contaminated the rice noodles. We stopped eating all the food immediately. We called and were told that uncooked beef is the way they serve it in the broth when you dine there. The broth would not have been hot enough to cook anything. They almost offered to replace our Pho free of charge and then someone in the background of the phone call instructed that there wouldn't be a replacement because the order was made correctly. I did not want another order. Keep in mind, I've never been to Vietnam or wherever these cooks are from, so maybe this is the way that it is supposed to be served and every place I have ever gone to has just Americanized it for me. If that is the case, then anyone who likes real pho, this is your place and I apologize for the low star rating.

Pho 4 who? Pho 4 u! Overshadowed by the huge H‑E‑B plus, Pho 4U sits almost in the corner of this super convenient shopping plaza. I literally come here every week after getting groceries because eating out after spending 100 dollars on groceries hits different. The place is a small hole in the wall place with Vietnamese owners and staff. The food comes out super quick and is made with care. The pho has an amazing broth that has deep flavors of the spices and bones used to make it. My absolute favorite though is actually their Chicken Roti. It comes with fried rice, fresh greens with tomatoes and cucumbers, and two sizable pieces of chicken quarters. The chicken is crispy on the outside like a fried chicken but the inside is tender and juicy and has the fall off the bone texture that a roasted chicken has. They have a really good and authentic Vietnamese coffee as well as a REAL Thai tea that isn't made with powder from what I can tell. I've tried a few pho places around here but after coming here, the 6% Vietnamese in me has this as top spot for Viet food.

I hate to leave a bad review but the food was just not good. Pho brisket (1/5): the noodles were overcooked and soggy. The cut of brisket used isn't usually a cut I see in most vietnamese restaurants, it was thicker. The smell of the meat itself was off putting, a very gamey smell to it? The broth itself didn't taste clean and very little flavor to it. The herbs on the side were obviously not fresh and didn't look clean. The condiments jar on the side were sticky and gross. As a vietnamese, I am very disappointed and after learning about their roach infestation, I will gladly not come back.

Explains why I got food poisoning.

However, my most recent encounter has soured me completely, and I think I will never return. My favorite dish here was something that did not appear on the menu, Bo Tai Chanh salad. Even though it was not listed, they would whip it up at my request. It consists of beef cappaccio on an iceberg lettuce salad with Vietnamese vegetables and a fish sauce based dressing. Tonight they refused my order. What makes this refusal all the more frustrating is that Pho Bo Tai Chanh (the soup version) is listed on the menu and promoted as one of the favorite dishes. All that was needed, to meet my request, was to cut up half a head of lettuce and throw the non-liquid ingredients of the soup on top. Every restaurant should remember the customer is always right. Their only purpose is to meet their customers' requests to the best of their ability. I understand when a kitchen cannot meet requests with the ingredients or equipment they have. For example, I always call 24 hours ahead to order Peking Duck because the traditional methods require that amount of time to prepare the dish. Or I remember being refused a request to have my meat served rare when the restaurant had already cooked all its meat to medium rare using sous vide. I don't expect the kitchen to do the impossible. But every kitchen must be ready to meet special request whether health related like peanuts, shrimp, gluten, salt, carbohydrates, etc. or relate to tastes or ethics like vegetarian, vegans, seafood, etc. To fail one's customers is the first step to being one of the numerous restaurants to fail and become irrelevant. Any restaurant that refuses to meet reasonable requests fails the fundamental test for good service and does not deserve to be patronized. P.S. I end up going down the road to Yaya's Thai Restaurant (another local restaurant) to get something that met my tastes and preferences.
