Pho 75 is an example of an establishment that does one thing and does it WELL. They pretty much only have pho on the menu, but you can choose any combo of meats to go with it. The large bowl is only a dollar more than the regular bowl, so it's definitely worth it just to get a larger portion for about $10. They were generous with the toppings and the broth was hearty. The best part of the experience was that our food came out in literally two minutes-- it was crazy quick. Definitely recommend! Best Pho in a long while. Our server pointed us to #'s 11 & 12 on the menu which were both beef and both delicious - with just slightly different flavors. No sooner had we ordered than the dishes were in front of us. This shows that the broths had been prepared well in advance letting all the flavors meld together. Pho 75 serves up some very tasty bowls of Pho, the perfect comfort food for cold February days. The price is great and food is served in a very efficient manner. They offer two sizes (regular and large) with only $1 price difference. I ordered the regular size broth only (no meat) and it was super flavorful, tangy and delicious. The wait time for the food is also very short since they just need to assemble the food. They have 2 bowl sizes - regular and large and the differences is $1. Meat quality was definitely the highlight- I personally recommend the various brisket options they have. Tendon was ok, and the noodle texture was nice. Tried pho deluxe , portion sizes are smaller than I remembered, they don't give you enough broth and I ordered a large, and the broth wasn't good either, nor was it piping hot , normally the raw streak cooks in the broth but it remained slightly raw because of the warm broth. My boyfriend and I were in the city for the Philadelphia flower show and wanted to grab something to eat before going. He was in the mood for some pho, so I went on Yelp and found raving reviews about this restaurant. The parking lot is very hectic and tight on the weekends, but we were able to find parking something to note is that there are three different pho/Vietnamese restaurants in the same plaza when we walked into the restaurant we were immediately greeted by several different servers and were escorted quickly to a seat by the window. The table was clean, and the servers came over quickly with some water and menus. The server asked us if we were ready and recommended a couple different pho based on what we were looking at, and we both chose to go with the pho and well done flank and we're not disappointed. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and it came out in a drip pot, which I have not seen in a very long time and was , very excited to try. The pho was quickly brought to our table in a matter of maybe 2 to 3 minutes after placing the order which was amazing. The food was fresh. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth had so much flavor. I cannot recommend this place enough times five stars doesn't do it justice. My partner ordered the salted lemonade, and it was fresh lemons, and the salt and sugar, which was an understatement of how delicious it actually was. Delicious beef combo pho, and understandable why this place is a favorite for many Philly natives! My Vietnamese friend introduced this spot to me, and we ordered the number 1 pho, which has a bit of everything--beef brisket, tripe, and cartilage. I appreciated that you have 2 options of portion size: small and large. Service was extremely quick; the food was delivered within 6 minutes. As for the actual pho: the broth was flavorful and slightly richer than what you would get with a single boxed chicken broth--signs that they truly took their time to cook it well. The soup was warm enough for the thinly sliced meat to cook to a tender, medium-well consistency, and each variety of meat was fresh. I also appreciated that though the broth was warm enough to cook the meat sufficiently, the noodles were served so that they maintained their chewiness and did not become soggy. The mint leaves were an interesting change from the basil that is usually served with pho, but they were fresh and not overwhelmingly minty, and definitely added a refreshing contrast and other dimension to the broth and noodles! However, the iced Vietnamese coffee stole the show, and was so good I went back to Pho 75 a different day to get it to-go. While dining, it is served as a drip coffee (pictured below). You then can add the finished brew to a glass of ice. You could even add more cold water to the coffee grounds to make more coffee, since the first brew of drip coffee is so strong. The coffee was SO flavorful and tasted like a unique blend of different grounds, and the ratio of coffee to condensed milk delivered the perfect amount of creaminess and sweetness (I like my boba 70% sweet for reference). As other reviews have mentioned, this restaurant takes cash only. If you're looking for an authentic Vietnamese pho and coffee experience, Pho 75 will deliver! read more
