I've been to a lot of Pho places as a Vietnamese but this one specially located here in South Philly will always be the best! They have a few locations but this one is the best. The service is typical Asian restaurant quick and to the point no filter. The ambiance is decent nothing fancy but they don't advertise to be but still a great spot to grab pho when you're in the mood. You can tell an Asian restaurant is good if it has a lot of Asian people - pro tip!!! And when a place specializes in one item (pho) just know it's good because it focuses on one item! read more

I usually order a large pho with eye round steak and well done flank. For this morning, the broth was a little bland and needed extra nuoc mam (Vietnamese fish sauce). I'm guessing that they just made the broth and it hasn't had time to cook down. They're a little skimpy on the noodles but generous with the meat portion. This is a good restaurant to go to for many reasons. The most important reason is the quality of the food. I think the food at this restaurant is very good. The second most important thing is the quality of the service. The restaurant is set up in a way that allows the servers to see everything and be everywhere. They gave me an ice cold water and were present on the floor to refill my water so there was no chance in becoming thirsty. They also sell a delicious iced tea for $.50 and a hot tea for $1. I think this is very nice of them because they could easily charge more money for the tea and it would be reasonable. I came with 4 friends on a rainy Friday night without a reservation. We were seated immediately at one end of a large table. The menu is very simple- you get Pho and can pick the meats. I don't think they have any vegetarian options, as even the plain noodles are served in a meat-based broth. We each ordered our Pho and some of us got drinks. The lemon soda was super yummy, but we didn't love the pickled soda. It is pretty no frills, but the service is quick. There was some confusion, but fortunately one our party members is Vietnamese and could help out the server. Def one of my favorite pho places. The one in Arlington, VA and in Philly are part of the same chain and they are both equally good. The pho here is really really really good. The broth is rich and packed with flavor. They are a lot more generous with their meat than other pho places I've been to. The prices here are cheaper than other places as well. Their menu is very simple....only pho. No spring rolls or bahn mi or vermicelli bowls. Speaks to the quality of the pho. Service here is pretty quick although not the friendliest. I walked to the back register and waited in line to order takeout. The gentleman was so nice, even asking if I wanted the noodles dry so that they wouldn't get overcooked in transit. I hadn't even put away my wallet in the time it took for the order to be ready, as if it wasn't busy. The broth has an incredible depth of flavor, without being too overpowering or salty.
