I've been eating pho at this store for last 25yrs, but yesterday I had a really bad experience there. It was the worst customer service ever, in fact, it was more like an verbal abuse. As soon as I walked into the store, I said and gestured "table for 2" to the waiter there. The guy told me to sit in one of the table by the entrance. As soon as I sat down I told him I'm ready to order, so he came over immediately. I told him 1 small #1 and 1 small #16. Then he said as he jots down the order, 16... meatballs, I said yes, then he asked, 1 meatball 2 meatball? I was confused so I repeated my order. Then he asked louder, and I still didn't get it. Finally he raised his voice, so loud almost everyone in the store turned around to look at us. Then he pointed to the seat across from me, and I was like, oh two people yes. Then he let out this long exasperated sigh, threw his head into the air and walked away. I just stared at him in disbelief, what the hell was that?? I just couldn't understand his heavy accent that's all. I was extremly polite the whole time. I already gestured 2 people as soon as I can walked in, plus why would I order 2 bowls of noodles for myself?! Anyhow, he should not have raised his voice with me. That was just crazy!! Then the noodles came, and I was even more disappointed to find that the broth was not like what I'm used to getting in the past. I've been eating pho at this store for 25yrs, and what I had yesterday was not the same as what I gotten in the past. This place is back! They've worked a bit on much needed renovations. It's not a high end restaurant atmosphere, but it is repainted and better lit than a few years ago. Also, they have brought back the heavy duty cutlery which had been missing since the pandemic. The service is always lightning fast and the food is still very good. My only complaint is they served hot (warm) coffee in a cheap clear plastic cup designed for cold beverages. Probably should invest in appropriate cups for hot drinks. This is my favorite pho place of all time. I come here about every other week. The only thing they sell here is pho, drinks, egg rolls and spring rolls. They do all of it really well. Their pho has the best broth I have ever had. It is super flavorful. I couldn't recommend it more. For only $6.95 per bowl, it is the best deal in town. I found this place on Yelp based on reviews and distance. It was only a 15-minute drive, so I was happy. The parking lot was small and congested. It's a lot of business around this strip of stores. Luckily, I was able to find a spot by the door. This is definitely a hole in the wall spot. There are not a lot of decor or signs, but a kindly reminder at the door that THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH. Hey, ok. I'm glad I did my homework already and brought cash. There were a lot of people inside and all all I could see was eating and very little talking. I ordered the #17, I think. It was the large Pho with beef. This is my second time eating Pho, so I had to see how my friends were eating it. I ordered Summer Rolls and Spring Rolls, which I crushed first. I love the Hoison Sauce. The brother of the Pho was good. I did add my touches of the Siracha and some more Hoison Sauce to my liking. My two guests and I liked the food. Overall, it was good but not great. Would I ho again, yes I would. The price is right as well. The total bill was $51.00 for 3 people. I also had the Thai Tea. I liked it. I've been coming here for over 20 years and this spot has always been my go to/favorite pho place. I'm sure they must have changed management because I just ordered Pho and the broth was extremely clear and bland. Also, there was parsley instead of cilantro (cilantro is an essential ingredient in Vietnamese cuisine, especially pho!) I asked for cilantro, and they gave me a paper plate of chopped up parsley. I was in disbelief. I asked why is there parsley in my pho and the server responded that we are in the US, so we use "American Cilantro" which is parsley. This was super disappointing. I know this place since I first moved to the US 20 years ago. I don't mind their cash only policy, I have to accept that their service is fast and the food is good. One thing I notice the staffs are not that nice. But today, I experienced it myself. I came at 6:35pm with my husband. We thought that they're close at 7pm. The OPEN neon sign was already off but we still saw some customers eating inside. I was in a rush getting off from the car that we parked in front of the restaurant. Suddenly I saw one of the staffs who usually took order, got out from the dining area and waited for me in the waiting area. I opened the door and politely asked him if they were closed? He said with his mean face: READ THAT! while pointing out a paper notification posted on the glass window. I was surprised with his answer and insisted him to answer my question, so I asked him again: Are you closed? And he finally said, YES! He could answer my questions politely by saying: sorry we're close or something. I said to my husband who waited in the car, I won't come to this restaurant again. Probably the best pho I've tried in Rockville so far!! Do keep in mind that it is cash only, so make sure you bring enough for the food, tax, and tip! I went a few days ago, and the price of a small size pho is $9.75, and a large size pho is $10.75 if I remembered correctly. I'd say go ahead and pay the extra $1 for the large size...you won't regret it! I thought I wouldn't be able to finish a large since I wasn't all that hungry but it was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Service was great - they were quick to accommodate our large party of 12 people, the food came out quickly, and all our orders were done correctly - and this was on a Sunday at noon! I'm a pho 75 fan for life. I used to live in Arlington VA and this was a weekly staple for us. So glad that when I moved to Maryland, I got to keep enjoying the pho. I usually get the #11. Best pho in the DMV area. Cash only. My family's been coming here as long as I can remember (15+ years) and this is the most consistent, homey, and best-value meal I can think of. The pho comes out super quickly and is so heart warming, esp. when it's cold out. All the pho options are good. My family loves #2, #16 (meatballs) and I personally like #7. Get the large size, it's only like $1 extra. For under $8, the price simply cannot be beat. Something that stands out is that the side veggies (bean sprouts, mint, lime, peppers etc) are always super fresh and they actually dry them after washing, so they're crisp! Not soggy like other pho places I've tried. This place is family-owned, and the servers here are quiet and efficient -- don't expect extraordinarily notable service (as with any authentic Asian restaurant). The lady pointed to a table off in the distance and said "you - small table- you sit - small table" So I went to the small table- received the menu and saw blaring at the top that they were cash-only. I'm sorry... what is that? We're in the 21st century. There's about to be Amazon drones shipping orders. Ninety percent of people I know own a smart phone. Soon most people will own 3D printers... and you don't take credit cards?! It HAS to be a cost issue. I don't care.. just tack on the 50 cents to my bill. I don't even care. Just don't make me go pull out money from an ATM. But so many people told me that this was soooooooo good that I decided to hop to the 7-11 and pull out money from an ATM Overall, I thought the Pho was great. I been coming here forever and finally decided to write an review. Because my buddy came up from Mississippi and is a big fan of pho but he can't get anything good in Mississippi. This place is no frills and cash only. But if you came here for authentic pho you came to the right place. Why even bother to look at the menu just get item 1 everything in it big bowl for ~$8. And 2 egg roll or 2 shrimp rolls your choice but ideally both. Then to top it off sticky rice with black beans or corn pudding and condensed milk. So good and authentic. This is a pretty popular pho spot in Rockville. The only entree they serve is pho, they have a few appetizers and desserts on their menu, but unfortunately I have not tried anything aside from the pho here so I cannot speak on whether or not it is good. I ordered a small bowl of Pho Tai (pho with tender, thinly sliced beef). The staff here are super efficient, on my last visit my order came out in less than 5 minutes despite the restaurant being packed with customers. I really enjoyed my meal. The broth was flavorful, I was not skimped on toppings (green onions, cilantro, onions) and the noodle portion was huge. I had only eaten Pho maybe twice before coming to this place (both times were at Pho & Rolls in RTS which is now closed). On this visit to Pho 75 with Yelp folks, the Pho tasted real nice. I had the dark chicken noodle and when it came, I got lots of noodles, but only bits of the chicken. After a while, I just stopped searching my bowl, seeing there was not enough, but I enjoyed Thai Tea ($2.25) with my meal, so that took my mind off what was in my bowl. The Regular sized bowl filled me up and there were lots of leftovers. One lesson I learned is, if you order Thai Tea, get it with ice as my first round looked like Thai Tea (with ice), but my second round (which I got without ice) looked like Carrot Juice. They said it was because I mixed it, but to me, it was not as appealing the second time, but I still love me some Thai Tea. This place may now have to be my fallback for Pho now that Pho & Rolls is closed. It has great prices and great service too. read more

This location, in my opinion, is not as good as the other Pho 75 locations. It's fancier, but if you look closely, it's pretty beat up, but it is arguably fancier than the other locations upon first glance. I ordered my staple, number one large and an iced tea. It came our relatively quickly. I give it 3 stars because of a few reasons. 1) they forgot my iced tea, which I asked for again and eventually got. 2) there was a roach that crawled out of I don't know where, along the table, and then eventually to it's demise in one of my napkins. 3) the 4 slices of jalapeno 4) the broth seemed a little bland The roach really was the kicker. Quick service, simple menu, and cash only. Pho 75's menu is broken into a few parts - - The appetizers - fried egg rolls and the summer rolls. The menu states that both of the items have shrimp on it, so you're out of luck if you have a shrimp allergy. :( - The pho - they have many different kinds of beef pho, a veggie one, and a couple chicken ones. I'm used to seeing more seafood-type pho on the menu, but I didn't get much of that here. - The drinks and the desserts - thai iced tea, please! I got the large white meat chicken pho, and it was good. The broth wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be, but it was pretty great after adding a lot of sriracha to it. The large size was perfect to share with my daughter, and it had a decent amount of meat in it. I also tried the fried egg rolls, and they were alright. My son loved them, but I thought they were dry unless you add a lot of sauce to it. The service was similar to a typical pho place - quick, and you pay at the counter. You get seated, they take your order, your food comes out within 5 minutes, and you go to the cashier to pay for your meal, leave some dollar bills at the table, etc. I would be frequenting this pho place if it was a bit closer to me. read more

RUDE Male staff. Started removing our dishes with the snide remark of "I want to go home already". When I asked what closing time was he said "5 minutes ago". Their Google and Yelp pages, AND door sign show a 7pm close time on Sundays. He claimed they changed the time because of COVID. Then change your information, buddy. This restaurant used to be my childhood favorite. I was in the area visiting my family and decided to eat here to revisit some memories. It has been almost a decade so I was excited to see what it's like now. Unfortunately, it's not the same anymore and for the cherry on top, all the employees were rude the minute we walked in. We were greeted by a girl who tried to sit us in the middle and we asked if it's okay to sit closer to the window instead. She looked annoyed but also didn't answer and just stared at us. I didn't read the reviews before coming so when our drinks and food arrived, I was shocked to see the cups and plates were plastic and paper. Even the soup spoon was plastic. I noticed a sign in front mentioning they're understaff so we thought maybe they don't have a dishwasher, but based on the older reviews this has been going on for a while. An indoor dine in restaurant that heavily relies on disposable dish ware is a major red flag. If it's not because they couldn't find a dishwasher, then it's because they're trying to cut corners and go with the easiest/cheapest route. This makes me wonder what else they're trying to cut corners on in the kitchen. I wouldn't be surprised if they reuse some of the plastic cups because one of ours was wrinkly and looked used already. The older man who brought our food out was a strange one. My mom tried to be nice and help him but he just swat her hand away and yelled at us. The food quality changed, it wasn't terrible but it's not as flavorful as I remember. Their sriracha sauce was also watered down. If you're looking for an all around good experience, DON'T come here. First off, it's cash only. You can't even venmo them and the cashier had an attitude with me when I asked. Second, I know this place is a hole in the wall, but it's not clean or tidy looking. It's clearly an out dated interior, but that doesn't mean cleaning should be out dated too. We sat by the window and the curtains were splattered with a residue of some kind, and the napkin dispenser had dirt or dust of some kind as well. Can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. I think these guys are running a scheme to fatten profits....at the expense of the customers. I had ordered a bowl of pho and noticed they brought a separate bowl of onions. I thought it was weird given that onions usually come with the bowls but this is the first time I've seen onions come separately. I didn't think much of it until I paid for my meal. The lady cashier charged me for the large bowl plus a separate 75 cents for the "extra" bowl of onions. I never asked for extra onions and I think they are doing this to other customers as well as I noticed a few other tables with "extra" onions. I know ingredients and costs continues to rise for every restaurant and you have to make a profit but this is not how you do things. I'm also giving them one star because I actually ordered a small bowl of pho and they gave me a large AND charged for it. I immediately pointed this out to the waiter when the bowl came and he nodded his head and said "okay", as to imply he would fix the order. They obviously never did.
