Light, crisp and fresh ! That's how I would describe the atmosphere here . The feel is young and refreshing. They pay attention to detail in all they do, therefore service is spot on. Our server was so attentive, the water server was there exactly when we needed him. The hostess opens the entrance door for all. We felt totally cared for. Because of all the rave reviews I opted for the quail to start. In all honesty , it is not a reorder for me. The flavor of the dish was fantastic , however the quail was a bit dry and to boney. Yeah yeah yeah I know it's quail! It's small. Not enough meat for me. I took one bite and was done. Lol. The veggies in the dish I consumed. The Bun Combo was delicious! Full of flavor . I was so happy I ordered this dish. Instead of the rice noodles I subbed brown rice. Meats in the dish are shrimp, chicken and pork. The pork was off the charts delicious. Next time I'll order just the pork. The homemade fish sauce was so good , it was drinkable . My friend ordered the seafood pho and said the broth was terrific. This location use to be a good local American restaurant. Now it taken by the Vietnamese cuisine restaurant. The interior is beautiful and white. They also has the patio seating. We met a yelp friend here for dinner before the waffle event. We started the dinner with roasted quails. They did very good job on quail. They did control the cooking technique to prevent the quail meat get too tough or over cook. We also order summer roll for the appetizers. The roll's shrimp is big and combo with shrimp and pork. I got the beef deluxe pho. It has everything of beef items. The pho is sweeter. I think is more gear for American taste but still maintain the Vietnamese flavor. My wife got the Bun Bo Hue. We feel like this soup are not measured up to the Vietnamese standard. My friend has the grilled pork bun. He likes the taste. We also order the snow pea tip veggies. It is just average. Overall our experience is good. Price is in the high side. But at this location where not much of Vietnamese restaurant can be found is good for the business. read more

Kudo to the best and fastest service among Vietnamese restaurants in the area. However, some dishes may lack flavor or the broth may not be hot enough. I'm so excited to see a Vietnamese noodle place in South Tampa! Yes, I know that BT has pho, but sometimes, I don't want the super organic/gourmet pho. I want the oily, basic version that I've had at any number of noodle shops in Asia and California. Yes, I know that the best Vietnamese food in Tampa is on Waters Ave. But that's a long commute from my house. Enter Pho 813. They have all the traditional Vietnamese comfort food dishes (pho, beef stew with egg noodles, bun, bun bo hue, banh mi, rice dishes, egg rolls). Their prices are higher than what you'd pay on Waters, but you get to save that time and gas. I tried the (non-veg) egg rolls and the chicken and egg noodle soup so far. The egg rolls were nicely crunchy. I thought they were heavy on the lemongrass, but the dipping sauce neutralized it. The chicken soup was penicillin in a bowl, just pure comfort for a winter's lunch, full of fresh veggies and very chicken-y meat. You can order online from their website, but you'll have to pay in person for now (I hope that changes in the future). After placing my order, it was 10 minutes until the food was ready (coincidentally approximately how long it took for me to drive to the restaurant, so convenient!). The restaurant is newly done, very clean, and there's plenty of parking in the private lot. It looks like they have full liquor license, so in the post-vaccine world, I might return to eat a dinner and have a drink. I look forward to trying their pho and banh mi. read more

I've now eaten here twice. I've tried the Beef Pho, Chicken Banh Mi, Combination Bun, Pork Fried Rice, and Spring Rolls. It was all delicious and the portions are large! I get 2 meals out of each dish! My favorite so far was the Beef Phô. Very authentic and the broth was quite flavorful. Took it to go and it was packaged so well! I love a bunch of bean sprouts and basil and they had no problem giving me extra to make my pho perfect! The Bun is also fantastic! Fresh and tasty! I'm so happy a great Vietnamese place has opened in South Tampa. Vietnamese is one of my favorite foods and I've tried several places and just haven't found the right place to get great Pho and Bun in this area. Now I have! The restaurant is really pretty and the customer service is great. They literally hold the door open for you! Everyone was very nice and thanked us for visiting their restaurant. This place is the place to go for your pho. This is a very modern looking restaurant. The mural outside is a very good place to take a photo at. And the staff here is very friendly. The appetizers that I got was super good. The pork spring rolls was refreshing and delicious. The dipping sauce was something different than what I am used to. The quail was super good. It is fried to perfection. The seasoning on the quail makes you just want more. The bum bo hue was perfectly seasoned and spiced. I don't think it's too spicy, but just the right amount. One thing that took me by surprise is the fish cake. There was peppercorns in it so Some bite you'll get a sharp peppery taste. Love this place and highly recommend it. read more

Tampa needs Pho 813, especially South Tampa, there is no better option in the area for Vietnamese. Food: The Filet Vietnamese style was tender and a great value for 8 ounces of steak under $20. The flavors build on each other and all of the veggies were fresh, the plate was loaded with them. Lots of garlic and onions. Love the spicy lemongrass chili oil sauce. I tried Pho 813 with my friends who live in South Tamp tonight and I love love loved everything. Since I've been eating more vegetarian lately, they had lots of tasty options. The summer rolls were tofu and had a delicious peanut dipping sauce. The Vegetable and Tofu Pho was delicious and did not lack in flavor being vegetarian. The fried rice was delicious and my husband's favorite. This was one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Tampa and a place I will come back to. I got carryout from Pho 813 yesterday. I thought that the pho and my spring rolls were fresh and flavorful. Since I didn't eat there I don't know how the service was but the place looked nice and clean. I picked up my own food and noticed that parking was a little difficult. I got to try the bun bo hue and shaking beef. The bun bo hue was less spicy than other places but I still enjoyed the broth a lot. The vegetables it came with were fresh as well. The shaking beef was a bit of a disappointment. While the beef was cooked perfectly, I felt the sauce was too much on the sweet side. Driving past Pho 813 the exterior artwork definitely catches your eye, and the curb appeal alone convinced me to stop in for lunch. For a Saturday at lunch time there was a good amount of available seating. We decided to sit at the bar with the hopes of talking to the staff and getting a better feel for the restaurant. Unfortunately, none of the staff truly congregated behind the bar or socialized with us but that's ok. We ordered the grilled pork summer rolls at the advice of our server, which were good. The heat from the pork kind of warmed up everything else in the chilled roll... it tasted nice but next time I think I will stick with the classic chilled summer roll that includes shrimp. For mains we shared a chicken bun bowl and a vegetable and tofu pho with vegetable broth. I was thoroughly surprised by the variety of vegetables included in my pho! I am used to getting the basics like tofu, scallions, red onions, basil, mint, and bean sprouts, but enjoyed the accompaniment of bok choy, broccoli, and carrots. The broth on its own was extremely flavorful and light, but I added the side of hoisin and sriracha to take it to the next level-- which it 100% did. The bun bowl was delicious but carried a heavy grill/charred flavor, which my partner (whose meal it was) liked but I thought overpowered the dish and took away from other flavors. I am not a fan of blackened or charred meats so do with that information what you will. As much as I loved all of the food, my favorite menu item was the thai iced tea. It was probably the best I have ever had! For an appetizer, two entrees and a drink, the total was $42 and some change pre-tip. I left content and full, so all in all it was a good dining experience. Hubby and I decided manifest some soup for dinner being that it's 60° today in Florida. We are both Floridians and the cold weather always calls for soup So I got on yelp and set the Intention to find a soup restaurant that was aligned to us and our eating preferences. I asked my guides and highest of light energy to show me the way. Being that every decision/choice always works in my favor, no matter what it might look like in the moment, I trusted the signs and synchronicities and ended up at Pho813. There was plenty of parking and seating available inside. The decor was so bright and airy, made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. Our server wasn't the most personable server, but we weren't bothered by it at all. In actuality, he was extremely well at his job and I was impressed. Thank you for such laid back service. The food was just what our wellbeing needed! We tried the salmon summer rolls and wow! I'm not starting with the good things about this restaurant, because I want to warn potential customers about the NOT Good things. Good recommendations follow. Today is my 3rd visit. 1st visit was so blissful I couldn't wait to bring my daughter when she came to town. 2nd visit was with my daughter-we both loved it. Beef Pho, Shrimp Summer Rolls, Pinot Grigio. Today's experience will not be repeated, because I'll never return, even though the 1st two visits were positive. Previously when I ordered Beef Pho, I was served a saucer of delicious, fresh, quality, raw beef to place in my broth as I wished. This time, the beef was already in the soup. It was like shoe leather; like every other generic pho restaurant in town. When I mentioned the change to the server, he said customers have to request it raw. When I said I'd been served the fresh meat on my other visits, he told me that it was always served cooked, despite my experience. The more senior waiter at the bar confirmed that it was served cooked, despite my claims. I suggested they include that info on the menu, to which he insisted it had to be requested. Then the senior waiter/bartender had me sample the wine, which was unchilled (warm). I said fine, but I wanted a chilled wine. He said it'd take a few minutes. He then brought a glass of ICE to place in my wine glass! Their broth is one of the most delicious I've tasted. The summer rolls were fresh and delicious. But with today's experience of shoe leather with hot wine, I won't be back. If you choose to go-be prepared to insist on being served correctly. I don't care that my first 2 trips were positive; this experience completely erased the positive visits. This is absolutely an honest review. 2 stars for broth flavor, but just not worth the time and expense, given the negatives. 5 Hours Later: I have just "emptied my stomach" of my Pho 813 lunch. I certainly can't definitively say it was the food, or employee subterfuge, or a bug that just happened to appear soon after eating lunch. I started "that" feeling about 2 hours after my lunch. When you pay $18 for a bowl of duck soup toe expect they would at least know the basics of making it. First of all you make sure the skin is crispy, and you never submerge it in the soup. If you do, it will become a soggy mess. If you go to China town in NY, you see them carefully lay the just cut duck pieces on top of the noodles. This is really the only Vietnamese restaurant in Tampa so I wanted to like it, just for the convinience alone. After this one, you have to make a trek to Carrolwood or Town n country to get pho. And they get most things right. Service was on point. Ambiance is fine. Restaurant is clean. And presentation, forgetaboutit, it's outstanding. So why one star? The food is bland. The first time, I thought it was an anamoly. It looked so good but the broth was bland. Then I came back and got the vermicelli bowl with pork. Again, bland. I swore it off but gave it a third time and got the pho again....bland So in my opinion they get everything right but the food. If you're not a Vietnamese/pho connoisseur you might like it. You won't have much to compare it too and everything else is fine. But if you're a seasoned Vietnamese eater, then it'll leave much to be desired unless you're really desperate. read more

I had plans to come here for a while and finally made it. Parking is somewhat limited, but doable during low peak times. It's across from the TJ Maxx/Fresh Market shopping plaza on Henderson boulevard in South Tampa. At the time, the patio was not open due to being short staffed. A group of us ended up sitting at a larger seating in the back. This is definitely one of the better Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. The quality of the food was excellent! I suppose I must've started off with a bang by ordering their short rib entrée which was absolute fire! Their shrimp summer roll with that awesome peanut sauce was also tasty. Their red sangria which is on tap was refreshing. The prices are very reasonable. Sidenote: they have a rolling robot which sometimes serves tables, though they did have human staff serving tables also. South Tampa finally has the Vietnamese restaurant it's been lacking. Thank goodness for this place! The closest to its greatness is Pho Cali in Sarasota then the place by Waters. We live close by and have been wanting to try this place out and finally did! Perks- quick service and super fresh summer rolls. Star knock down- the entree came out in like 1 minute which made us think they weren't cooking everything fresh to order. We started with the pork spring rolls and they were really good: 4 small ones instead of 2 large ones which was a perk for us to be honest. Hot, tasty and came with some cold crunchy daikon which I liked. I ordered the shrimp summer rolls with peanut sauce as my main... DELICIOUS. They are a hassle to make at home and I really really enjoyed them. I had a side of Chinese broccoli to accompany and this was hot and fresh and came out a few minutes after everything else. Very tasty and cooked really well. I would definitely have this again and/or try the bok choy too next time. My bf had the chicken and rice entree and the rice was hot and flavorful. I was visiting the area for work and came across Pho 813. I'm a bit of a foodie and was looking for something unique that was not a chain. Let me say, Pho 813 did not disappoint! The food was phenomenal! I had beef pho (P2 I think it was on the menu) and it was spot on! I also got pork egg rolls which were sooo good! I have my all time favorite pho spot back home and this was on par! I will go as far to say that Pho 813 may have even been slightly better! The hot sauce that I was offered (the one that was not sriracha, although you could get sriracha if you wanted to) was amazing! If you like spicy, make sure you get that one (something oil) and pass on the sriracha! (There are only two options so they will know which one you're talking about if you ask. I can't recall the name of it.) In addition to the phenomenal food, the restaurant had a great, calm atmosphere and a wonderful staff! All very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Needless to say, I will definitely be back next time I am in the area. I will also be recommending Pho 813 to anyone I know that will be visiting the area. (Yes, it's that good!) If you're looking for delectable pho at a reasonable price, I can't recommend Pho 813 enough!
