We came on a Wednesday evening around 6, and there was no wait. We were seated quick. Super authentic vibe and atmosphere, that gives a glimpse of the Thai culture. Nothing fancy, but nice. As my wife is part Thai, we ordered some of our go to favorites. For drinks, we started with a Thai tea. I've had my fair share of Thai tea, and this one was good! So refreshing! For meals, we typically share a meal, but this time we couldn't decide between chicken pad Thai or beef Thai basil.. so we got BOTH! Portions were good! We ended up killin' the pad Thai, and saved the Thai basil for later. Pad Thai was very flavorful and the Thai basil had a nice kick. But we couldn't stop there! Whenever we see a menu with mango sticky rice, we just can't say no! We topped off our dinner with that! The mango sticky rice was so rich and delicious. One of the best I've ever had! I was in Tampa visiting family, and my mother wanted to go to Benjarong for Mother's Day. I'm usually up for a stir-fry, but I do know to make sure to ask that my food be prepared vegan. The ambiance is typical of strip-mall restaurants but still welcoming. We got vegetable spring roll and fried tofu to start, and my sister (who is mostly vegetarian) and I split the ginger tofu. My mom, my aunt, and my brother-in-law all chose noodle dishes with meat, so I couldn't taste them, but they liked their meals. We got the vegetable spring rolls, which came with plum sauce. It was a good appetizer, but nothing unique. The fried tofu was also good, but I wasn't a fan of the peanut sauce that came with it. I really liked the ginger tofu., but my sister says she would have preferred something a bit less intensely gingery. And I'm glad my sister and I shared because the portions are pretty generous. Everyone else had leftovers to bring home. It's not the best dining experience, but the food is good enough, and the service is courteous and attentive. Went here around 4:30 on a Sunday. It was empty and so it took awhile to get the attention of the staff but once they knew we were there, they were quite attentive. The place is very cute and has a nice ambience, with soft music playing and a cozy feeling. The staff even told us that the wood decorating the walks is Thai wood, imported from Thailand which is very cool! I got the Kee Mao (drunken noodles) with tofu and medium spice. Very nice flavor profile, the spice wasn't too spicy but was present and the texture of the food was good. Very good sized portion and excellent value. Even though we ordered off the dinner menu, it was a good price ($13 for tofu/vegetable/chicken/pork). Overall, I'd say this is a great Thai restaurant that warrants a return visit given the ambience, value of the meal and taste. read more

Have been here a few times now and wanted to give a proper review. We have been here mostly for lunch but we did come for dinner once. The dining room is very well decorated and normally has soft Jazz playing in the background. Very relaxed atmosphere. The staff are always helpful with the perfect amount of attentiveness. The food is very good. We are especially fond of the Panang Curry. This time I stepped out and tried something different. I got the duck. It was a great mix of tender well seasoned duck and a selection of vegetables. The portion was perfect and I left pleasantly full . I came here for lunch. The restaurant is decorated so beautifully. The walls are covered in ornate woodwork. It is so warm and inviting. The server was very friendly and helpful. I got the lunch chicken panang curry. The lunch portion comes with a cup of soup and a spring roll. I got the chicken and rice soup. It was very tasty as was the small spring roll. The panang curry was phenomenal! It had the perfect level of spice for me at the medium heat level. When we arrived 1:19 pm on a Saturday, there were four other guests there. We had a party of four as well. We were seated and given menus. It took approximately 10 minutes for our server to come back to take our drink order. Another 10 minutes to give our food order. And then it went downhill. We waited almost an hour for our meal. By this time we were the only ones in the restaurant. All the meals didn't come out together and then they did, they were like warm and pretty flavorless. I was so looking forward to good Thai food. I usually go to Thai sweet Basil about a mile North from this place but their portions have gotten alot smaller with a price increase. So I decided to try here a couple times to see the difference and if I got more "bang for my buck" the first time I ordered via DoorDash vegetable pad see ew, it had tons of veggies great taste and served hot and fresh with a generous portion. Today I decided to DoorDash the same vegetable pad see ew with the Kha coconut soup. No where on the menu does it say the soup would have tons of tomatoes and onions(hate tomatoes). Even the mushrooms seemed off. I could tell they definitely weren't portabello. For $7 I won't be buying that again. The soup had very little coconut flavor more lemon taste just blahhh...like it was just thrown together with left over onion/tomatoes they didn't want to waste. Wouldn't recommend it and waste of my money. The pad was tasty but had considerably less veggies compared to the first time I ordered the same exact dish. Recommendation to restaurant: Don't skimp the veggies if customer orders a vegetable dish. I still enjoyed every bite of the pad and would recommend. read more

My friend and I were looking for some Thai food to fill that spicy craving. Found this place on Yelp on decide to stop in. Place is small but pleasantly decorated. Service was nice and they offer a lunch special that comes with a mini egg roll and bowl of soup. I got the Thai basil with chicken extra spicy and a Thai iced coffee with boba. My food was delish not as spicy as I was hoping but still full of great flavor. I had panang, and they went very light on the sauce, Not nearly enough to cover the limited amount of rice they provided. Wifey had green curry - same conclusion. Not enough sauce. Mid-meal we saw our server walk outside for about 5 minutes, and when she returned it became very obvious what she did while outside. Each time she came to our table, she smelled like an ashtray. Very gross. Never saw her wash her hands when she came back in. Bottom line: It isn't anywhere near as good as it used to be. We both agreed that it was very likely our last visit. Dinner for three, the menu has all of the fan favorites. Appetizer was shrimp tom yum soup (tangy and sweet, quite good) and fried tofu. My pad Thai portion was generous and pretty good, though a little less flavorful than I prefer; a little fish sauce and a lime wedge would have gone a long way. I also asked for spicy and it was at most mild. Still, it was a good meal overall, and our waitress was very friendly. My wife's pad kee mao had that great basil flavor that I love in the dish. Came in on the weekend for lunch. We were the only customers! The staff is really pleasant and welcoming. Very attentive to their customers. Hubs got the garlic and black pepper chicken and I got the ginger chicken. Loads of flavor and the chicken is so tender. I did enjoy the garlic and black pepper chicken a bit more than my ginger chicken. We also got the seaweed soup which was also very good. Highly recommend this place! We found this place on Uber Eats after the Covid started, so I can't attest to the inside of the place, but we have ordered from Benjarong many times and are always pleased with the food we get. Our favorites are the Pad Thai and the Krab Rangoon. The curries are also delightful. And when you ask for spice, they don't shy away from it like many other Thai restaurants.
