Love their Pho! It's one of my hubby's favs. Pho is what we do any time we are not feeling well. It's our one go to that almost instantly makes ya feel better. They always accommodate our needs when we ask for uncooked noodles, so we can actually bring the Pho home to eat. When I told the owner this is my husband's medicine, she gave us extra broth that he was able to use for the next day. She was wonderful! There is absolutely no place on Whidbey Island that you can get Pho. I so wish Pho 84 would come to the Island, so my hubby could enjoy it regularly. read more

Was in the Lynnwood area and it was a chilly morning so I decided to drop by. Pho is just so hearty when its cold outside. The broth was flavorful and super warm and comforting. I got a small but the portion size was still generous. The beef was nice and thin as well as the tripe pieces. I also got a side of fried spring roll. It didn't come with the usual fish sauce on the side, had a different sauce that I dont prefer but it was still crispy and hot. Pretty decent place for pho. read more

Lots of good protein, correctly cooked noodles, and garnish. However, I must have showed up on a bad day, as the broth was nothing like other reviews. It was like 5 spice water since it didn't really have and beef flavor and it was almost clear. After adding my usual accompaniments it still tasted one dimensional. My wife, daughter and I love coming here. It's the best pho we've ever had, and we've tried a lot of different places. We always get the shrimp spring rolls with the peanut sauce, and sometimes the chicken egg rolls. Both are amazing. The broth in the pho is perfect. I especially like the brisket that has a tiny bit of fat on it. The coffee smoothies are delicious and have always given me a big energy boost. The people are always so sweet and generous. There is very few places that offer more than just tofu for vegan options. This place also has imitation meat, which adds more flavor to the pho. The person that rung me up was happily & friendly, even during this epidemic. I usually rate the spring rolls by the peanut sauce, and it was ok. Service here was not that great, had to chase down the employees each time we wanted something. They seemed to be oriented towards takeout. The pho was really good for a restaurant that does not specialize in pho. Their bean sprouts and basil was very fresh but we were given lemon instead of lime. It was not expensive at all, very cost efficient. The bun rieu was lacking in the bun rieu flavor. Was quite fishy and salty. Wished there were more tomatoes in it, and more legit crab meat inside. Alrighty, then. The Lynnwood pho mafia has made another capo. Before we begin, a point of housekeeping: I don't understand why this place is called Pho 84 when it's on 68th and 196th, but, then, I am no mathematician. Anyway, it's another little gem in a strip mall in south snohomish county. In short? A clean and tidy vietnamese place with good pho, good prices, and a long menu with a lot of hot entrees in addition to the soup. You walk in and you see a ton of sparklingly, maybe even glaringly, clean plastic surfaces everywhere. I mean, mirror shine on the tables, which have that fairly convincing wood grain veneer going on. Despite the predominance of synthetic materials, it's a very warm and welcoming setting. You know they took it seriously and got a full-on business loan for the whole thing stem to stern, it's not just thrown together. Best of all, you're not paying extra for the pho, even though you get to eat it in a clean dining room where everything matches. So you sit down and you see no rooster sauce and no chili paste. The chili sauce they do have looks housemade, tastes pretty good, packs a decent punch. Nice menu; 6 pages of various delights including a bunch of stuff I'll come back to try for the first time in my life. But tonight I got my vietnamese noodle soup on. There's a big flat screen above the table there; it was showing swimming. Men's swimming at that. Combine this with the fact that I recognized a Muzak version of a Broadway song on the stereo, and you can safely say that I was not feeling too macho while I waited for my soup--men's swimming and show tunes. Yeah. Actually, back to how clean this place is...I easily watched swimming in the reflection on the table and it looked almost as clear as the flat screen. So, it turns out swimming is just as interesting upside down as it is right side up, and you can follow the competition just as well ("oh, look, someone I've never heard of appears to be slightly ahead.") So I have Pho 84 to thank for giving me a new perspective on sports. GET IT? New perspective? 'Cause it was upside down? Yeah. Finally, I quit fidgeting and noticing everything when the soup arrived. Pretty good. Broth was a little tangier than some, almost tomato-y. A bit salty. And definitely super-rich. There seems to be a school of pho that leans toward a sweeter, richer broth, and I am more a fan of the savory, seasoned variety, but this was good. Fresh meats and condiments, plenty of flavor. Noodles were getting a tiny bit soft by the time I stirred everything in, but, seriously, this is a perfectly great bowl of beef pho. Service was friendly, setting was nice, prices were fair. It's a little out of my way, but I am glad it's here and I'll happily come back again and again when I'm not driving by three--THREE--other awesome pho places on the way here (which I have to do if I come straight here from my house). read more

This place is go good, I signed up for yelp just so I could give them a raving review. To be fair, I always get the vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and fried eggroll. It is so good. So very good. Where to start? The fried eggrolls may be the best I've ever had. Always pipping fresh, dense with filling, crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor. The grilled pork is tender, juicy, bursting with lemongrass marinade flavor, and freshly grilled. These choice morsels are served on top of rice vermicelli, shredded lettuce, and a bright assortment of fresh herbs. All with a sweet fish sauce dressing to pour over everything. YUM. One of these days I'll order something else, but for now I'm deep in the vermicelli bowl trance. There are lots of other tasty sounding things on the menu, including rice plates and of course many varieties of pho. I'll get there.... This is one of the older Vietnamese restaurants in Lynnwood and caters to mostly Edmonds Community College students due to its proximity to the campus. This joint sits in an older strip mall that also houses a 7-Eleven and consignment shop. Also, this is one of the very few pho places that is open from 10:30am (closed Sunday). Because it is close to a small 2-year college, this place has a rather curious attraction to obnoxiously loud speaking Chinese students. The Cantonese language tends to sound like people are yelling at each other for no good reason-- just my observation. As for the pho dac biet ($6.85 for a large bowl), again... you get what you pay for. A below-average price gets you a very thin broth (pork or chicken), fatty cuts of beef, one... ONE tendon slice, and some mini-strips of tripe. Table condiments are limited to unlabeled squeeze bottles of oyster sauce and Sriracha. Service was quick and to the point, as was the paying of the bill. The dining area is basic with porous ceiling tiles and mirrors on the back walls to simulate a larger acreage than it really is. The place seats about 40 and was about 30% capacity at 11:30am. As a note... it is the broth that makes or breaks a pho. Then, it is the ingredients that determine the quality of the pho dac biet. While the ingredients were there (in minimal quantity), the broth base was the thinnest I have encountered in this Everett-to-Shoreline area. And, that's why this place gets only 2 stars from this reviewer. read more

This is THEE best vegetarian pho I've ever had *and I've tried a lot of pho* tried this place when we first moved to Seattle because we saw they had vegetarian pho, and actually put more than just vegetables! They have a bowl with "chicken" "beef" and tofu, super flavorful, with the veggies chopped up to an eatable size instead of tree like chunks of broccoli. Usually paying for vegetarian pho is paying for broth broccoli and carrots...but this bowl actually provides bang for your buck :) Not to mention, the owner is super nice! Great family owned restaurant with the best vegetarian bowl (also the spring tofu rolls are amazing) so worth every penny. Love this place!!! read more
