I ate here last night and I've actually been here once years ago. I didn't come back because I found a Pho 99 closer to me. However, that Pho 99 in Lynnwood became a Pho 44 (due to ownership changes I'm sure) and I'm most likely never going back there again. Anyway, I fell in love with the pho here and this will most likely become one of my go-to spots. Quick little story: I was feeling nauseous and I had just thrown up hours prior. Basically, I found myself feeling sick to my stomach (pun intended) and I couldn't stomach anything! I finally decided to get some pho and this place did not disappoint. I felt so sick but after a few sips of the soup and the complimentary tea, I felt soooo much better. They saved me from my misery. The soup itself is so flavorable and delicious. I usually have to season pho with some hoison sauce and sriracha, but this one didn't need any of that! The meat was also tender. The noodles were my favorite. I am usually not a fan of rice noodle but they cooked it just right. It wasn't too hard, too soft but just the right amount of chewy. I ordered a small and it was the perfect size. Thank you yelp for leading me to this place after shopping at costco. The bf and I were the first customers in here as it was barely 11 (they open at 10:30) and it was cold so we were craving soup. We both ordered #12's (pretty much pho w/ everything) and an order of the spring rolls. I hadn't told my bf about the lychee water yet, but he was surprised and happy when he saw the two lychees in his glass. I must admit, I was also curious to this famed "lychee water" which solidified my decision to come here. It was good. A bit sweet, refreshing and I like how they give you TWO lychees. +1 already. Our food came out quickly. The spring rolls were large, fresh, and solid. Nothing too special, but overall satisfying. Our pho was very tasty, I thouroughly enjoyed the broth and finished every last drop of my soup. I think compared to other places my boyfriend and I have gone for pho this place is my favorite specifically for pho. They get the flavors right. One of my biggest annoyances when I get pho with steak is that the meat sometimes has huge chunks of fat still attached that end up floating around in the broth. I've never had that problem here. The lychee water is also AMAZING and they give you the first glass for free. (be wary, you do get charged for refills.) We usually also get some spring rolls which are pretty run of the mill, not bad but nothing special. I'd say the ambiance is a little lacking - it's just a smaller more cramped restaurant and for some reason they have a problem controlling the heat in there? The last time we went we were eating hot soup in a sweltering hot room, sweating. It was kind of silly. Staff could probably be a bit friendlier also not that anyone has ever been rude, just standoffish. Watch out for hidden fees (like using a card at the register.) read more

Super tasty and hidden, Pho 99 has some of the best Vietnamese bbq that I've ever tasted. I had a memory of the free lychee water as a kid and went back because of a short rib craving and oh boy did it scratch that itch. So tasty and good. Will certainly go back again. read more

The best ever My favorite is crab noodle soup with extra extra long donut! Please DO NOT limit your order to tradational pho, but try everything on the menu! I also recommand vietnamese crepe and special rice from special menu. I tried their chicken soup when i had cold and didnt want american (urgh) chicken noodle soup. The soup came with alot of veggie and helped me get better. I've experiemented with their menu just about everything from chicken teriyaki to curry beef and they are all good! I mean who expects to order chicken teriyak or chowmein from pho place? But they are all good. Wonton soup is good too. Only dish i didnt like was bamboo duck soup and catfish soup, but thats just personal opinion. It is very very divey restaurant, but quite pricey if you expect typical neighborhood pho restaurant. I consider Pho'99 a good vietnamese restaurant, and the price seem very fair for food quality and portion. It's really good. Pho 99 is just a 5 minute walk from my house and I'm asking myself why I've been driving down to Than Brothers for the last year. It's definitely a hole in the wall kind of place but worth a visit! Parking is somewhat limited out front, but if you can't find a spot theres also a lot behind the building. Onto the food! Their appetizer selection is limited, but we decided to go with the pork egg roll. This isn't a big fat egg roll that you're used to from chinese restaurants. You get 3 smaller egg rolls and they are tasty! Would certainly recommend these. Along with our appetizers we had the hot tea and lychee water. What a cool idea. In terms of the soup itself, both the well done beef pho and chicken pho were great. Their broth's are wholesome and flavorful. Your given an option of large or small. The small is probably enough for anybody and the large was hard to finish. They are generous in their serving sizes. I would say the food itself is 4* but the service itself left some to be desired. Don't expect a refill of your lychee water or the waiter to come ask how your meal is. I feel like these types of restaurants usually have a similar approach when it comes to service. They bring everything out to you when you arrive then don't see you again until you pay your check. If you go in anticipating this I think you'll have a positive experience. Worst service ever. I ordered 4 dishes and they only gave me 3. After calling to double check their answer was "oh we forgot". I got there picked up my order, when I got home it was the wrong order. There's plenty of places I'd recommend you guys go to with better food prices and customer service. They won't confirm what you have over the phone and they're quick to rush you in and out without making sure you have all your food even after asking them. The food was good, but it's kind of hard to enjoy it when they have the public health rating on the wall and it says "okay". It made me wonder how clean the kitchen is? Service is slow. There weren't many customers there, so I'm confused as to why my bowl of broth and noodles took more than 30 minutes? I've never had that problem while ordering pho....
