New to the area and not an expert in pho, but it is my comfort/go to food. We ordered here the other week for the first time, chicken pho and beef pho. The broth in my chicken pho was VERY sweet and the noodles had kind of a harder texture. I unfortunately wasn't able to finish it. My husbands beef pho had tripe in it, which he wasn't expecting. I was pleasantly surprised with the food quality here! It was soooo much better than Pho So 1. Cha gio was good and crispy. They gave us lot of lettuce to wrap the cha gio! Pho Xe Lua was a B+ and I would definitely return to have another hot pho! Broth was good and tasty. We also ordered com bi cha suon nuong. It was a B+ as well! Overall, I was very satisfied and their prices were very reasonable. Staff was nice and friendly! Store seems clean enough. Utensils could be cleaner in my opinion. After you finish your meals, you can pay at the cashier. Parking is easy to find. They do play old vietnamese music and 1990's English songs in the restaurant though! After a long drive from Vegas and having only stopped to stretch and relieve ourselves, Pho 999 was a welcome final stop before heading home! The place is pretty spacious, not that busy when we came, it's a tad cold though as all fans and the AC I think was at full blast! Anyway, we know exactly what we want and ordered Pho Dac Biet, I have to say the food came pretty quick as if they were expecting us! The broth was really nice, hot and tasty not to mention the generous amount of meat that went with it (brisket, tripes and something else) the side of sprouts, basil and jalapeno came on the side served in a giant platter - needless to say, I was pretty happy! We also ordered their egg-rolls which to my surprise was exceptionally good! Unlike the egg-rolls I've tasted, theirs was jam packed with stuffing and not just all wrappings! I also liked the pickled veggies that came with it - delicious! Overall, I am very happy with this place and their Pho! I've been intensely craving pho for weeks now, and with summer seemingly never ending I just couldn't wait for a chilly day to enjoy a delicious bowl of chicken pho. I ordered via Door Dash a chicken pho and a flank steak pho. I had to run to the grocery store to pick up some Kikkoman Gluten Free Hoisen sauce for my boyfriend (who is recently gluten free). I set the pickup time for 5:20pm. I got the alert it was ready at 5:00pm. This isn't really a huge deal, I mean it's just soup so I'm not worried. When I arrive at Pho 999 the woman inside has absolutely no idea what I mean by, "I'm here to pick up an order." She is just so confused and the see my order sitting on a table so I point to it and tell her that is mine after she tells me she didn't get an order by my name. Again no big deal I'm patient, not upset it's just a language barrier and/or maybe she didn't even get the order and someone else took care of it. We both have a chuckle and I'm on my way. The real issue is when I get home and my boyfriend and I begin eating. My chicken pho was good, not the best but mediocre. 3 stars. My boyfriend's; the flank steak pho had a very large noodle like thing with offshoots of other noodle like things with small bumps all over in his soup with a huge piece of fat and gristle. He gets flank steak pho as that is his pho of choice and this is the first time anything even remotely similar to this has been in it. It was extremely off putting for both of us and he ended up just throwing his pho away. We asked for a refund on only the flank steak but of course Door Dash is giving us the run around. Fantastic pho! I finally found some pho that reminded me of my days growing up near Little Saigon in Orange County. I ordered #7 and it came with generous meat portions. I had big chunks of tendon, the flank steak was tender and well- trimmed. The meat quality was better than more expensive places near Ventura Blvd and Woodman. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. Lots of rice noodles. The broth was legitimately rich and made in house. It was a perfect! Next time, I'll ask for noodles on the side. I had to order extra broth. Portions are huge. It took we 3 sittings to finish it. Parking was okay in the crowded lot. I'm not one who needs to park at the entrance. I immediately found a spot in the middle second row. My wait wasn't long at 12:30pm on a Monday. I signed my name on the board. Reviewed the menu, then went to wash my hands. Came back and 2 minutes later I was seated. I ordered a brisket and rare steak pho From this Vietnamese place I was trying via Postmates, and it was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. But I'd like to Kament mainly on the freshness of the ingredients of the pho: The thin sliced meat, rare steak and brisket was very tender. And the vegetables were scallions and mint leafs were so crispy and fresh The dish came with rice noodles, and a delicious broth perfectly seasoned not too salty at all. Solid pho in the valley. If you live in the valley you know that this place is a desert for good pho. I tried pho so 1 since it had so many good reviews and it was also conveniently located next to 99 ranch for post grocery snackage but no, just cross the dang street. Pho 999 is 999% better in every way. The broth is solid, noodles solid, spring roll solid. We tried ordering bun bo hue off menu and although the chefs were kind enough to give it a go, it just didn't hit the flavor mark for us. We appreciated the effort and willingness to try though. Even though everything was take out only, the packaging was solid, no spills or anything missing. They also included mini sriracha and mini hoisin sauce packets which was really cute and helpful.
