Lemon Grass Chicken Plate ( Com Gà Nướng Sả )
Linda M.

So sorry but my dish was so bad lol. I didn't get pho I got one of my second favorite viet dishes which is lemongrass chicken. It was cold, the sauce was bland, i dont know it was just so "cafeteria". I was having a long day and starving and this made me so sad lol. The thing is IT LOOKS SO GOOD!! BUT I don't think I'll be back here. My fiancé said he loved his pho bc he's been here before só his expectations were set lol. Maybe mine were too high.

Ordered pick up the other night! They did get our order wrong, by adding an extra item but it could've been a miscommunication. The pho was good but I 100% recommend eating there than taking it home. I LOVED the salted fried shrimp ugh that was amazing. Definitely swing by for some truely good Pho!!! Cute little small shop that gets busy!!!

Beef Combo Pho ( Đặc Biệt Xe Lửa )

I enjoyed the pho #1 combo. The broth was light and flavorful. The large portion was big enough to satisfy. I also had spring rolls which were adequate but unremarkable. I have been eating at the pho place across the street but I think I may switch to this has my main pho place for a while.

Marinated Chicken with special rice

I've been going all a lot of the Pho places in the area and thought this place nearby would be a good choice based on other ratings. However it did not live up to those ratings. The service wasn't the best and the food matched. When the waiter came to our table they stood behind me and didn't say anything so I had no idea they were waiting to take our order. I ordered the Marinated Chickenw ith fried rice. The chicken, while it had good marinade, was dry and over cooked. The fried rice also tasted unusual. My companion similarly wasn't thrilled about their order either. I rarely leave a place without eating most of my food or asking for the leftovers to go, here we simply left the food on the plates. When I went to pay I had to wait around for a while despite a large number of the staff just sitting out in the restaurant eatting oranges that sellers from outside came in and tried to sell to the restaurants customers. I don't expect anyone on their break or lunch to stop and get up to let me pay but I would expect that someone would've flagged down whoever was still on the clock to help me out.

If you're wanting tasty and authentic experience. This is the spot. Eggrolls are 10/10 Broth 10/10 Serving size are great. Service is top notch and very quick Good music playing in the background. Would definitely return.

After driving around Beverly Hills with my client, she decided to stop by here for some late lunch. According to her, this place has been here forever. I have been here once and it looks still the same. It needs a lot of work to spruce up the place. I recommended the beef combo or rare steak pho but my client ordered the chicken pho and she was not happy about it. She still finished the pho though. But made sure to herself that she will not order it again. It's not tasty enough. Servings are generous. Quick service. During the visit, customers were in and out but there is always a table or two available. Plenty of parking space that is shared with the other businesses.

Their food and price is good. I have order beef soup with eggroll The egroll wasn't cook on fresh oil In addition, their service is a little stressful and that's why I will give them 4 start instead of five

#1 Pho combo Pork Egg Rolls (5) (Phn Ch Gi) Spring Rolls (2) (Gi Cun)

This is my go to spot for pho or one of them. Most of the time it's solid. Decent tasting. Sometimes it's a little not so warm or hot. This was one of those times. Pho #1 was tasty per usual. Mixed meats of rare, fatty and lean cooked brisket. Tendon and tripe come in it too. The broth is tasty. Not too fatty but not lean. Just right. Fried egg rolls are decent. They changed up the wrapping as this one doesn't bubble up. Served with some wrap lettuce carrot cucumber and jicama. Spring rolls were large. Lots of lettuce. Cold pork or beef I think. The sauce is a bit thin but I think they give you too much of it. Instead of watering down the sauce and giving a lot why not give half of the portion but don't thin in it out. Service is quick. Usually done by a very old man. After they get your order and serve it they don't ever go back. This is common for other places.

My favorite!! E. Ca Kho To ... catfish stewed, with green onions . Hands down every time I come in this is my order. I wanted to try different dishes, but I'm a creature of habit...the only thing with this dish is it will take about 15 to 20 minutes before your order comes. And it's worth it.

Tyson was amazing. Loved every minute here. I always get treated with great service when I'm here and the food is always just as good. The avocado boba is fire too lol

It took a while for them to take our order. There is a language barrier. The food was so so. They clean up the tables by banging the dishes. When it's time to pay the guy had an attitude, secondly they charge you more so you have to pay attention and when you bring up the mistake he gave a pist off look and in the end still didn't fix the up charge. I have to warn you guys just always check your bill. Not friendly here. This is my first time here. I usually go to the newly opened Pho So 1 on Chatsworth & Zelzah in Granada Hills or Balboa & Devonshire. Won't be back here again. The pho size is small. Frustrating to order and they don't understand you.

My husband got the red curry and it was fun to compare the flavors. Both were absolutely delicious! Their brown rice is also some of my favorite, I don't know what it is. It just tastes more hearty than regular brown rice. We had the shitake satay appetizer and it was good, but not sure I would order it again. The vibe here is intimate and chill. We recently came here for a casual date night cause the ambiance is pretty cozy. It's also great for families! For not being vegan, I love their food so much. The veggies just taste so fresh and everything is so healthy. They can get busy so service can be slow at times, but the waitstaff is very nice. This is definitely the spot to take your veg friends if you are trying to impress them with plant based dining options in the Valley.

I haven't even finished my meal and I had to come and tell you all how good it is…read more This is my 3rd time to this restaurant and next time I think I'll eat there for the experience. Usually I have a Bahn Mi but today I was craving Pho. My go to Pho spot is a little bit of a drive and I was looking for something in walking distance. No regrets. Today I had the Oxtail Pho + Vietnamese Coffee which ended up being about $28 and worth every penny. Let me tell you I am just so grateful for how delicious is but almost sad i've almost eaten it all. Let's begin with the location. Parking is tight but one thing about Lankershim/Magnolia is the side streets is your friend. Don't stress about parking bc you will find it. Inside the restaurant is very very cute, they have indoor and outdoor seating. Today they had Michal Jackson playing. Big fan! Big fan! The portion size is just right for me. It had enough to fill me up for one sitting and a little left over when my tummy settles and i'm ready for more. The broth is soooo yummy, I can't even explain it. Idk whose grandmother passed that recipe down but I love her. Now let's get into the actual Oxtail. wow, it was actually the biggest oxtail piece I think I have ever had in my life and it was so good. I am going to attach a photo bc this isn't regular Pho baby this herrrrr! (excuse the chunks I bit out, I realized it was so good I needed to tell yall ) They must love me and knew I needed this comfort meal bc there was a few pieces in there. Thank youuuuu Anywho, whether you're by yourself, on a date, with family or friends I definitely suggest checking them out. And you better be nice too bc I think it's family owned, they're lovely. Enjoy!

Instead of a…read moresimple, courteous explanation, I was immediately met with a dismissive tone and asked, "What are you doing here?"--as if I had done something wrong by walking in. I was then told their "last call" had been at 8:30, a policy that is neither clearly communicated nor reflected in their listed hours. To be clear, I have no issue respecting a restaurant's cutoff time. Had I known there was a strict last call policy, I would have gladly adjusted my arrival. What made this experience unacceptable was not the refusal of service, but the way it was handled--with visible irritation, a sour expression, and a complete lack of basic hospitality. Restaurants, especially in a competitive dining landscape, should understand that customer experience extends beyond the food. A one-minute difference should not be treated as an inconvenience worthy of attitude or condescension. This interaction reflected poorly on the establishment as a whole.

The service personally wasn't the greatest and that's why I gave it a 2 star. There were only 2 lady workers running the show for 18 tables I think I counted. Which had a Hispanic male in the back and I was like this is not authentic pho. I was cold and I asked if I could not sit by the door and she told me no. They took forever to bring utensils and napkins. The ambiance was casual and okay. At the end when I was almost finished with my pho I notice two Asian men came in and the lady knew them but gave them a huge table and they did not order food or anything which I was like damn that sucks. I'm cold sitting next to the door and they walked in and got a nice sitting. And I knew if I brought CAREMAL kisses she would have not liked the meat it was chewy and the texture was a bit weird. And this is coming from me so I know she had a part that she left on me to be detailed about the taste and texture because I wouldn't have said anything before meeting her. I would come again just to see if I get the same experience but I hope I don't and I would come back.
