One of the better pho joints in DFW. Quick and delicious. Staff manages costumers in and out especially on busy times. I've been there many times when busy and always get seated. Pho always comes out fast and there is always someone there to refill drink. Place is not the nIcest looking,which may draw some off. That's why only 4 stars in my opinion. Tried coming here on a Wednesday for lunch with a co-worker, only to find out they're closed! Major sad faces in the car. We ended up here on Friday to hopefully redeem our last pho adventure in Denton... and so happy we found this place! Service was quick and attentive. We were in and out in about 40 minutes-- that included apps and large pho bowls! The prices are pretty similar to other pho restaurants I've been at... very affordable. Good food, lots of food, at a great price. Review is based mainly on pho. Crab Rangoon- Smaller and a different look to what we were used to. They were little triangle pockets made from layers of wanton sheets. Not a whole ton of filling, but pretty good according to co-worker who is basically a Crab Rangoon expert. Shrimp Spring Roll- Like every other viet place... delicious. I prefer their filling and peanut sauce over Viet Bites. Pho- They have way more options for pho here than at Viet Bite. We found exactly what we wanted. The Rare Steak for co-worker and my combo of steak, tripe, flank, and tendon. Both large bowls were only $7.99 each. AMAZING. Broth was not oily like Viet Bites and the flavor was there. Definitely something we look for when we have pho. This one has been a long time coming. I really like this little place in the Lake Cities area. I've been here more times than I can count. In fact I'll be going today which reminded me to write this review. I always get the Large Pho with Rare Steak, Brisket, and Flank Steak. The combination never disappoints. My son had several rice combination dishes and he has always enjoyed it. The Broth is very tasty and you can tell that it's been simmering for a while, with a very Beefy but not over powering taste. This is a hard review to write. I should have talked to the owners, but we were in a hurry. As a number of people have said, the food is great! I just loved the roast pork spring rolls - bursting with great flavors! My pho was delightful. The waitress was a real treat - prompt, efficient and friendly - all I could have asked for. The decor was strip mall restaurant modern, but that's fine. I'm really just there for the food. If something doesn't get in the way of the food, it doesn't bother me. It's not like this is a haute cuisine place with waiters in tuxedos and white linens on the table, It's good food at a great price. Or, great food and a good price. And that's more than merely fine. So, why 3 stars instead of 4 or 5? The first thing I smelled when we walked in was what I took to be a Scentsy air stinkifier. It turned out to be a Glade stinkifier. Bad stuff! On the way to the restaurant, I'd filled the car's gas tank and my hands smelled like gas. So, I went to the restroom to wash the gas smell off. Between the "air freshener" that had been overused in the restroom and the stinky chemically floral soap, my hands smelled worse when I left the restroom than when I went in. Different, but worse. The smells reduced my enjoyment of the food. At a restaurant, the only thing I want to smell is food. Not stinkum sticks. Not soap residue. If a restaurant smells bad, that's reason to not go in - the quintessential early warning system. If we hadn't seen such great reviews on Yelp, we wouldn't have gone in. We'd have wondered, "what are they covering up?" Please owners, get unscented soap for the bathrooms and lose the "air fresheners". If you air isn't fresh, please address the problems that are causing unpleasant odors. I hope to come back and give this place the 4 or 5 star review it deserves. read more

They get 2 stars because the food is slightly above average average and the service when you eat inside is very good. I won't be back there because we have ordered carry out 2 times now and they shorted items from our order. The food is not cheap and when you pay $68 you expect to get everything. The first time they shorted us an order of steamed dumplings and I just let it go. The second time they shorted us 2 orders of vegetable rolls. I told my daughter to call but she forgot and called a few days later. They found out $68 order but they decided since it had been a few days they would not make it good. Buyer beware !!! I would live here if I could. I ordered beef pho, shrimp spring rolls (2), and a chicken bahn mi all for around 15 dollars which was a pretty good deal if i don't say so myself. The spring rolls were a good size, the vegetables tasted fresh and the peanut sauce bright everything together. I usually don't like peanut sauce, but theirs had such a smooth taste. I ate them in 5 minutes flat they were delicious. If I had enough room, I would've ordered two more! The bahn mi was a little lackluster. They don't pickle the carrots and ginger as long as other vietnamese places and it isn't stuffed with enough filling to make it an adequate sandwich, which is probably why it is listed under the appetizers. Still, it tasted good with the leftover peanut sauce I had. The pho was the star. Very rich and nice cuts of meat. The broth was hot and fragrant and I can see why the vietnamese consider this is comfort food. The two women working there were sweet and seemed genuinely happy to bring my food and take my order. Finally found a Viet Restaurant that I like. My husband loves the Pho Combination here, he said the broth has a lot flavor and the noodle taste so fresh. I had shrimp fried rice and it was sooo good! Even my kids loves the foods here, they are the most picky eater and I was so surprised they ate on their own and finished their whole plates. I live in Denton, and there aren't any good Vietnamese places around, so automatically this one gets extra points for closeness. The menu is great and offers a good selection of Vietnamese food, but I always get Pho the first time because that's generally my base for judgement. It didn't disappoint. Delicious, flavorful broth, and decent portions of meat. They did skimp a little on the sprouts/basil but the service was great and our waitress offered us another plate. I felt like the service was really good, as well. The waitresses seemed really busy but they always came over to check on us and refilled our water (one time she actually was so deft that we didn't notice she'd topped off our cups until 5 mins later). We also got a combination rice plate and it was delicious. The grilled pork and shrimp were so good. I thought the egg was a little too well done but... I mean.. No bigs, man. Im so glad we gave this cute spot a try. Friendly staff, quick service and the lunch special all week! App, drink and meal is perfect. If you're trying to keep it healthy, I highly recommend the grilled chicken spring roll with a small bowl of white meat chicken noodle bowl. I keep my noodles on the side. My family and I stopped here on the way to our destination in Dallas. My toddler is very picky and will only eat three things - nuggets, sausages, and "noodle soup". If my son had not picked this restaurant I would have walked out. As soon as we entered the restaurant an unpleasant smell hit us. The food came out way too fast to be freshly prepared and it tasted as if everything had been on a steam table or reheated in a microwave. The aesthetics were poor as boxes are everywhere.
