The portion size was just right, plenty of noodles and a generous amount of meat without feeling overwhelming. It was filling and satisfying overall. As for the flavor, the broth leaned a bit too salty for my taste. The depth was there, but the saltiness slightly overpowered the balance I usually look for in pho. The location felt a little sketchy, so if you're driving, I wouldn't leave anything visible in your car, just something to be mindful of. I believe this restaurant shares ownership with The Boat and Pho Bac Sup restaurant, which is interesting given their reputation in the local pho scene.

Definitely the best of the Pho Bac locations in Seattle! The store is big and open with bright light shining through the windows. There's a decent amount of parking, compared to the International District location. They have clean gender neutral bathrooms. They are super efficient with placing and fulfilling orders - our pho came out within 5 minutes of ordering! The pho ga (chicken pho) was soooo delicious! FYI it's made with beef broth. Compared to typical boiled chicken at other pho places, this chicken is grilled so it added extra flavor to the broth. It's also super tender and juicy compared to the typical dry boiled chicken at other places. This is one of the best bowls of pho I've had, tied with the veggie pho I had at the International District location. I definitely want to come back and try the veggie pho at this location!

If a Vietnamese restaurant constantly has people coming in and out to eat their stuff, you know the food's gonna be fresh and good for the stomach! This is one of those places, and I'm happy that it's not too much of a drive either. I came here with my sis on a Tuesday noon around 11:30pm for some lunch, and got seated quickly to a spacious seating area with tons of tables for mostly groups of up to 4 people. Vietnamese music was blasting from the speakers but not at an unbearably loud volume, and I Shazamed a couple of them because they sounded really good. That being said, it gets noisy in here the more people there are since sound vibrates around the inside. Their menu has many choices for pho, though prices are different only depending on whether you get a regular or large bowl. They also have appetizers, vermicelli noodle bowls (bun), extra add-ons and drinks. I got their large pho tai nam gan sach (pho with rare steak, brisket, tendon and tripe), while my sis got their regular pho tai bo vien (pho with rare steak and meatballs). Pho's usually standard, though I liked this one a lot since their broth is fresh and homely, the noodles were cooked all the way through, and the food came out really fast. We also split an order of cha gio (fried eggrolls), which comes with only 2 of them though both are long pieces. These were piping hot and crispy on the outside. This place has become one of my favorite spots to get pho. This place has parking on the side of the building but it's pretty limited, and street parking a little farther ahead may be difficult to get through. I'd still brave it since the food here's plain and simple while also keeping you full.

I actually decided last minute that I was going to hop off the link light rail train to have lunch with my daughter at Mt Baker station. Pho Bac is actually the closest restaurant because I didn't want to wander too far away from the train station. Anyway, the restaurant itself is cool. It's spacious seating with clean interior. You must be OK with Vietnamese music blasting in the background because you're eating at a Vietnamese restaurant... after all. The waiter was prompt with my simple order of raw beef Pho and spring rolls. Additionally, I ordered one thing of fried egg rolls for my daughter because she loves fried egg rolls. Everything was good and fresh. 10/10 recommend.

First- this is one of our go-to pho spots in the neighborhood, it's usually open when our other spots are not and it's one of the best. I've been seeing some negative reviews about service and I disagree - they are busy, they are focused, and the food comes out really fast. Prices haven't gone up too much despite the rising costs of protein and they list slightly lower prices if you pay with cash. They made a big upgrade to the interior a couple years back and while I miss the local charm of the old dining area the current space is spacious, clean, and modern

There's street parking and some spots right next to the building. Ordering is quick and easy and they have a bunch of meat combos for pho for choose from. Loved their broth and amount of meat was pretty good too Large #10 with brisket, fatty brisket, and tendon: good amount of meat, tasty broth, tender tendon. Overall a solid bowl of pho and I'd come here again! I just wish they had a choice of slightly wider rice noodles, I think that would be AMAZING with their meat and broth.

I prefer this pho bac it's like a sister store as it's owned by relatives of the main one on Jackson. However it's always busy when I go and the broth is really good! They always have parking and two unique soups to this location. One is a stir fried chicken and the other is a spicy beef belly. My go to pho spot in Seattle.

They passed the broth test, but I feel like they don't put enough meat. I do like that they have the onions w/vinegar. They are busy so they have a good customer base. If they just condensed their menu and added more meats to the bowls they would get a 5 star out of me.

Was a recommend stop by a local friend while in town and so glad we did!! The food we extremely delicious. The service was quick and the menu isn't too overwhelming. I tried the dry noodle with beef broth and beef and it had great flavor! We also had a side of the egg rolls which came out great. Very happy with it. My husband did get the beef rib which was slightly inconvenience to eat since the meat doesn't fall off the bone.

One of my favorite places to get pho. They sell Viet coffee from hello em. They also have huge spring rolls here. Very large seating area, and fast service. I highly recommend.

Delicious pho on a cold day, and the portion sizes are big! The price difference between the small and large is less than $1, so I ordered the large, and it was huge! The broth is very flavorful and I'm glad I ordered the large size, as there were so many noodles and it was filling. I was there on a Friday night and it was busy, but there were still plenty of space available for guests. The staff were very friendly and attentive and I didn't have to wait long for my food. I'm looking forward to coming back on another cold day!

Fast service and quick servers; and OMG, the "small" Pho was soooo big (the large must be extra large). The beef broth was very hot and my order came with all the fixings Had to try both the Spring rolls & Vietnamese egg rolls The place was bustling with people waiting patiently for a table (the food is worth the wait), plus servers were cleaning up as soon as people left their table - it's a clean place with delicious and affordable dishes

I remember the days when you'd see them sitting at the corner table, hand-folding wontons right in front of you. They've gotten so busy now that they do it in the back, and if you don't time your visit right, be prepared to wait in a long line. This is my absolute go-to combo on a chilly day, and honestly, the best hangover cure: Wonton Noodle Soup, Cod Fish Congee, Chinese Broccoli, and Chinese Donuts (Youtiao). You cannot skip the donuts--they are a must! My personal ritual is adding a splash of pink vinegar and chili paste into the congee, dipping the donut in, and taking a huge bite. It's pure comfort that warms you up from the inside out and instantly heals a tired soul. My husband prefers the beef wonton noodle soup because it's rich and hearty, but I love the classic, clean flavor of the plain wonton soup with its seafood-based broth. A quick heads-up: The service is typical for an authentic, bustling Chinese restaurant--don't expect fancy fine-dining treatment, but the staff is genuinely friendly and efficient. Also, **it's CASH ONLY**, so come prepared! Among the handful of restaurants I've stayed loyal to for 20+ years, this spot holds a very special place in my heart. Highly recommended!

While skimming through the menu, I decided on what I wanted, but I was curious about the portion sizes and the quantity of the Chinese donuts. When our server came over, she didn't greet us with a smile; she actually looked extremely annoyed. I asked her how much bigger the regular portion was compared to the small, since it looked like everyone had the same-sized bowl. She replied with an attitude, saying that the regular has one pack of noodles and the large has two. I then asked her how many donut pieces come with one order, and she just said, "What?" before adding, "You can just order one." My questions were simple, so I don't understand why she responded so rudely. When she came back with our food, it looked delicious, but it was a bit too salty for my liking. After this whole experience, I would not come back. That server made me feel like a nuisance, and honestly, it's better to spend your money at a business that appreciates your time and money. Also, this place is cash only.

Two hairs - one in my kaisen champon, one in my partner's niku udon. A dead bug in the niku udon. A staff member walking the floor actively bleeding from his nose with a napkin stuffed into it. Any one of these on its own would have been a rough night. All three in the same meal is something else ‍ The kitchen is small and open so you can see and hear everything, which meant we also got a front row seat to the chef yelling at his staff multiple times throughout the evening. The team was clearly working hard and seemed genuinely understaffed, but the kitchen felt like it was coming apart at the seams. We were in line to order for about five minutes, during that time we heard the employee at the register say to the man in front of us that there is no more summer special cold udon flight. Bummer, but totally understand. The menus are acrylic boards at the ordering counter, there were two for the two specials and they were left up when we went to order. The employee told me that unfortunately they have run out of the other special (not the flight). She turned around to do something else for a bit, came back, so I ordered the flight and she said they don't have that either. LOL okay!! No worries! I asked if any of the udon can be made cold? She asked the head chef. He yells back that he has no time for this. Like a good one minute lecture, yelling at the staff. So sorry I made him yell at this poor girl I ordered kaisen champon and my partner ordered the niku udon. We waited for a good 30 mins for our food. Fine we like each other enough to spend time with each other and can clearly see it is chaos in the kitchen. We get our food. We didn't get utensils with our food, and were told "I'll grab utensils for you, sorry about that" So we just sat there waiting for utensils. Food is good but there are hairs and a bug ‍ During our time waiting the water wasn't ever filled (it's self serve) so after our food came I asked for water three times, kept getting "I'll refill it". The chawanmushi showed up 20+ minutes after our food, basically as we were finishing. And they don't have to-go containers, which fine, but worth knowing. I've given this place real chances. Last night felt like a hygiene issue, an understaffed kitchen, and a service breakdown all stacked on top of each other. Usually we go during lunch so maybe that's my recommendation moving forward - I'm giving this place a rest from the rotation for now.

This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.

My wife and son highly recommended this place as a tasty place they found…read more.. After my son's fencing tournament where he stabs his friends... we went on the adventure. The start of the journey began with the requisite parking fiasco and issues that are perpetual in the Seattle ID...but that should never, and I mean never, stop an important mission like finding a truly delicious noodle restaurant. When we went in, it was pretty empty. We were immediately sat, and ordered. The hot jasmine tea quickly followed. Our Calamari came out quick and was delicious to the point I nearly had to fight my son for the last piece. I quickly surrendered as he does stab people...see above...he parried my fork and stabbed the last piece before quickly finishing the move. Our mains came out shortly after we finished the calamari. The 14yo ordered beef brisket noodle soup. He said it was delicious, but too spicy after he added too much chili oil. The wife scoffed at the idea that there's such a thing as too much chili oil and ate some of his soup. This was after she dug into her hot pot. I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles. Really tasty. The noodles had so many flavors from the vegetables to the meats (shrimp, chicken meat & egg, and pork) and the sauce. I enjoyed the meal, and look forward to discovering more dishes to try on our adventures trying to find parking. JuFeng, thank you for the delicious meal!
