I'm rounding up from a 3.5 stars. A small mom & pop shop in a strip mall. We walked in for dinner, was told to sit anywhere, and then redirected because the owner felt the little corner table we picked is far too small for a party of two! (Haha) We were here for a quick bite to eat, so we did not try any appetizers. I went straight for the pho tai nam, which has that pink thin eye round slices and brisket slices. My brother got the bun bo hue. The soup came out with a massive pile of bean sprouts, basil, cilantro, and jalapeño. My pho came out not crazy piping hot, but the slices of of eye round were already well cooked in it. I don't think it was sitting around much, though, as the rice noodles were really perfectly cooked and stayed fresh throughout the meal. The pho broth was very much on the sweet side, I was shocked to find. Because it was so sweet, it was hard for me to figure out if the broth actually tasted good. The bun bo hue broth, which I tried a little bit of, was a little better because it had a little bit more acidity and the spices helped. But everything tasted a little sweet compared to what I'm used to for pho. Nevertheless, we finished our noodles, relaxing in it's coziness as it was positively frigid outside. I want to give this place a decent review as it is a small business and the prices are very fair for a hearty amount of food. But the soup does run very sweet, so be warned if you're looking for a different style of pho. read more

It's so close to my house, I thought it was a convenient place to go check out. I wasn't feeling well, so I thought soup would be the best thing. I ordered the Pho soup and it was everything I had hoped for. I went back there with my husband, and brother to dine in. Everything we ordered was amazing, everything tasted so good and well presented and good portions. Service was excellent. I went back the third time and it did not disappoint. The food was consistently tasty and delicious. I really love that it is a family owned restaurant. The place is small, but the restaurant is clean with two TVs so it does not feel overwhelming. The decor was simple, but nice modern paintings on the wall. I noticed that they had personalized plates on some of their entrées, it's those small details that really make it classy. read more

We go to Pho Bistro all the time, the pho is top notch and Michael and Vu make you feel like family. I don't know if it is a bad or good thing that when Michael sees us, he already knows what we want but it is hard to deviate from what you love when it is so delicious. I haven't lived near a good Vietnamese restaurant in a while since my time living near Eden Center in Virginia. It always requires me traveling pretty far to get something decent in both taste and something that's reasonably priced. I've seen this place several times on my way to H-mart and decided to give it a go. So glad I'm did! The first thing I noticed immediately when I walked in was a nice mix of Asian and non-Asian customers. It's true what they say: If you go into an Asian restaurant and there are no Asians eating there, well, the food will probably be more Americanized. So I was happy to see a mix of people. The second thing I noticed was that the female owner was casually chatting to a guy, who definitely seemed like a regular. I liked that. The third thing I noticed was that the menu was a decent size and everything was priced reasonably. I went to a place recently that charged $17 for 4 spring rolls. So this was another plus. Fourth thing I noticed was that like many restaurants, they no longer have Sriracha due to the massive shortage. So what does this place do? They make their own! Both that and their version of Sambal. And they were both fantastic! And finally, fifth thing was the food. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with pork and an extra spring roll and it was so darn good. Perfect portion, perfectly cooked meat and oh so tasty. I really hope the pho is good because I'm coming back for that soon. read more

I picked up a vermicelli noodle salad from here. The noodles were cooked well and the sliced beef were very tender. The sauce was very flavorful. It wasn't overly sweet. It complimented the salad very well. What I am pleased by is the service. As soon as my husband and I walked in. We were offered seats but we wanted an order to go because we were heading back to our hotel. The gentleman offered me a seat anyway and gave me ample time to look at their menu. He was enthusiastic and super friendly. As soon as I selected my order, he went to the back and shouted my order. He even offered a drink while I waited. The dining area was bare. There were only another couple and one single person eating in. When my order was ready, he promptly brought it out to me and thanked me for my business. Came in to order 3 orders of the number 58 on their menu. Their in house "Bistro special combination rice plate" @ $11.99 each. Let me tell you something. It was nothing special about it. Their broken rice was soggy from excess water in cooking. The shrimp, yes 1 shrimp is boiled and unseasoned. No taste whatsoever. The eggmeat was way salty. The eggroll was ok but I have had way better. Pasted pork looks and tasted like Spam. There wasn't any trace of grilled slice chicken in my order so I couldn't comment. It maybe a good thing that it didn't have it. Lol. The grill pork meat was chopped so fine it look it came out of the blender. The veggies consisted of 5 strand pieces of pickled carrots, chopped lettuce that look like it came out of your groceries store ready to eat lettuce salad bag and 2 slices of cucumber. Lol. They couldn't even throw in a slice of tomato. Rice plate is a stable and very common dish in Vietnamese cuisine, this by far is the worst I have had serve up by any restaurant and I have eaten thousands of times over my life. I has been in town for the week and look up on google and it rated the business a 4.0 stars. I told myself it must be good, boy am I pissed. Probably the first and last time going there because now I am afraid to try other dishes. Zero stars if I could post this review but just to have a voice on Yelp, 1 star it is.
