Updated review since it has been a while. Pho Bistro has been around FOREVER. I remember eating here in high school 8-9 years ago. It has been so long since I ate here, and I was hoping it was as good as I remembered (and it is!!!). Ordered 2 combination pho, a grilled pork banh mi, egg rolls, and a couple drinks. Everything was packaged nicely and was piping hot still by the time I got home. The portion size for both the pho and banh mi are really nice especially for the price! After 3 years not much has changed. We stopped in after a 4 hour kayak trip and it did the trick. Crispy fried Cha Gio egg rolls were firm and filled with ground pork. The accompanying cool lettuce wraps, cilantro, pickled vegetables and dipping sauce contrasted with the piping hot rolls (4). Still simple beef noodle soups served in a humble ambiance were huge. Plates of mung bean sprouts, basil, cilantro and jalapeño were fresh garnishes I love. Combo Pho is the one to order that's chock full of rice noodles, beef brisket, tripe, meatball, and usually tendon. Stock was flavorful, but a little thin on strength. I'm so happy I came back today because come to find out they are under new management and it so happens to be the previous owner (Vietnamese lady). It hurts my heart to write this negative review because this place was our go-to Bahn mi spot close to our house. I'm pretty sure there are new owners as of the past month or so, and the quality and experience at the restaurant has gone down. Meat on Bahn mi is chewy and barely even on the sandwhich, and they put a gigantic stalk to cilantro on the sandwich and called it a day. When we ate there last week the meat was chewy and the service wasn't responsive. In Las Vegas there are tons of options for Vietnamese food. That being said, we will save our $15 PER BAHN MI and go somewhere else. read more

After a year of turbulence, things apparently have settled down, and they are open again. Thus, I re-review. A new paint job, and removal of the sticky, early 80's rose and green booths gives an impression of new found cleanliness. As well as replacing the aged, grungy carpet with tile. New menus! Also not sticky, but noted tendon is no longer available in your pho. Fresh grilled pork rolls were made to order ( sausage still warm!) served with tasty peanut sauce; and were very good, indeed. My pho tai arrived, notes of star anise and other spices preceding. Hot, flavorful and satisfying. My iced coffee was rich and refreshing. Craving for banh mi and I'm on the East side of town. Read about Pho Bistro and quite a few good reviews. Lots of parking on this strip mall where it is located. A few people dining at around lunch time. Server was quick to greet and help. The place needs a bit of TLC but really, more interested on the food. I ordered a bbq pork banh mi and egg rolls for take out. Nice to have been served water while waiting for my food. The banh mi was huge, though lacking the crispiness of the baguette. It was more like a hoagie roll. A bit disappointing. The egg rolls came with the typical Vietnamese condiments of lettuce, cilantro, dipping sauce and pickled daikon and radish. A little on the salty side for my liking but better than the banh mi as for expectations. . So it was just ok. To be fair, gotta go back for the pho and see what the fuss was about. read more

Mine was the beef pho and my wife had the seafood pho. My daughters enjoyed shrimp fried rice, deep fried egg rolls, and fried tofu. We also ordered a BBQ pork Banh Mi to go. Definitely some feel good and tasty food served here. Mellow vibes, but with the expected traditional Vietnamese service. Good, fast, tasty food. The only item that took long was the Bahn Mi. This place is a hidden gem! It wasn't very busy but deserves its recognition. The dish that I got was great, the meat was very well marinated, and everything in it paired well together. The owner was a very nice lady and made sure everything was to my liking. I would recommend the Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò. This is a cold vermicelli noodle dish with grilled meat (thịt nướng) and egg roll (chả giò) paired with fish sauce that you pour on top of the whole dish. read more

Horrible service. Whoever we spoke to on the phone was rude. My friend asked if they take phone orders and the guy on the phone was obnoxiously rude and pretended to not hear us and hung up the phone. It wouldn't have been an issue if he just said no kindly and we would've still went there and ordered appropriately. Tried to call again to give them another benefit of a doubt and the guy did the same thing. When talked to other friends about their experiences, apparently they are know for having bad service. My other friend had to cuss out the teenager and the manager for the rude service they gave and almost called the cops on them. Cold, cloudy and rain, what it good for, a bowl of Pho Charging my car across the street, have an hour, thought I stop by here again I actually been here before maybe a year ago, but not that impress, their broth is not that great, to me, Pho is all about their broth, a good pot of broth need to cooked for at least 15 hours or longer. I was there around 11am Order the Spring Roll, and the Combination Pho The Spring Roll seem like they used Pork and Shrimp, most I tried they only giving Shrimp, the roll also seem longer, even tho it cut in the half, still seem longer. Combination Pho coming up, the soup is super hot, good job peeps! Because the beef is raw, also some raw bean sprouts, so the soup must be super hot, and they provide that. After I went used the restroom, after the door, there is a small hall way, and OMG, they need to clean that place up, seem like this new owner just took the restaurant over without doing any cleaning or remodeling, and continue with the business. Super tiny hole in the wall place. Our waitress was very friendly and we asked her about a few of the items on the menu. We ordered the beef pho, the egg rolls, and a pork banh mi. I have been to this place many times and always look forward to it, but I went there on June 3 and as soon as I walk in the door, the place smelled like sewage and the broth has completely changed. It had no flavor. I actually had to ask for salt that still did not help. My complete meal was ruined. This used to be our spot for Pho for 10 years!!! I think the place was sold recently because it's not the same people working in there any longer. I got a take out order for my daughter. She likes the rare beef Pho. I got home and it was what looked like "shrimp soup" with about 4 shrimp and a broth that was so weak, no flavor and just sad. It was as if they took a can of broth off a shelf and used that. Very sad. Another neighborhood staple gone. We will never be back. read more

I had to write this review to defend this little spot from all the negative reviews they've been receiving lately. The service was great. Our server was a young man with glasses who was very kind and attentive. We ordered pho and the broth was nice. Also ordered the coffee with the condensed milk. It was strong but I like strong coffee! Price was fair. Ordered two pho's, an appetizer, two coffee's and it came out to $48. I'd say that's average nowadays. Now for what I didn't like. Not sure if their ice machine needs to be cleaned but my water with ice had things floating in the cup. Almost killed my appetite. Also the produce was poor quality. I was in the neighborhood tonight when my husband and I had a craving for rice plates. We stopped by Pho Bistro and it was an easy in and out food stop. The menu here doesn't have the classic "com dac biet", but instead they seem to have more speciality plates like Wonton Soup with Egg Noodles, Hu Tieu Bo Kho (Beef Stew Soup), Bo Luc Lac (Shaken Beef) or Banh Mi (Viet Sandwiches). Everything was reasonably priced at around $13.95 - $15.50 per plate/soup. My husband got the Shaken Beef and the flavor was very very good, but the beef could have been a little more tender. The plate also came out with red and yellow peppers which we were not expecting. I got the wonton soup and it was soooo satisfying, the flavor profile was definitely on point. The thai tea was good but they put a little too much milk/half and half in there. Probably wouldn't get this again. BUT the dishes were fantastic... highly recommend coming here. Ambiance: Nothing extravagant. Eatery vibe and very home-y. For a hole in the wall, there's a lot of space to sit. Service: it was very quick and the owners were very welcoming and nice. Food: I got the combination pork vermicelli bowl. Hands down one of the best one's ive had. The bbq pork was tender and tasted very fresh. The dressing is really the secret that ties the bowl together. Not too sweet like other pho places and very well balanced between the sour, sweet, and salty. This has been one of my favorite pho restaurants that I have frequented the past two years. Unfortunately today, I have discovered that there's new ownership which has affected the quality of the food and menu prices. Everything has increased in price on the menu and the food quality doesn't justify the increases. The bean sprouts we received were old and tasted funny. The broth in our pho was watery and flavorless. The "rare steak" for our pho was chewy, thick, and tough. Our eggrolls were really oily and the sauce for it was super watery and flavorless as well. Needless to say, I will not return again but I hope that the quality improves since others have shared similar experiences. read more

On the way home and needed something to grab something quick for the road so we stopped here due to the reviews. We wanted to give it a shot. I ordered to go and ate the food I ordered in car on the way home. I've ordered their fried egg rolls, combination sandwich, grilled pork sandwich, combination fried rice and Vietnamese coffee. I would definitely come back here for their deliciously made Vietnamese coffee. I really enjoyed their crunchy, nicely toasty outside and soft inside of the hoagie bread, very generous on the meat with the shredded pickled vegetables and a fresh piece of lettuce!?...that's something different you see inside a banh mi, but I don't mind it because it's pretty good. My favorite is their grilled pork sandwich! Thinly sliced, tender yummy pork meats! My kids said their fried egg rolls are very crunchy and tasty so they obviously liked one of their appetizer. I didn't get to the fried rice until today. The combination fried rice is too dry for me although, it might have been better if I seat it right away!? I wouldn't know, I didn't get to it til today. I've had better combination fried rice for sure. Environment inside is kinda old, but it was pretty clean around the tables except the walls, it can use some cleaning and touch up.
