Pho Chateau is delicious! It's in a large plaza next to the DMV, so parking can be limited but walking a few steps extra is definitely worth it. We arrived during the lunch special time window which lasts until 4pm and had a large vegetarian pho, vegetarian summer rolls (they gave us an extra one on the house!), a small beef meatball pho, and a Vietnamese iced coffee to go. Trying the broth before digging in or adding sauce is the key to understanding delicious pho and let me tell you, Pho Chateau has got it down. Both the vegetarian and beef broth were rich and flavorful while still light and delicate so you know it was painstakingly simmered for hours with real ingredients--none of that concentrate or powder nonsense! The vegetarian pho was so flavorful you'd think there was meat in it but it was a spectacular mix of silky rice noodle, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, green onions, parsley, thinly sliced white onion, in the rich umami broth. Pho Chateau has been a regular spot for my husband and I for the past two years. We order the same thing every single time. Always start with the crispy spring rolls, and then we, of course, order PHO! Shrimp pho for me and beef pho for my husband. Also, if you have a love a good thai iced tea. Pho Chateau has a good one! We Ate lunch (to go), today and I would say the food is awesome. The yellow wings that I ordered were on point, and my wife loved them too. Also, the spring roll combination was good along with the noodles my son ate. My wife said the Rice Platter Special was great. I think the noodles were the highlight of the entire meal. The crispyness of the spring roll was one the of best I have ever had (I've eaten a lot of Pho, trust me since middle school). This place used to be good but idk what happened. Waiter is served to your table but not poured in your glass. Asks "What do you want" as soon as he drops the menu. The quality has gone down as well. Got a pho with meatballs, brisket and eye of round. Zero eye of round. Few pieces of brisket and many meatballs (cheap option). I informed the waiter and was offered more meat but that's not why I do this. Do it right the first time around. There are may restaurants in this area. What a delicious surprise!!! I was at the dreaded DMV for what seemed to be forever and so hungry. I was looking at my yelp app to see what was around me and I found Pho. I was so excited to come here. I walked in and got greeted in a very friendly manner. The waiter was very pleasant and his recommendations were right on. I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee it was excellent. Then I ordered what he recommended it was B86 the meat was excellent the pho was delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. I have gone here twice so far (within a week). The first time the beef pho broth was very flavorful. My aunt has the vegetarian broth and also said her broth was better than other vegetarian pho she had tried in NOVA. However, the second time we went there, we noticed that both our broths lacked seasoning. Both times, the small pho bowl had a lot of toppings and noodles - they do not skimp out like some places. The spring rolls are very good. I got the pork spring rolls and instead of using the typical thin wrappers, they used rice paper. It made the egg rolls crispier! My aunt liked the vegetarian egg rolls as well. I would rate this place a 4.5/5, but since there are no half stars, I gave it a five. read more

Really terrific food. Pho is on point. Vermicelli bowls are terrific. They have some of the additional dishes that aren't on every pho joint menu such as banh mi (grilled pork, beef, chicken or tofu sandwiches), bo kho (beef stew), Bún Bò Huế (spicy beef stew). I usually don't care for fried rice at Vietnamese restaurants, but really like theirs. Great family operation. Service is outstanding. Food quality is outstanding. The chef was working the front and the back today and he was so friendly and his food was great as well! Servers at the restaurant are also very attentive and friendly as well. Most importantly, the food is great! Good pho, vermicelli, and rice dishes, but my favorite dish is the appetizer called Chateau Roti Curry. Pho Chateu is my absolute favorite Pho location in the Fort Belvoir/Lorton Area. I consider this establishment to be a hidden gem. I enjoy frequenting this location, because the service is out of this world, the food is delicious and quickly prepared, and the setup is very trendy. I normally get seafood pho, Thai ice tea, and the summer rolls. Everything is delicious. The establishment also serves other food items such as teriyaki shrimp with rice and veggies. During the week, around lunchtime the place isn't packed to capacity, in which one of the servers (possibly the owner) recognizes me by face. In my opinion this is an amazing aspect that most establishments should try practicing. The prices are great in my opinion. I recommend Pho Chateu to anyone that Pho lovers and newbies! read more

This was my first time trying this place out and I find an ant floating in my broth...Fortunately, the waiter gave me a new one while apologizing about three times. There are a lot of tables and the decor is very nice and modern. The food was ok. It was great when they first opened. Last time we were there we waited 30 minutes for 2 bowls of soup. After watching people who came in after us get their food eat and leave the waiter said he was sorry the kitchen didn't get the order. That didnt sound right since they got us our spring rolls right away. To make it up to us the spring rolls were competed. That was nice but it didnt make up for the fact we missed our movie.
