Skimpy. If I could sum up my experience at Pho Chopstix, it's that word filled with dissatisfaction. It's really a shame because, the broth in the combination pho was pretty good. The tendon was fatty and chewy as I expected. The rare beef, tender as it was cooking in the boiled broil. The meatball...? THE ONE MEATBALL I got Was cut into fours and I only got two pieces... which means for the $9.43 I expected a combo and got one of each item promised with HALF of a single meatball. Pho is supposed to be comfort food. YOU DON'T GO TO A PHO PLACE AND LEAVE HUNGRY. But I did. I left hungry. Sad story right? Even after eating a full order of a summer roll and a spring roll. I wasn't satisfied. And come on, we all know Pho is a signature Vietnamese staple that fills you until you burst out of your pants. You're supposed to be in a food coma because there is always TOO MUCH. But come on Pho Chopstix. You gave me TOO LITTLE!!!! Plus I was sharing with my 20 month old so that sad dollop of rolled up noodles on the bottom of the soup bowl was an absolute joke. And I'm not saying that about just your food. I'm also criticizing your bathrooms and dining area. During your down time, you have staff surfing their phones or talking with the owners but your tables aren't bussed. And your bathrooms aren't restocked with paper towels or handsoap. In fact, the hand soap was 90% water. It doesn't leave a good first impression when you just changed a diaper and have to wash your hands with watered down/see through purple-ish Meijer soap. The past few yelp reviews tend to hate on lunch wait and that's amazing that you have a rush. But bro, you gotta regroup after the battles over and give your dinner crowd something for morale. Again, the food is good hence why there are two stars. But the cleanliness of the overall restaurant and the portion size was a huge disappointment. So is it a pricing issue? Food costs gone up. I get it. Do you need to mark it up slightly to give people adequate amount of food we deserve? We understand that and we encourage that. Because marking your prices down for HALF of the portions we are expecting is absolutely not fair to the customer and leaves a really bad taste in our mouths. In a sense, it's more expensive because we thought we were getting a deal but you're cutting back on that promise. So if you need to charge up for a full portion then let us know that's an option. Offer small and large portions on your menu. Even if your food is good. I'll go somewhere else that can actually satisfy a Pho craving. Please get yourself together before your potential disappears. You have much better food and selection from your competitors close in the area (Pho Lucky). But this really hurts what you have to offer. read more

After a day of work and travel, my colleague and I just wanted an easy and quick meal. After looking on yelp, I found Pho Chopstix so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did!!! It's in a shopping center, nothing to be excited about from the outside, nothing fancy on the inside, but the food was absolutely delicious!!! We got the pork spring rolls (not what they called them, but I didn't remember what they were listed in the menu as) and they were just like my favorite spring rolls from my home town that I haven't been able to find anywhere else! I also had the pork Vietnamese sandwich; also delicious!! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be in the area again as Detroit isn't a regular work location for me, but I'm glad I found this spot while I was there!!! read more

I really like Pho Chopstix. The food is excellent, the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant itself is clean and bright. The prices are very attractive, too- a big bowl of Pho (there are a dozen varieties!) is less than $9, and if that's not enough, you can get an extra-large bowl for a few dollars more. They've extended the menu and added several new dishes, including a variety of rice plates and noodle bowls, and they're all good. Add to that the spring rolls and fresh rolls, the variety of coffees and teas, and it's just a great place to get a tasty meal for not much money. Really good pho! I met a friend there for the pho, and was glad I did. This pho was among the best I've had. The broth was really, really good, and so were the meats and other ingredients. And the portion was what I'd expect from a pho restaurant: large and filling. This is my new go-to for pho, and I am looking forward to my next visit. read more

It's a small Vietnamese family owned restaurant. One of the more authentic pho dishes we've had in the area. The charbroiled pork and egg rolls were seasoned well. The only thing missing was chili oil. Also, we're not 100% sure but we think there might have been a piece of pork in the beef pho special so just be wary and make sure there is none if you do not eat pork. read more

Food is decent here but they have a major cleanliness problem. Sticky floors, crumbs everywhere, dirty chairs/booths, and flies buzzing around. Doubt I will be back ever again unless they hire a cleaning crew to scrub this place down. This place is really clean, especially if compared to other pho, you know. Service was good as well although waiting time was a bit long during lunch time. However, honestly, the pho was not tasty, soup was too bland, the noodles twisted into a ball at the bottom of the bowl. Smaller size compared to other pho resturants. Horrible service. I don't eat meat and specifically asked for veggie option for the autumn roll. I got home bit into my roll instantly got sick because I tasted the meat ! I DONT EAT ME ! I called asked to remake my order he said oh , you have to ask for veggie option . After me going off , he offers 15% off my next purchase. Said he can't remake it. I spent $20. I'm pissed and I know I requested veggie ! This has been my diet for yrs. They Failed to take responsibility for their fuck up !! I'll never eat here again. Also the store is not well kept. My husband and I came here with a wedding party for a luncheon. The staff was very accommodating to our large group and were quick to get our food to us. I got their vermicelli bowl with chicken and was throughly impressed. The bowl was quite large and very filling. The veggies were fresh and presented well. I also tried the pho and while it wasn't my favorite, it was still good pho. The prices were decent, expect to pay between $12-$16. Overall it was a nice place for a quick casual meal. read more

I am not trying to leave a bad review but the taste is different since new owners have taken over. I ordered take out today because they were open and we are limited due to the pandemic. I have stopped coming here now for awhile because of the change. I ordered the P4 and a coconut juice. I didn't care for the juice because it was too sweet for my taste. I also did not receive my herb leaves for my soup like I typically get in other Pho soups. I really enjoy adding them in my soup with the bean sprouts. Just recently moved here from Columbus and was trying to find a really good pho spot. This one is located 5mins from my house and is AMAZING. I was a little skeptical going in (in my experience, the hole in the wall joints are the best) but this had everything I loved in my small little finds plus the up to date scenery. Place was kept up. Server was nice. Food came out piping hot. Meat is cut thinly like I liked. Only reason I am putting 4/5 stars is because the noodles tend to clump up and I wasn't a fan of that. I order from Pho Chopstix frequently and have yet to be disappointed. Their chicken pho is excellent, and the broth is always flavorful. I also enjoy the amount of vegetables they proved for the vegetable pho. I have only had their vermicelli bowls with pork but the pork was very tender and excellent. Some of their rolls can be a little cilantro heavy, so if you are someone who doesn't like cilantro proceed with caution on those. read more

Since moving here to Michigan we have struggled to find a Vietnamese restaurant that is up to the great standards we are used to. With all of that being said, this restaurant is right on that same great level, and although we live 1/2 hour away - it is now on our go-to list of restaurants. The food is great here. However , good luck getting a hold of someone to place a order. Their hours are wrong online, so you never know if they're open or not. I am a little behind on reviews (spot on with check-ins though) so now I have not been to Pho Chopstix twice, the first for carry out, to check it out, and the second with my husband for dinner. For carry out I selected a few different rolls, a banh mi sandwich, and papaya salad (yum!). My only feedback is is I might not choose the grilled meat roll (but would get more reg summer rolls) again-I just did not like the thin sliced pork in the rolls, texturally it didn't work for me, the banh mi in the pic was big (I thought I would split so I only ordered one-it is small, actually a perfect size but at least 1 pp not a splitter) but it was dee-lish, maybe my favorite thing. The next time we ordered dinner, Pho and a vermicelli noodle bowl (which was a recommendation of the gentleman at the counter) both were good and I would order again. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and helpful and made several recommendations. I did think the dining room could be a little cleaner. I did not see busser that evening and maybe that was part of the problem, several dirty tables and floor. read more

Though the location is a little obscure, this restaurant exceeded my hopes. The restaurant inside is clean and modern, the servers were attentive and kind, and the pho broth was some of the best I've had! I am spoiled by a great pho place nearer to my home, and most other pho doesn't measure up. This brother was different in flavor, but equally excellent. And close to work. I'll be back, for sure! I had the Pho Gai (chicken) and was impressed with the variety of both light and dark meat chicken in the broth, which gave the whole bowl even more flavor. Well done! read more

Walked in, was seated, drinks came then we ordered. Pho came, but no spoons or lime/bean sprouts were brought out until 5 minutes after, by then my pho was cold. Pho was not savory. Sad. This used to be one of my regular places. I've tried 3 times to give them another shot and am now giving up. Ever since they opened their new location in Troy this place has been failing. Stand in line to sit with 10 tables that haven't been cleared and no one cleared them. Waiting for 30 minutes to get take out ( cause there's no where to sit) and now today they closed because they have no broth. No broth. At a pho place. It's 1130am. They obviously don't have enough staff and the ones that are there are trying, they're just failing. I predict this place will be out of business very soon. read more
