The first time we visited here, it was clean and felt welcoming. The other nights visit, not so much. The first table we were shown ...... from across the room was filthy. There were small puddles, crumbs and other debris. So, we went to the next table. Same thing. Even the chair seats were dirty. We finally found a table to sit at. The owner, I assume that's who this is, shuffled over to us. No greeting. Dropped off the water (something went terribly wrong with the water, it tasted scary bad) and the menus. He kurtly shuffled away. He returned with our drinks (lemonade and tea) they were fine, except I know they were made with the bad water. Our soup, one veggie, one not. The following day, we were both very sick. The nausea was bad enough. The accompanying pain is what made it worse. I've never drank lye before. I suspect a little like that. Have you ever been served cold soup? Ok...I'm exaggerating a little bit, but the meat didn't even cook in the soup! I ordered a basic beef noodle soup, I don't know what number on the menu it is, but it was "kind of" warm (rolling my eyes). I only work down the street but as soon as I noticed I hopped in the ride and sped back to Pho Dat. It probably took a total of 7minutes to pick up my to-go order, get to my work place, and realize that my soup was "kind of" warm (rolling my eyes). My lunch period is 30 minutes. I take it about 7:15-7:30pm. Here is the kicker... when I went back to "whine" and "complain" the place was shutting down!!! Literally 10 minutes at most he was closing down. The hours show they close at 9pm. The "Open" sign was not lit...and the dining area was really dim. I saw the guy in the back so I knocked on the window. Maybe he didn't hear me so I knocked harder but the guy either continued to ignore me or he had headphones on (rolling my eyes). Take my rating and rant however you want. I have only ate here once. The two other times I tried, they were closed outside of business hours. Only Pho place around so it is a little frustrating. Food: decent Service: pretty much took our order, brought the food, and never came back to even refill the water glasses. By far my favorite tasting Pho broth!! The soup is amazing although the service is terrible. I believe it's the owner always working and he is very rude with bad manners. A few times ordering take out, the broth wasn't hot enough to cook the meat as well as I'd like but usually it's not a problem. This place is garbage. There's one particular guy that works there that is extremely rude. I went there once and the service was just mediocre, the Pho itself was just okay. I feel that more often than not they're either closed or "out of beef" (I've called so I don't waste my time). I would drive further to get better Pho with better, friendlier service. Owner(s) are terribly rude so throw all your expectations of customer service to the curb before you walk in. They have no Pho competition in this area and I think they know this. Bring cash....the owner changes his mind on credit card acceptance depending on his mood. MID SENTENCE she had turned her back on me and walked away! She got about five feet away and turned around and said "what kind of pho did you want?" You always need to experience things for yourself and take your experience as your own. We are very glad we did! The woman working was very kind and checked on us often. We enjoyed our beef pho and chicken pho (extra veggies), our spring rolls and my coffee with condensed milk. Certainly worth trying for yourself. read more

Customers BEWARE. I unfortunately was stuck all day while sick so I sent my husband out to get me some pho. This restaurant was the closest to my work. Upon pulling up, just as other reviewers have said the owner was smoking. My husband walked in to the restaurant where the owner followed him while putting out his cigarette. All the while he is on the phone. He puts his phone down momentarily, and tells my husband his total, and immediately gets back on his phone and carries on a conversation. This place is dead. There are no customers, and the owner has no understanding of service. I hope he doesnt make the food with those dirty hands... PS!!! Me and my husband read the bad reviews but still went here, and SHOULDNT HAVE. The vermicelli bowls and rice plates both contain very few ingredients and are accompanied by an insipid and watery "sauce". After adding most of the additives at the table I was able to improve it enough to be adequate. And we were very hungry. Then the waiter took my soy sauce away! So for the first time I didn't bring my leftovers with me. When asked if the food was great, we gently explained that we were used to more flavor, and she shook her head in disbelief and asked us if we used any of the sauce! What the PHO... We have had bad costumer service almost every time we have gone to PHO DAT! The sign on the door says open at 10 o'clock, and we get there at 10:12, yet no one is there. We waited a few more minutes and the owner came strolling in at 10:15. So, we ask when can we come in and eat and he says in about 30 minutes. This has happened to us twice now and it's not going to happen a third time because we are done eating at their establishment. They have lost our business. If your sign says open at 10 o'clock, then be OPEN at 10 o'clock. If you can deal with that along with the owner taking smoke breaks almost every 20 minutes then this is the place for you. My favorite pho place around here. My husband and I do a lunch date every Thursday and we go here about 95% of the time. The pho is great, the restaurant is decent, never dirty or gross. It's always really quiet when we go. The man that always serves us is always courteous and nice. All in all a really great, inexpensive place to go whether you're looking for a midday date or just a simple lunch. I had a craving for some good Asian food so I drove around Smokey Point looking through strip malls for a hidden gem. I'm usually not a huge pho guy, but I decided to try this place anyways. I ordered the Lemongrass Pork Rice Dish. It was excellent. The pork was cooked perfectly with no chewy or fatty pieces. The rice and veggies complimented the meat nicely.
