The reviews for the place are pretty spot on. I'm a huge pho fan and the pho here is mediocre at best. I ordered bò tái nam (Rare steak and flank).I have a few problems with this place. 1) The broth wasn't beef broth at all but rather vegetable broth, which is clearly stated in their menu. If you're gonna serve pho bo then serve it with beef broth! 2) The broth was very bland. I know that authentic Vietnamese restaurants take great pride in their broth, which is usually a very closely held family secret. This may have well come out of a box. 3) The amount of meat in the pho was pathetic at best, especially given the price. 4) Too expensive for what you get. 5) The staff doesn't seem very friendly. I will say however that the shrimp and pork spring rolls were outstanding. If your looking for Pho in the Golden area, do yourself a favor and head on over to one of the places off of Federal and avoid this place. read more

The food is decent if a little pricey, but the service is the absolute worse. The people that work there are the rudest, most inefficient and non-caring employees and owners that I have ever seen. Although this place is clean and comfortable the service was horrid and the food was half as much as you'd get at my favorite Federal places!! Food was tasty though but was still hungry after lunch. Newly opened and open seven days a week! As stated previously there is the standard Golden markup here, three to four dollars more for a bowl of pho, and not as tasty as federal area's greats. But hey it costs a gallon of gas to and from federal these days so it's not that much more on the wallet. Really a 4.5 star review (when are we going to get 1/2 stars yelp!!) but I'll give this place the bump due to the friendly staff and ambiance. Stopped here for the first time after an aborted camping trip. Three tired and hungry dudes stumbled in to Pho Golden half an hour before closing time and 30 minutes later three happy, smiling dudes with bellies full of warm delicious pho sauntered out. They take your order and bring it out super fast but often we have to ask for the check and it takes forever for them to return to pick it up. I ordered a medium tai pho (rare beef) and shrimp spring rolls. the service was good but the food was sub par. The spring rolls had a bad smell to them but it was just the rice wrap, not the filling. The peanut sauce was a weird flavor kind of tangy and not what i expected I had the waitress take them back. The pho soup was ok but seemed a bit bland. The beef portion was small and was overcooked. The basil, sprouts, lime, and jalapeños were fresh and good but did not make up for the bland broth and semi underdone noodles. I might give this place another try but not anytime soon. read more

Ok everyone out there, I'm losing faith in Yelp reviews. Been to several restaurants and they were under par from Yelp ratings. This place was extremely clean, and the waitstaff were super, however, the food was not that good. Vegetarian Pho noodle soup was lifeless - didn't care for the tofu - just wasn't fresh. Lettuce wraps came with a small chunk of a head of lettuce - leaves were a bit larger than saltine cracker. The chicken chunks were fried. Noticed a lady down on her hands and knees picking up crumbs from under a dining table, then she was serving food a few minutes later - questionable behaviour. Don't think I will be back. read more

Not the cheapest, but the food is very good so we keep going back, even after trying other places. The combination fried rice is hubs favorite. Its spicy and yummy. The pho of course is my favorite, especially the meatball. I've also ordered pad thai which was okay. The pork egg rolls are delicious. I was visiting from Houston (where Pho restaurants are abundant) so I wanted to see what level of Pho Golden offered. I ordered to go and like another reviewer suggested it took longer than the quoted 30 mins. When opening the packages I realized the order was incorrect (I ordered well done brisket and flank but instead received rare). This would have been fine but all of the vegetables for the soup were blanketed by the rare meat and separated only by a thin piece of Saran Wrap. In Houston, regardless of where you go, the vegetables are placed in a separate bag. Another gripe is that the broths were not labeled, I ordered both a vegetarian and beef soup and ended up using the wrong broth because of the lack of labeling. The broths were tasty however and so was the dim sum, but the to-go service was lacking. read more

Pho flavor is good, but for $7.60 (before tip and no drink) the "small" comes with a very sparing amount of noodles and meat.... Noodles can't be that expensive.. Can they? This not the best or cheapest pho, but it's in Golden so you don't have to drive out to Denver. There are much better places that are also much cheaper in Denver. But the staff is nice and it's a nice restaurant with decent food. Nothing like a bowl of pho after a long study session. read more

Yeah! Okay I'm digging it! Very enjoyable experience. Extensive array of soup and noodles appetizers and entrees. They also have a nice little cocktail and beer selection. I must admit the alcohol content was very nice in the cocktails. Let me start off by saying I've been a semi-regular here for a number of months. It appears to me that there's a couple of great owners who manage the small restaurant. However, when busier, like evenings it seems that service can be at times slow. However the food is exceptional and keeps me coming back. You'll usually have to ask for a fork but if your chop stick skills are par you'll be okay. I enjoy that they have good pricing for the size of portions that they give you as well. I'll keep coming back and I would recommend to others. I would give this place 5 of 5 stars if I felt more attended to, but overall I've always left happy. read more
