The pho tasted good, but I didn't eat the meat fast enough as it became rubbery from soaking in the hot broth for too long. I didn't like the spring rolls as much just because they tasted soggy on the inside once I bit into it. It definitely did not have the crisp, fresh taste of raw spring rolls like other pho places do. I was very skeptical about trying this place because the previous Vietnamese restaurant (Ruby's Kitchen) that was at this location wasn't that good, and pretty much every restaurant in this plaza is mediocre. To my surprise this place was quite good. My wife and I ordered Pho Tai and Com Bo Luc Lac, which are two dishes we order almost all the time at other Vietnamese restaurants. We both liked our dishes. Pho Tai came with soft rice noodles, and the broth was flavorful without being too oily. Com Bo Luc Lac was little different than ones I've had in the past. It was served on a boat shaped tray with lots of salad and jalapeno ponzu sauce for dipping the meat. The steak was flavored similar to a Korean BBQ and the dipping sauce also reminded me of the dipping sauce you find at a Korean BBQ place. The portion was quite generous for $9.25. I was only able to eat about half and had to take the rest home. Service was ok but not too friendly. No smile. For a party of two we only got one napkin and none of the tables had a napkin tray. We ordered their Special Pho and an order of their egg rolls (Cha gio). As with most Vietnamese places, the food came out quick. The pho came with a generous amount of meat. My go-to spot for pho! My go-to used to be Pho Super Bowl in Diamond Bar (which is still great, btw), but since this place is so much closer to me, I've been going a LOT. Not to mention I feel like the broth here is the best pho broth I've ever had! I recommend their rare beef steak pho, #7. It is a tiny bit more expensive than other pho places, but the portion size and flavor definitely make up for it. This place is the cleanest pho place I've been to, too. Usually the sriracha bottles have that weird crusty stuff on it, but not this place! They're very clean and I really appreciate that.
