The food is always good. It's my go to for pho. The ambience is fine. They upgraded it from last year. And the service is usually fast.

BLUF: Not terrible, but the pho is better elsewhere. Phở Hoàng is something of a local landmark, having been in business for over 25 years. The restaurant is brightly lit and efficiently run, but we found the pho lacking. Dishes we had: - Phở Xe Lửa (火車頭; "Train Pho"): $15.95; $17.37 with tax. Beef Soup with Ribeye, Tripe, Tendon, and Brisket. My companion wanted to leave the restaurant based on first taste from this dish. The broth seemed to be sauce-based; the noodles had an odd grit to them; the beef cuts, which arrived fully cooked, were tough and old. There are other places that offer a much better pho. - Grilled Chicken with Rice 燒雞扒飯: $14.95; $16.28 with tax. The chicken was OK. The tomato and cucumber garnish did not seem fresh. A tip of 18%, based on pre-tax subtotals, is calculated on the receipt.

I did take out but based on the meal I had I have to return to dine in. I got the Triple Delight- rice with 3 choices of meats. I picked Roast Duck, Roast Pork and Scallion Chicken. Not expensive 11.95 plus tax. All of the meats were delicious and well seasoned, very flavorful. Good portions. I ordered from the kiosk at tje very front of the shop then sat near the hostess podium to wait. The hostess was very nice, she encouraged me to come back with friends. The restaurant was busy, it was Saturday. The restaurant was clean and tables were being serviced quickly. My food was ready under 10 mins and was very hot. I definitely caught some inquiring noses on the bus ride home. Even though I had pho at the restaurant next door I dug into meal when I got home and it was still hot- 45 mins later. I enjoyed every morsel. I'll be heading back for a proper sit down.

A fusion place of Malaysian, Vietnamese, Cantonese? A little confusing to be honest but mostly tastes good. For example, got the hainan chicken and it turned out not to be the true hainan style which cooks with coconut and the steamed chicken is marinated in soy sauce instead of a combo of ginger and garlic. The bbq pork and poached chicken was good. All the dishes were large and generous, so that was a plus. Overall, a quick and easy place

I came here for dinner with a group of friends and it wasn't a bad spot. With a history of over 30 years, this spot is a staple in Flushing. It offers a variety of Vietnamese, Malaysian, and Cantonese dishes. Service here is fairly quick. We ordered a variety of dishes here, from Vietnamese bo luc lac and egg rolls to Cantonese meats and peking duck to Malaysian noodles. I enjoyed the eggrolls and thought the portion sizes were good and meat filling. The bo luc lac on the other hand felt very dry and the beef cubes were really tough. The Cantonese meats were solid and I loved the variety that you could choose from. I also enjoyed the Malaysian noodles but wish there was more sauce so it would be more flavorful. Overall, a good spot for affordable food and a variety of comforting dishes, but I think there are better options for food quality elsewhere.

Went here with the family for a late dinner. Been here before and the pho is good. They give plenty of meat and the broth is very good and flavorful. The only bad side about this place is the staff mainly 1-2 waitresses are extremely rude af. Rushing us to order quick even though we just sat down. Always reaching over my face while I'm eating. Who the freak wants have a hand reach over my face while I'm eating pho and having whatever is in their hand touch my food. Not once but a few times during dinner. Got to the point I had to slam shiet onto the table letting them know it's annoying and I'm getting pissed off.

Pho Hoang is a staple Vietnamese/Chinese fusion restaurant in downtown Flushing. Although I've been here a handful of times prior to their renovations, I wanted to check out their new menu and vibe. Both times I dined here, we were able to get seated quickly. The menu has tons of pictures for non native speakers to order. We've tried their bun bo hue, grilled pork chop noodle soup, curry mixed food noodle soup, char kway teow, peking duck buns, roast duck, roast pork, and scallion chicken. Overall, we found the food at pho hoang pretty average for a spot that's able to serve such a large variety of dishes. I think they do vietnamese style cuisine very well, like their grilled pork chop. The bun bo hue was also better than most places. Their curry noodle soup was decent but is not better than my go to spot (Malay Restaurant). I was very impressed by their char kway teow or House Spicy rice noodle. It had a lot of wok hay flavor that Chinese people love. Their Cantonese BBQ meats were also quite average. I would recommend Pho Hoang for large parties since they will be able to accommodate seating and offer a good variety of food for everyone to enjoy.

The restaurant was nice. The food was good but not to the scale of other Thai restaurants I have visited. The duck buns were cold and they put a very small piece of duck on the bun (it's mostly skin) . The wings were really good. And my house noodles were okay. The service was decent, they gave tea, when we first sat down and our food came out fast.

You definitely will enjoy this brisket pho.

I ordered the pho with Brisket and it was out of this world. They didn't skimp on the meat and the broth was so flavorful. The prices are average and the service is quick. I really enjoyed my large bowl. I am definitely coming back.

I came here on a Tuesday at around 5pm and was with my partner and were seated right away. There was plenty of availability. They offer you water or tea to begin with They were relatively busy, but we had to flag someone down to put our order in We both got the pho xe lua which is their house special rice noodle soup with ribeye, brisket, tendon, and tripe. When you order they do ask whether or not you want the bean sprouts already pre-cooked or on the side raw. I prefer them raw. One note, they don't have different sizes of noodle soup I had plenty of leftover and asked them to wrap it up. Pro tip: always ask for them to separate the noodles and the soup when wrapping it up so that the noodles don't continue to cook in the broth and get really mushy and soft When paying the bill, just check the receipt, even with a party of two, gratuity was included and they don't let you know or point it out They do have a more modern set up and the menu has a lot of options and pictures, including Thai and Canto dishes. Also, they only have one individual bathroom, which I can imagine builds up a line with how big the restaurant is.

Amazingly functional tai, chin, the frickin works. Onion is fresh. Frickin delicious

Guys how could this place not have 5 stars? Best delivery pho ive had in NY and it's not close. The Pho Xe Lua is absolutely packed with gorgeous meat, super deep broth, and comes in incredible packaging. Cha Gio came with the right amount of lettuce aka TONs. This place is seriously delicious. Just came back from traveling and having this delivered for my Monday Lunch probably just made my whole week.

    Kathleen L.

The beef chow fun my boyfriend had was delicious my two dishes were ok . Bit of language barrier bc I asked for only one of the rices I was served. The place was busy and only one gender neutral bathroom for the whole place . Seems like it's popular enough maybe I tried the wrong dishes . Be aware they tack on gratuity .

Service was minimal at best but they just seemed under staffed honestly. And when the server did come by, she was running quickly to and from. The place was not busy when my friends and I were seated. But there was a back room in guessing that had occupants since she was missing in the front seating area. (There was a two person table occupied in the front near us). My party of three over ordered but that was intentional because, any purchase over $100, you get a free lobster and each of us had items we wanted, figured we would doggie bag the leftovers. All in all a great value. The lunch spread had over 7 dishes and we got the free lobster. I was especially happy to see Fried Milk on the menu as an appetizer. They also provide complimentary salted peanuts and pickled radish and carrot slivers. I recommend the snow pea shoots, fried milk, clams with black bean sauce and the Chinese Broccoli with Filet beef. The other dishes like the lobster, noodles and sweet and sour pork were executed well but just not my flavor profile. And with my food allergy, I couldn't try the shrimp with walnuts but it was my friends' birthday so she ordered that for her treat. It looked great! There's complimentary parking if you validate your ticket with a nearby garage, but you need to spend a minimum.

We were famished and only focused on what yummy dishes to order. My wife, son and daughter all contributed their suggestions and we ended up ordering pan fried whole flounder, half of the roast chicken with garlic, filet mignon with Chinese broccoli, fried rice with chicken and salted fish and everyone's favorite dish salt & pepper squid. Once we placed our order and were enjoying the roasted peanuts and free spicy cabbage we realized why everyone had their winter coats on, it felt like they had the AC on and it must have been 55° in the restaurant. I told everyone that once the food arrived things would warm up. Each dish that came out of the kitchen was perfectly cooked and was delicious. The salt & pepper squid with it's minced jalapeños kept us warm enough until the half chicken with garlic and filet mignon and Chinese broccoli came out in rapid succession. The star of the show turned out to be the giant sized pan fried flounder which was not only big but quite scrumptious. Unlike the little scrawny flounder that most other restaurants usually served this was a quite large and very meaty and perfectly cooked. The last dish to come out was a very large plate of chicken fried rice with salted fish. If it were not for the lack of heat, I would have given Chef Wong Bistro 5 stars!

Stating off with what I liked most, the pineapple soda was super refreshing. It was not too sweet and perfectly bubbly with bits of pineapple within. The carbonara was great as well. The noodles were perfectly al dente and I just enjoy creamy noodles to begin with. The curry fishballs are always a staple and the same goes with the steamed rice rolls with mixed peanut sauce. Cannot go wrong with those two appetizers. The sandwich was a little disappointing. I know the items are in the name of the sandwich but it fell really flat and I guess I was expecting a little more. The baked rice was not great either. It took a long time to arrive which we weren't upset about as we were warned when we ordered but for something that took so long, I expected it to be a lot better.
