First time to try this place across street from where i live. I've been eating a lot of Vietnamese food, however this one the broth tasted like way too much MSG... i don't mind if MSG been used but don't put too much. I ordered 2 meduim number 12. Spring roll "A" and extra broth came up to $43.43 too expensive. Meat cut too thin cant even see and taste the tendon. For me Im not planning to come back.

Was up in Long Beach and this restaurant was recommended. They have 4 different sizes of Pho! The largest one is huge! I ordered medium with rare beef. There was a generous portion of beef, however, it could have been a little more tender. Broth was good, maybe just a little too much fish sauce. We ordered a side of French fries. They were delicious!

This is my absolute go to spot for pho. Whether it's a rainy day or after a long night, this is the spot! The food never disappoints. The pho is always served HOT, beef super good and the greens super fresh. I always get the Chinese donut and a large pho. Sometimes I have enough to eat for a second meal. There is always plenty of staff and that makes the service amazing because they're always checking on you. The place has a casual vibe and some pretty cool art work.

There's not a huge Vietnamese population in Long Beach, especially compared to the nearby Little Saigon in Orange County. As a Vietnamese woman born and raised in Garden Grove, I have a pretty high bar for Pho. Pho Hong Phat is a great option for those in Long Beach that don't want to make the trek out to the OC. I think that it is casual, approachable, and pretty good in terms of quality and flavor. It;s not the best Pho, but it will satisfy your craving.

This place is pretty good! Warm and cozy, the flavor of the pho is good, I do think there is better places but this place is pretty good, going again!

Brought my grandma to try the Banh Sung that she always asks me for. It was good, but typically they use larger vermicelli noodles in banh sung. It was supposed to be topped with coconut cream but they had forgotten that. I had the Hainan chicken rice which was pretty good. The rice was a little dry, but it was flavorful. Their fish sauce here is really good though, we loved it. It seems a lot of people were coming in to try the pho or kuyteav, so we'll be back to try that next. Glad to see them offer both Vietnamese pho and Cambodian noodle soup!

Ordered a medium #1 Pho Tai with rare steak and delicious. Perfect flavor, nice portion balance of noodles vs steak, and enjoyed the condiments. I added some red chili paste for a little heat. Atmosphere was nice but expect it to be a little noisy if it's busy. Staff is amazing and work as unit to provide great customer service.

Came here on Saturday around 2:00pm. Parking lot in the back. Fairly busy. First room is small around 5 tables. Near counter small snacks. Service was ok. Ordered the 5 veggie egg rolls. They were crunch and tasted really good. Ordered the. Well done brisket and flake size small. Meat was good and noodles were thin. Broth was alright wish it was more flavorful on its own. All in all good for a one time try.

Came here for Sunday lunch and had plenty of space to sit. The service was incredibly attentive! our waiter must have refilled our water every 5 mins lol! Super sweet! The food came out fast, and the soup had amazing flavor, rich and comforting. Prices were great for the quality. Also the bathrooms were super clean! Definitely a solid spot for pho, and I'd happily come back!

My boyfriend and I ate here the other day and cannot stop thinking about how good the pho was!! We were treated with the best service and truly felt welcome to be there. I can't wait to go back!!

I got vermicelli with grilled pork which was tasty. My friend got Pho beef combo. I also got iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. You know it's authentic when your coffee comes with a tiny spoon in the glass cup. Reasonable price and nice service.

Always my go to when I'm craving pho! The store is bigger than it seems when you first walk in. The workers always seem to remember us and make us feel very welcomed which I enjoy. Not pictured: viet iced coffee, so freaking good bc it's not as sweet as I want it to be. Pairs well with the Chinese donut.

The broth wasn't our cup of tea as it was on the sweeter side. We had to squeeze a lot of lime to cancel out the sweetness

My friend and I shared a variety of dishes: -Student Noodle: If chow mein and pad thai had a baby, this would be that dish. Without the fish sauce, the noodles tasted like chow mein. This dish overall was good! While I would still opt for pad thai, the noodle texture was good and I enjoyed the flavors. We got this with crispy pork and it was tasty, but I wish it was crispier. I liked how it wasn't too fatty. -Fish Amok: It did not look like the picture, but the dish was still good. It was a sweet fish curry which was sweet from the coconut milk. This was tasty and the fish was soft. It wasn't fishy at all. This paired well with the rice. I would still opt for a savory curry though. -Beef Skewers: These were yummy and I enjoyed the charred flavor of these! The flavor was very similar to Filipino skewers. I liked how even the fatty parts were enjoyable. Steamed Rice: Fluffy and not mushy which I liked. It came served in this cute rice bucket which preserved the heat of it. The restaurant was decorated nicely and was pretty clean. Bathrooms available which were also clean. The service was good and attentive. There's lots of free parking in the lot in front. Overall, a solid Cambodian restaurant that's worth checking out in the Long Beach area!

The beef itself was a little chewy and in large pieces. I prefer the meat to be cut a little smaller and would like more lettuce and cucumber. I got a little taste of the spicy fried rice, which was really good. Some of us ordered Thai tea and didn't expect what we received, which was the tea with a Thai tea popsicle. What a treat! Walk inside and--on this Saturday, January 3rd--it's still decorated for Christmas, which somehow adds to the cozy, unpretentious vibe. It's around 2:30 p.m. and the place is packed, which is always a great sign. We ordered the chicken pho with ginger sauce and the brisket & rare steak pho. You get the classic sides--lime, bean sprouts, basil--and we also added the crispy egg rolls, which came out hot and crunchy with a satisfying bite. The pho arrived piping hot, deeply aromatic, and comforting in that way only a well-made broth can be. They give you chopsticks for the noodles and a large spoon for the soup--exactly how it should be. The portions are generous, especially for the price. Around $12 gets you a big, steaming bowl that feels like a full meal, not a tease. The broth is clean, rich, and balanced--not greasy, not salty--perfect for a cold, rainy Long Beach day on the Cambodia side of town. I took my time with it, savoring all the layers of flavor, especially after adding sriracha and hoisin (which is absolutely the move here). The beef was tender, the rare steak cooked perfectly in the hot broth, and the noodles held up all the way through. What really stood out was the atmosphere. There's mellow, calming music playing in the background that makes the whole lunch experience feel peaceful and grounding--no rush, no noise chaos, just people enjoying good food. Come hungry. They give you a lot of food, and it's the kind of meal that's hard to stop eating even when you're full. The staff seemed very short-handed -- only three people working on a busy day. The kids were clearly trying their best (the daughter especially was multitasking hard) but they looked exhausted and the son came out in casual clothes and sandals like he'd just rolled out of bed. The dad had very poor customer service and seemed checked out, which made the whole experience feel unwelcoming. There were awkward moments when he took our orders. The biggest issue was the soup itself. It didn't taste like traditional pho -- something was off with the broth -- and unfortunately none of us could finish our bowls. We didn't say anything because we could see they were struggling. I hope this family can get proper staffing, train on customer service, and improve the kitchen consistency.
