Came here on a whim because today is a national holiday and not very many places were open. When I came to pick up my order, I was greeted by a friendly man behind a clean desk. (The outside is a little rough looking compared to inside) He gave me my food and educated me on all their vegetarian options. I came home and WOW. The veggie pho was packed with flavor! Not too watery or gingery. And my tofu salad rolls were amazing dipped in the peanut sauce. So glad I found this gem today! read more

Definitely had better (my parents are from Vietnam, so yes, I've been there and had authentic Vietnamese food before). I ordered a chicken vermecelli bowl, because I'm not a fan of pho in hot weather. It was OK, nothing impressive. I liked the green tea bubble tea. It was nice and thick. Boyfriend ordered fried rice and a jasmine tea. That was nearly $30, which I think is a lot considering what we ordered, but I don't live in Vancouver, WA, so I don't know what the cost of living is like there. There were spider webs on the beams above our table,which was a bit off-putting. Staff was pretty nice, and I like that they don't come around often, so I get alone time with my man. read more

OK, so, the most important part of pho is the broth. People who say this is the best pho in town don't know what good broth should look or taste like. This broth was dark, which suggests that the broth was canned. Another clue was that I didn't see a lot, if any, globs of fat in the broth. Canned broth is usually like this. I didn't get that good beef broth boiled with bones. This broth was also way too heavy on the cloves. I smelled some allspice too. Maybe I just got a bad batch, but it seriously tasted like pumpkin spice flavored pho. If you're into that, this place is the one. Also, there were flies whirling around close to our table. On the plus side, the portions were generous. The meat was plenty but a little on the dry side. The noodles were noodles but there was a lot of them, which is a good thing. The sprouts and other fresh veggies were for real fresh. They gave us a lot of sprouts which was good. Cilantro comes out on top of the pile so that was cool because the broth didn't come with cilantro. There seemed like there was a lot of lime too. Service was also very good too. Props for being so knowledgeable! But really, I won't be coming back because of the broth. There are better places in town like pho ton or tan tan cafe. read more

Tried this place last night because of the 4 star reviews. The food was not bad but not spectacular either. I probably won't go back because of the service. There are too many other pho places that have friendly service and good food. The man who waited on us just awkwardly stood there when while I struggled to find something on the menu for my kids. Usually this a visible cue for the waiter to chime in with suggestions. I tried to ask if there was a dish that had just noodles and chicken, and he just gave me a confused look. Sorry.... I'm not an expert on Vietnamese dishes. Then I had to get up several times....to ask for extra plates, straws for our water, the check. There was only one other table in there. We were looking for a place that is open on Sunday. And these guys were open! Awesome, right? First off parking lot sucks but OK OK I would never give a bad rating because of the parking lot. We come in very stuffy and hot place, maybe the food is good, right? The waiter brought us our waters (the waiter was not friendly at all), and then, ANTSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! Both cups!!!! My self proclaimed pho'ology degree went into effect here. We haven't been here in a few years. Thought we would give it a shot as pho'ton was closed for a wedding. It wasnt good. It was bad. It filled a need for pho' like an average burger joint would do if you just wanted a burger. The spring rolls were a nice suprise. I don't get the 4 star reviews at all. The beef Pho was not great. The meat tasted old or frozen for a long period of time before being cooked or maybe it was cooked twice. . .either way not good. The only reason I gave them two stars was because the broth was pretty good and it showed up at the table. The server seemed pissed off that he had to work today and got our appetizer order wrong and acted like we were at fault. . .genius way to get return customers, NOT! We will not be going back, especially when there are about 100 other PHO restaurants within 20 miles of this place. read more

This place was once soooooo good, I am sad to see how far down hill it's gone. The inside is dirty, the waiter had no clue what he was talking about (actually said to me "for all intents and purposes, its shrimp.") and the food was sadly awful. My noodles were still hard in the middle, our salad rolls tasted like they added lunch meat, my hubby's pho broth tasted like cinnamon water and the meat felt over cooked or microwaved. I love this place. It is in a bad area, and the outside isn't anything special. But their Pho, with chicken, is the best I've had. And I have had it at a lot of places in Vancouver and Portland. I have only had a lady server (she is possibly the owner) and she has always been very nice. Every time I have come in here, it has been busy. read more

One of my favorite places to eat in Vancouver when I want Vietnamese food. I always order the B1 Vermicelli noodles with BBQ pork and shrimp. Every time I come here, the food is always outstanding and the service is top notch. While I normally come here mid morning on a Saturday or Sunday with a mild hang over, today I got a craving for pho for a late dinner. I checked their hours on Yelp and I was excited to see their closing time listed as 10pm. We arrive just before 9 and were greeted with the friendly smile and demeanor I am accustomed to. When we were seated, we noticed the menu said they close at 9. When we asked about their closing time and explained that Yelp said 10pm, we were reassured that it was ok and were welcomed to stay. Needless to say we were more than pleased with the food and we will continue to be loyal patrons of Pho Hong Phat. read more

Just moved up here and We wanted some pho. Looked up the places and this came up. When We walked in, there wasn't anyone to greet or seat us. So we seated ourselves. Lady came by and gave us menus with grease splatters all over. After we ordered our food, she came with our drinks. The glasses didn't look clean. They had fingerprint smudges all over. While we were eating, the lady was cleaning and pushing around a big cart full of dirty dishes and it smelled heavily of bleach... Not very appetizing. Definitely won't be coming back. read more

My family and I went into eat tonight and my little girl couldn't stop coughing, so we got our food boxed up. On our way out the nice employees gave us cough drops and a cup of warm water with honey and lime. My daughter drank it all and loved it.
