Hong Phat offers BY FAR the best pho in Vancouver, Washington. With a recipe that boils for over 20 hours in bone, the owners really know what they are doing. There is no broth that compares to their beef broth - perfect blend of spices. The meat is quality usually and service is quick. I can't recommend this place enough.. I eat here once a week. Love this place they are not stingy with the servings and well priced! I strongly suggest the combination rice to everyone it's the business ! Now, I'm not shy about being a freak for pho... I ordered the traditional pho. P.1. on the menu. complete with beef ball, rare steak, flank and tendon. The medium size was perfect and they brought out a ton of garnishes INCLUDING cilantro..some places only give you basil, here you get both, along with the other things you've come to expect like sprouts, lime and peppers. I save the best for last...*THE BROTH* was fire, I couldn't get enough..very well made! My boyfriend had the spicy beef soup..it came with thicker udon style noodles, deliciously spicy red broth and loads of onions and the same meat array as mine, minus the tendon. His came in a larger bowl...yay for leftovers! Steady flow of customers early Friday night, everyone happily slurping down the great soups or indulging in some of their great rolls. Try it. Braved the small pond in the parking lot to try this place...had high hopes based on reviews. We may have caught them on a bad day, but the service was not really friendly at all. When our server came over to take our order, we asked for hot tea and before we could order the appetizer, he quickly walked away without a word. When he came back, we ordered egg rolls and received salad rolls. Instead of any form of apology, again he walked away without a word to exchange our order. This may be a small matter, but really? Even just a smile would make it all better. It felt awkward as if we were at fault for something. When our soup arrived, the shrimp pho was bland. There was far too little broth for the hefty serving of noodles they served up. Ordered delivery from here. Beef pho was decent, but the order of wings was disgusting. I thought it was weird that they had small prickly things coming off the skin thinking maybe it was ginger pulp, and then I looked closer and it was feathers that weren't plucked all the way. Some of the pieces still had a full feather on it. Disgusting. They just tossed it in sauce to cover it up. I threw away the whole thing questioning how sanitary this place is, if they can't take the time to make sure there aren't feathers still attached. Never again. Gross. read more

Pho broth is perfect, noodles were cooked correctly, they leave their coriander intact with stems which makes it easy to remove if you don't like it instead of trying to pick bits out. The flank was beautifully flavorful and well seasoned and looked like they chop it in house - and the portion of meat was a very generous helping. The woman at the counter was friendly and kind. Boyfriend and I were looking for a pho place that's open on Sundays. Our usual place was closed. Ordered to-go from here over the phone and the lady was very nice. We got the beef brisket pho and chicken pad Thai. The portion sizes were good and the quality of ingredients looked and smelled fresh. The food was lacking a little flavor, however. Not as flavorful as our usual go-to place, so that was kind of a bummer because I was craving some yummy pho. I'd say it's good if nowhere else is open, but wouldn't be my first choice. read more

Originally I was headed for the bamboo hut on 134th in salmon creek, however to my dismay, they were closed this afternoon. I clicked on the maps app to find the nearest pho provider, happened upon this joint "Pho Hong Phat" ordered for takeout - the chicken pho. When I arrived home, the lady was like, "WTF?" And I was like, "huh?" In the box with the pho fixin's there was this chunk of beef, wrapped in cellophane perched atop the rice accompanied by some really weird looking strip beef looking shit, and inside the broth there some even stranger looking spongy meat resembling product. After reading some of the other reviews I'm super disappointed. Very shitty experience all around, especially since I drove halfway across town to pick up. The service here is great! But the salad rolls . . .ugh, they were awful! Huge slabs of greasy fried tofu, watery head lettuce, no basil, no cilantro, no flavor, and not wrapped tightly. The peanut sauce is so thick and gummy, with no spice. I love salad rolls and have tried them everywhere . . . mostly in Portland. At Bui's in NE Portland, you can get 2 delicious salad rolls for $3.50. Here, I paid $6.50 for 2 horrible ones . . . I didn't eat the 2nd one! read more

It's dangerous that this place is within walking distance of my house. I had the Pho w/steak, which is a departure from my usual veggie pho. I also stole one of my husband's eggrolls. Both were delicious! The broth of the pho is among the best I've had and a large bowl was entirely WAY too much for me, but at least I had some left over for the next day. The eggroll was also delicious. My husband had the mango milkshake, which was made with fresh mangoes. Again, muy delicioso! The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars was the service. This was very disappointing. The food was cold when it was delivered, even though the delivery man had an insulated bag. The Pad Thai was extremely dry and did not have the right flavor. Food was fresh and delicious, so the wait was a little long (thus the 4 stars), but worth it. I called in an order around closing time. Their grill was already shut down for the night so they apologized for not being able to make our chicken. I was disappointed but understood. Love this place and it's close to my house. I have brought my mother when she's been in town, along with my boys. Every time I come in, they say "Where's Gramma?" That type of welcome will always bring me back! The beef pho is some of the best I've had. They always happily replace my noodles for rice. The veggies are always extremely fresh & clean. The food is of great quality and they don't skimp on the bean sprouts as well as basil and cilantro for the Pho. The Pho is pretty good, but maybe a little sweet for my liking.
