I immediately regretted it as soon as I placed the order, fearing it wouldn't be up to my standards--especially since I'm a chef and used to live in an area with a very high Vietnamese population with many well known pho restaurants. When the pho came out, it only took a few sips for me to realize I was wrong to have prejudged this restaurant. The broth was a little lighter than at some other pho restaurants; however, I could taste all the hidden ingredients like star anise, ginger, and onions. The meat was well-cooked, and everything tasted fresh. My friend ordered bò kho and bò lúc lắc, while his sister had the rare beef pho. They both finished their plates and bowls to the last drop. They are located just off of Santa Fe Ave. in a small shopping strip. The interior is very simple, with very little decor. It is also very small and only allows for about 25 customers seating. Although there is booth seating for groups of four, this place is best for solo or date-dining. The service here is fast, friendly and very welcoming. This is because it is owned by a husband, wife and son; so there is a very personal touch when it comes to customer service. I've come here twice and so far I really love the no. 46 pork vermicelli noodles, their egg rolls, spring rolls, and their combination phô soup. It is important to note that there is pork in their eggrolls and I love how crispy they are. All of the meats in my meals were delicious! Their menu is priced very affordably with the majority of the items costing under $15. They appear to be very popular for delivery service services, such as DoorDash and Uber eats. There were also many people who did pick-up. Although I could wish for more ambience inside with some music, I can appreciate that there's ample parking in their shared lot and they have a clean bathroom.
