Best pho I have ever had! My bf and I stumbled upon this place as it was close by our Airbnb. I ordered the pho tai (rare steak) and my bf ordered the pho ga (chicken). The rice noodles were fresh and the rare steak was so tender and had the perfect amount of fat on it. Most pho places taste the same to me, but this one stood out. The food was good ! I just found the service to be very cold, stand off, almost like I was infringing on their time. Like I was a bother . I believe the owner himself brought out one of my entrées. He never even said hi -even though I said hi how are you, sir? Had a frown on his face like he was just miserable. He eventually came out and sit on the other side of the dining room. I guess watching the TV and I looked up because you know that weird feeling when you know someone's looking at you and he was just sitting there staring at me.. Then another older gentleman brought out my egg rolls, the same demeanor with him . The two young ladies in the dining room never smiled. I ended up being the only person in thedining room. They spent more time on a group phone call then even check in with me to see if my tea needs to be refilled or anything like that . They truly acted like I was not welcome there . Great casual place that offers traditional pho and other vietnamese dishes. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick bite. They were very gracious in providing us an iced coffee and a fresh spring roll. Everything was very fresh and quickly served. I admit that I drive by this location almost daily but it's usually during non- meal times. I hope to stop by again soon and have a full meal--- the chicken pho is looking good.... read more

Same Pho house as the one we used to go in Oceanside! I think their pho broth is good, flavorful and clean. Not too oily. Their meat is good too, wish they put a little more though. It looks like you get about 2-3 slices of each meat if getting the Dac Biet. Veggies are pretty fresh, small amounts. Plenty of noodles. The thing that they lack is their spring roll, it's not as good or traditional as other places. I think there's radicchio in there, which made it taste a little bitter. Didn't like it. I like this Pho place better than Pho guys because there's more variety. There's lots of rice combo plates and vermicelli to pick from. Fan of options! Pretty decent pho! We will come back to try other stuff again! I got the house special pho. I like how the meats were tender and the herbs were fresh. The broth was savory and well seasoned. There was too little meat and not enough herbs though. I finished the bowl with half of the noodles left and it was a regular bowl. I'm not sure if ordering a large would come with just a bigger bowl with more noodles, or more meats? The old Pho Guys put a lot of meats in their pho, along with their superb taste, so the bar is quite high. Their fried rice surprisingly was delicious! I normally don't get fried rice at a pho place. It was sweet and savory and it's worth a try if you aren't in the mood for soup. Service was OK. Nobody came to check on us. I had to flag down people for the check. Stopped here for dinner and had the Pork Spring Rolls, House Special Pho minus tripe, and took a House Special Fried Rice to go. The rolls were better than I expected them to be. They were freshly made and the sausage was warm while the veggies cold, which was great. I would give them a 5 easily. I got the regular sized pho and the bowl was smaller than most places I've been to, but broth was very good and rich in flavor without being greasy. They also provided a good amount of fresh veggies to go with the soup, The soup was a 3.5-4, mostly because the portion was a bit small for the price. The fried rice had sliced meat and shrimp on top of what looked to be basic fried rice. Most Vietnamese fried I've had has a certain fragrance that differentiates if from other fried rice, this didn't have that, and even with the thinly sliced steak and shrimp, it didn't have much flavor so I would give it a 3. First off, I must say this place is like a hole in the wall in Vista. I come here plenty of time to have myself lunch or sometimes an early dinner to the point the waiters recognizes who I am. I often tend to forget to snap a photo most times, but this day i did it. I ordered a house special vermicelli bowl and it was delicious per usual :) the meat was marinated well and they have a pretty good serving portion for their bowls. I must say their sauce has been the icing on the cake for me. It has the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and umami flavors. Which is perfect for the bowl. Of all the times I've been here, it's always been quiet and peaceful. It's mainly why I enjoy my meals here. The waiters are sweet and attentive when it comes to customer service. They check up on you but also give you your space to enjoy your meal. Making sure your ice water are refilled. Just on it. I have eaten from here twice and both times I could not complain. The first time we ordered online and was shocked when looking at the prices. I mean, I know 3rd party companies have to make money too but $9 for a tofu spring roll? Anyway, the second time we ordered to go IN the restaurant. They had JUST opened so there was no one inside. The service is really really nice. We ordered the veggie noodle soup with veggie broth and two orders of tofu spring rolls. It does come with what looks like a rolled-up crunchy egg roll wrapper (I didn't realize it was inside until I got home), I do not know if it is vegan so I just took it out. The soup has a lot of fresh vegetables and super clean flavorful broth. There is only one size and you do not get the option of fried or steamed tofu, that I saw. I could be wrong. They give you a bag of bean sprouts (which look freshly steamed!), basil, jalapeno, and a lot of it. They also give you a side of chili oil and that really makes the soup that much more delicious! They have a small "Vegetarian" section on their menu but have yet to try anything else. We enjoy this place a lot and will continue to support! read more

This is less than 3 miles from my house and I've been driving by it for 12 years. NO MORE! Their pho is fresh and very generous. So glad to find Pho House hidden away in an old shipping center in the corner of Emerald and Hacienda. Everything there tastes wonderful, but I'm still sampling the menu. It's not cheap, but what is anymore. Almost everything, with the exception of the appetizers, costs about $18-20 to even the pho. They do takeout. Seen to have a robust local following.
